Hello pilots. What will I have to do with all my Orbx scenery from 2.5 in order to install it in v3.1? Can it even be done or do I need to go to my Orbx account and download the scenery that has a 3.1 installer? Thanks

I am about to make a major decision about the future of my FSim experience. Been on FSX ever since It was released. I have every high quality major add-on and I THINK I want to make the switch. Should I switch to 3.1 now, or wait ? Thanks guys

What HDR lighting settings are you guys using in P3Dv3.1, are you happy with the default settings or did you adjust them?

Flying over Eastern USA mountains the is an almost total lack of autogen trees. Autogen sliders full. Looks like a specie of tree is missing. More trees in towns and cities.

Hi fellow pilots! Current system is i5 2600k OC to 4ghz seems to run stable and hold 40 fps in P3dv3.1 using GTX Titan 6gb Vram card (1st gen Titan) with single 27" monitor @ 1920x1080p and vsync at 1/2 refresh rate. I have returned to P3dv3 from XPlane 10, where I was running 3 PCs with 3 graphics cards, and getting wonderful performance no break apart, via network connection. I have all the Orbx eye candy on, including Global, Vector, NorCal, SoCal, PNW, yada yada, plus Active Sky Next, which I truly love along with Rex Direct 4 and Soft Clouds. I have installed Prepar3dv3.1 client and content, though I must say it "feels" like it's a little… ummm...Laggy; would y'all vouchsafe me in saying that here on Avsim, We have yet to see a definitive answer to the question, "What does the installation of the P3DV 3.1 scenery get me besides grief? Hello everyone, this is my first post and a good reason for it to. As I would normally resolve all my issues by using forums like these, on this occasion I'm stumpt and can't find a straight answer. It maybe a simple thing I'm missing or it could be that it's not possible. I've got tonnes of flight videos recorded using the p3d recorder and using the fsrecorder addon (old version that works in p3d). The actual recording part is not the problem, it's the playback. i can't seem to get any animations playing back, such as the engines, landing gear, speed brakes. I'm using a 2d panel and I want to resize the main window view... But in v3 it seems to be is locked... How can I do it? Thanks!

Installed V 3.1 today and I have noticed that each time I close P3d, It says that it is not responding and it takes several attempts to close the program rather than just closing like v3.0 and 2.5 did. Anyone else see this?

Hi The rule installing rex textures to p3dv3.1 was to unselect rex water, cause it leads to some corruption "am no expert" Been working this way, but anybody got any updates regards when rex water animation etc can be used with p3dv3.1 cheers

Hi all I have noticed more and more Daudalus liveries appearing on my flights. I think, on one occasion recently, Daudalus was the only livery present when I arrived at Palermo. I assume the Daudalus livery is inserted by UT2 where no livery can be found representing the airline on the schedule? 1. How do you know which airline the Daulelus repaint is gapfilling? 2. Just wondering if anyone had managed to install an A2A aircraft outside the core sim folder as per P3D3.x SDK please? I tried but ended up with lots of reported sound errors with files being unable to be found? Cheers K

Just wanted to share my experiences with Prepar3D! Yesterday I decided to do a clean install of my machine! So I installed Windows 8 64-bit and instead of FSX I decided to purchase the Prepar3D Academic version, so that I can continue to learn the Airbus X Extended (besides the fact that it seems to be the successor of FSX). I downloaded it, installed it and it just works. I can fly for long periods of time without the application doing a CTD. Graphics look somewhat better on Prepar3D but its pretty much very similar to FSX. Even connecting to VATSIM was extremely easy. Hey All, I am hoping the community may be able to help me. I installed the latest Saitek drivers for P3D and cannot get my panels to work. They are plugged directly into my PC and when using the saitek test panels, they work fine so I know it isnt a USB issue. But when I launch the game, my switch panel and multi panel dont work at all. They dont even light up. I just installed a new EVGA 970 GTX and have seen a nice improvement with FSX and Steam. Question is P3d SLI compatible? If so, would adding a 2nd 970 card and installing P3D make P3D better than FSE on my system. Thanks Randy

Hi I'm trying to cover all my bases,so hope someone might be able to help I have both P3dv3 and FSX installed and I also have FSDT KLAX ,Orbx Global and SCA installed. Hi, I am contemplating the purchase of FTX global vs GEX P3D. For FSX I own all the GEX regions as well as some of the UTX versions. I was very happy with them. But since saying bye bye to FSX, I am now a bit concerned about FTX Global giving me poor performance on my payware airport ad-dons. FTX is on Sale right now! and GEX is basically 130 bucks. Which is a greater expense but if it is worth it. Oh well. I own all the FSDT, Flytampa and Flightbeam airports. Any one here have them along with FTX? I was trying to push the envelope with performance and VAS - these are just some test flights with that I consider extreme graphics settings at 4K res (listed at end of the video) ... same flights in v2.5 would have OOM'd and about 30% lower FPS. In most cases I was able to sustain 30 FPS (Vsync lock to monitor refresh at 30Hz). I did NOT use NI ... so no SGSS AA, just standard 8X MSAA.
