Has anyone else had issues installing REX sun textures? For whatever reason, no matter which set I select, the only thing that shows up in the sim is a slight glow. Yes, the box is checked under setting in REX. The only way I even see that is when I run the time preview. I have even tried copying over the textures and .cfg files manually, and still get nothing. I have adjusted the size of the sun to see if that makes a difference and it doesn't Not sure what else to do. I have looked on REX forum and googled, but doesn't seem like anyone else is having a problem. Would be nice to see the sun instead of just having sky textures out there.

Hey guys. I reinstall my P3dv2.5 completely. I need to give the path to the scenery.cfg to the FS Commander but I cant find it. I know that it is in appdata-Roaming-LM but I swear it isnt there. Any ideas? Wasnt the installation of p3d complete. All addons ive installed working correctly. Dont know what is wrong with that Greetings

Had my first OOM with Prepar3d 3.0 last night. Was doing a flight from Sydney to San Francisco and found that I had run out of memory when I got up this morning. Bummer. Was using Fly Tamp YSSY and FlightBeam SFO HD. I also have ORBX Au installed. Must say that I was surprised as I have done this flight before with no issues. The only thing that I did differently was that I left my PMDG 777 sitting at the gate for a couple of hours before I started the flight. Don't know if this would make a difference at all....Any thoughts?

Is there any point trying to install my FSX versions of GEX and UTX, or do I need completely new products?

Hi Folks, Brand new to P3D - loaded up a couple payware airports and noticed the the tires on my aircraft - default bonanza - sink half way into the tarmac... I tried airports from two different vendors (FSDT and LatinVFR) - same deal... Is this a P3D issue ??? The aircraft seems to sit fine on the default airports... Regards, Scott

Decided to finally make the switch to P3D from FSX. I've had a stable experience with FSX but figured with all the good news coming out of V3 that I'd be making a good choice. Here's my setup: i5 3570K @ 4.2ghz 8GB 1600mhz ram GTX 660 27" monitor (1900x...somewhere around there) This is the performance difference I'm seeing with fairly similar settings between the platforms. Imaginesim ATL with Aerosoft A319 FSX - ~22 fps with my settings looking at the entire terminal complex P3D - less than 8fps I was thinking maybe it was just ATL but while en route to DFW I was getting less than 20 the entire time and back down to 10/11 once in DFW. I'd be very interested to know how others get on using NVI with P3Dv3 and what your settings are? I'm struggling to find a good balanced setup.

Good day, I have been able to install quite a few airports and scenery after i transitioned from FSX to P3D but what i notice is that sometimes after a few days or so my scenery library is depleted. Most FSDT and Flightbeam airports are there as well as those with P3D installers but the rest i have to add back into the library. I have done this a few times already and it seems that every i install a scenery and use FTX Vector i lose my scenery and have to add them back. I've searched and found that this has happened to others but no fix. Any help is appreciated. Thank you and Happy Holidays.

I was wondering if any has a QRH for abnormal prodecures for the pro version or real life SOP? There is no documentation in the manual as i can see/tell. What do you do as a trainee ? Hi, folks. Real life has kept me away from sim flying for quite a while. I was flying a tweaked out FS9.1 setup; but I'm ready to take up P3D v3.0. My plan is to add FSG 10m USA mesh, UTX 2.1 with patches, GEP3D, HDE v2 clouds & sky, and a few favorite airports. Any cautions, tips, or other suggestions for me as I get back into this? Hi guys! Im having a struggle with SimObjectDisplayEngine. When trying to launch P3Dv3 with the new Svolvaer scenery installed im getting a error saying that SODE has stopped working. I get the same message when trying to run SODE alone aswell. I have updated to v1.3 with no luck. Im running Windows 7 64-bit. Any solution to make SODE work?

Hi folks, just curious is there any way to remove the add-ons menu item from the menubar? After installing fsuipc u see add-ons menu after help menu. I would like to know if there is any way to remove it without effecting the functionality of fsuipc and p3d. Thanks

Since early versions of Flyinside or DCOC I've always noticed a strange effect with spinning and rotating clouds, which was normal at that state. Unfortunately the effect ist still present even on actual versions of Prepar3D V3 and Flyinside 1.0 (Preview) as you can see below. I have a large amount of Justin's FSG mesh, purchased over several years. One of the issues with Justin's old installers, was a lack of consistancy regarding how and where the files were installed. A great deal of it went into the many sub directories of the main Scenery folder (including scenery/world/scenery), while later installers place them in the Addon Scenery Library, where it just needed activating. My question.... Is it feasible to put ALL the files into one or more new scenery folders in the library, and simply activate it there? If so, then using this in P3D would be MUCH simpler, and probably safer. I am aware of the Free Mesh Global, but I don…

Hi guy's, one quick question I'm a little confused about is where are we installing addon scenery for p3dv3, do we make a folder outside the p3d main folder for the addon scenery eg: D:\Flytampa scenery, and point the scenery file library to that folder or just install it to the scenery default path. Just wondering what mesh product people are using with P3D? I was thinking of the FSG 10M mesh for the USA. I also have a ton of US 19M mesh from my FS2004 install. Will they work? All guidance appreciated. Ron

The results surprised me, as from my reading of posts on AVSim, I would have guessed that FSX is the preferred app. I guess that people have probably realized that P3d and to a lesser extent XP are the future.
