Gentlemen, did no one of you experience the same ? http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=116365 I know. No systems specs etc. All i can tell right now is that the same setup brings between 35-50% higher fps. Also i had regular stutterings (up to 10 sec) in all previous releases. They are gone too. Right now i had 2 sec. pausing while coming into Aerosoft LIPE but thats still great comparing to the stops and stutters before. Will test further on and report if you are interested. Carsten

Hello guys, I haven't got it simply how the outside installation of addon will work in "reality". I can imagine to install some airport sceneries at a different folder - no problem. But I start to struggle with addons like PMDG etc. which have to be inside the Preapr3D V3 folder, right? And especially ORBX (Global, Vector etc.) which change core files of P3D. So, my question: if the next update (3.2) is coming and tells us we just should install some single modules (client, scenery e.g.) do I break then PMDG and/or ORBX installation or not? I can think that my outside installed airports are save, but what is about PMDG (and similar) and ORBX Glo…

Strange issue I have always had with p3dv3 when pressing buttons on any undocked panel, 50% of the time, the mouse pointer sticks to the panel, so that the panel moves with mouse. Only way I get around this is to right click and left click empty space. This issue can be very annoying during critical phases of flight. Press any button on panel, try to move mouse away from panel and panel moves with mouse Anybody else having this issue or any solutions preferably cheers

In my FS9 rig, I used GE Pro and UT, with the "sandwich" and any patches that came around. I was pretty happy with the appearence vs the real world. When I set up my P3Dv3, I naturally went with GEP3D and UTv2. After flying for a couple of weeks, in familiar areas, I have disabled the GEP3D textures. Even after tweaking my monitor and NV colors, it just never looked real. The greens were sickly looking, there were too many fields and the tree color didn't match the ground colors. Switched between GEP3D and default a few times, and decided to stick with default textures for now. UT2 is still running. Anyone else experience anything like this? Anyone using…

Hi gents, Today after a flawless flight with P3D V3, suddenly the sim stopped working with the error above. Solved just running the .exe as admin (just a step before getting crazy, figuring out how to repair my install). Did I miss something with win10 updates? Did anyone experience this issue with win10 pro? Never had a prob before, running the .exe with default privilege (UAC disabled). Cheers,

Used REPAIR, and after doing that twice...did an immediate uninstall from the Setup ...and finally P3D v3.0 is uninstalled. If anybody else has two versions of P3D, you might run into an uninstall failure. Just keep trying the REPAIR, and then UNINSTALL, until it does...but it will. There must be a bug or something...(scratch...SLAP!)

Not griping, but as the saying goes, "it is as it is". Update to 3.1 client and most of my add-ons cause CDT. Orbx object flow, Milviz F-4, ASN, F1GTN, and others. Guess I will just have to wait until they (add-ons) catch up.

Hello, Last night I was flying a flight on the simulator and suddenly all my control stopped working and my hat switch(s) stopped working. I am flying in prepare3D V2.5. I use a Logitech Exteme 3D Pro joystick, Saitek rudder pedals, and a saitek pro flight yoke. I've tried restarting the sim several times, restarting the computer several times, and unplugging and repluging the USB ports to all three devices. What confounds me even further is whenever I going to the control settings to try and recalibrate them they still show up in the Sim directory, but they don't work. Hi, Maybe someone here has an idea; I've encountered an issue with the opening of the main exit of an aircraft. It happened with the A2A Cherokee and the Comanche, I haven't tried other aircraft. What happens is I open the main exit from within the VC with my mouse. The exit opens as expected, but then it closes again after a few seconds and then opens again etc. It seems like the open exit command gets stuck in some kind of loop. First I thought maybe it had something to do with a saved flight. But even after I create a new flight after a restart of P3D the problem persists. Has anyone experienced this before? And if so, what can I do about it? Thanks!

Folks have been complaining about controllers pulling left/right. I tested on my system with easy setting for control realism and clear weather meaning no wind. And all was well doing take-off. Staying centred on runway was as sweet as peace of cake. But with Realism turned to 100% and Weather, in my case ASN. With Default P3D Mooney Acclaim going 30mph down runway, I nearly had to stand on rudder pedals to stay centred. I kind o had this feeling with FSX too, but not this bad. Looks like P3D is not calculating well the impact of wind on controls. 30MPH and I was fighting the rudder, there was no tornado or hurricane directly perpendicular to my AC…

I have the Piper Cub and the C172 for FSX. When I attempted to install in P3Dv3.0 it did not work. The aircraft was downloaded and appeared intact but I could not start it due to low-battery. The maintenance hanger was disabled. Checking the A2a web pages it appears that I must spend an additional $50.00US to get a version compatible with P3D 2 or 3. Given the effort to create the original aircraft I find it difficult to accept that an upgrade to P3D was so difficult as to warrant the same price as the original aircraft. I hope I am wrong and missed something.

Oh man, I think I messed something up big time. I had FSX boxed installed, along with P3d v2 and v3. I had P3d v3 working great, so I decided to "strip" FSX by uninstalling most of my scenery (LOT'S of Orbx and others), aircraft, etc., just to free up some badly needed disk space. Now, P3d won't start at all. I get the splash screen and then the window that says "Prepar3d exe has stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." So, I uninstalled P3d v3 and did a reinstall, but I still get the same error message and fail to run. Any ideas? Thanks! A Whole day wasted... not just wasted but my blood pressure has gone up because of this buggy piece of garage called Addon Manager. This morning I had updated KDEN since Flightbeam had put out an update I believe... and then I went about doing something else.. and slowly I started getting CTDs... and I spent a whole day debugging to figure out what went wrong... I tried restoring my system and that did not fix it... I still got the CTDs... I had to re-image my C drive from my Acronis backup and that still did not fix it.. I have been recently getting into the payware airports. I currently have the orbx pnw. Thinking of getting the orbx central Rockies and kjac. Since I already purchased the flightbeam kden, I love flying back and forth from Denver to Jackson hole. Since the orbx kjac requires the central Rockies region, does anyone have this? Also any coupon codes for orbx right now since I will have to buy the region and kjac together? Thanks

I programmed my Saitek throttle for spoiler, thrust, and flaps. I have the same scheme in FSX, but the only problem I'm getting in P3D is that when I fully retract my flaps, there one setting below fully retracted when my handle is all the way up. Is this a calibration issue? I can't seem to figure it out.

Hi All, Forgive me if this has been asked before, I did search and found negligible info. I love all the add-on airports available, but does anybody know if somebody has created (or is working on) just a new base/master airport file(s)? I would buy scenery for airports i fly in/out of a lot (ie: KDFW, EGLL, KJFK), but when flying heavies around the world, more airports than not have been updated in the past 10 years with new runways, etc. I find that I have to pull up a current airport diagram and compare it to what's in FS Commander / PFPX just to verify if runway 16R is still 16R or if it's now 16C, or 15R. ​​Hey, I notice when I fly over the ocean at a reasonable altitude (around 5000 feet + ), the water looks like a painting, with a regular linear pattern that seems frozen and strange looking white reflections from the clouds. I don't like the effect, because it looks like someone painted it with blue paint and left these undulations with a paint brush. I don't see movement from above, just this shimmering effect and lines going across the screen. I am running water on Ultra. I notice that when I zoom in, the water is indeed moving, but the effect from altitude is very bizarre! Is it just me or does everyone have this? I'm running REX4, and I've tried different textu…

Hi all--the progressive taxi was working fine in v3 up until a few days ago. Now when I try to turn it on, I mash the button but it won't flip to "turn off progressive taxi" and show the yellow arrows. There is no progressive taxi showing up in cockpit views or exterior views and the "turn on progressive taxi" prompt just stays "on" despite clicking on it. I'm on W7, OPUS, FTX Global, GTN 750, REX Soft Clouds, TrackIR and the four A2A aircraft. The only change recently was to uninstall and reinstall TrackIR. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Well VAS use is so much better overall in V3, but I would like to highly recommend the recently upgraded Captain Sim 737-200 for P3D V3. It 's a great package when you are in a retro kind of mood and need a break from the high powered PMDG and Aerosoft world. VAS usage is very low with this package, in case you are interested. The VC looks really good and all works. Combine it with some of the newer Alex Faber paints that look terrific in V3, especially with the lighting and shadows. Make sure you get version 1.7 of the CS 737 package. I think they also improved the FD as I find that now it behaves better when you kick off the AP and the Yaw Damper to make a heavy crosswi…

I've recently moved to P3D and would like to use SimConnect in a networked enviroment to take the atc and weather load off my flying PC. I'm struggling to get SimConnect working, and wonder whether there is a dedicated P3D guide anywhere? Regards David

Playing with the settings, I have noticed that i can not get the "Ultra" Texture resolution. I can select the Ultra setting, but it reverts back to the "High" setting. Any Input on this?
