Hi all. Asking for a friend who just bought one of those Pentium Dual Core G3258's for SUPER cheap. Apparently it overclocks like a boss (easily and simply on stock cooling up to 4.4) and he's wondering if it could be suitable for running P3D and what GPU to properly pair with hit? Geek bench single core performance is ridiculously good. Perhaps someone in the know here could help me understand how well this CPU might run P3D? Also, is there some particular benchmark he could run (obviously not targeting GPU since that hasn't been procured yet) that would best simulate the way P3D in particular taxes a system?

After purchasing SoCal I have hovering buildings, etc at L64 & KPSP. Probably everywhere but I didn't check. FTXORBXLIBS_151213 file was installed as well. Is there something I need to be aware of before isntalling SoCal? I also purchased Central and Norther Rockies as well. Waiting to get this sorted out prior to installing the other software. I have gotten no help on the ORBX forums since my original post on January 3, 2016. I have run the Vector config file. This screeny is sitting on the ramp with default Prepar3D KPSP. Thanks, John

Hello! New AVSIM user here! Why am I getting 20-30 FPS with my high end PC? I have disabled the FPS limit in the settings I have had my Prepar3d settings anywhere from normal to ultra, still only about a 10 FPS difference. PC: Intel Core i7 6700k @ 4.7GHZ GTX 970 128GB SSD Addons installed: PMDG 737NGX REX 4 w/soft clouds (possibly the issue?) ORBX Global/Vector Various airport sceneries Even in the sky, I'm getting between 20-30FPS. It jumps all over the place. Can anyone provide me some insight? Anyone get fsc 9.6 to run scenery library set up in p3dv3. When installing the database manager , will not find scenery location, will locate the p3dv3 location on correct drive etc. but willnot find the scenery files locations in the right hand box. Windows 10 p3dv3 fsc version 9.6 Thanks

Am trying out a 4k 40" Samsung TV. P3D in 4K looks really good on the big screen.But The framerate numbers are so small now I can hardly see it. Is there another counter that I can use? Thanks.

Hey guys and gals. This will be a crazy funny thread and the settings may work for you only if you have an equivalent system. SLI is a must. Before I begin I would Request that this thread be kept Civil and fun. We all know that KSEA area in Orbx FTX PNW is a resource hog. I wanted to see if I could figure a solution which works for me. These settings are probably not needed when not using full fat FTX regions with a heavy airplane addon like PMDG. My Idea: Yes, I want to fly the PMDG 777 as a GA aircraft on top of all those FTX regions and payware aircraft I have. Just purchased due to nice discount, but to be honest I'm quite disappointed. Ground textures are not much different to FTX Global, there are numerous trees or ships placed totally out of place ( trees on runway edge, ships in the middle of dry land ) All extra ground structures are mostly white or grey. Power plants or factories are placed without extra ground textures, just in the middle of meadow ...etc. Initially I was thinking to make more upgrades, but I think EU Scotland is enough.

That wonderful aircraft flies beautifully in V3.1. except for the strobes somewhat acting up (just kept them off). Do any of you guys/gals know whether the Lotus support forum is still operational ? I registered yesterday for the public area which is empty but to access the support area you need a second registration with proof of purchase . I sent everything resquested but didn't get any reply. Is this because of the holidays or because the forum has closed, the last news being from 2010 on the front page ?

I am looking to switch over to P3D but I have a lot of older scenery that is not P3D compatible out of the box. A few Aerosoft sceneries I would like to use in P3D. Can I manually migrate these sceneries over, or do I need to purchase the payware migration tool? I'd like to keep costs low because I already have to buy the GTN since RXP doesn't work, and if I want to fly PMDG the 777 and NGX are so expensive for P3D. Same with A2A. Thank you

Hi there everyone, I know this issue has been posted before but I couldn't see it when scrolling through the posts so sorry if it has. I have had p3d v3 for a while now but I loaded up yesterday for a night light and under the floodlights in all sceneries (UK2000, Aerosoft, Taxi2Gate and FlyTampa) but no matter how bright the floodlighting in the scenery is the aircraft (Aerosoft Airbus/PMDG 737 & 777) remains black/dark as if there was no lighting outside. Hey All, I found this video recently which did something I envied from the Steam guys for a while and wanted to know if anyone else uses this as I find it useful in my couple minutes of testing after watching this. When I fly on Vatsim, its useful to see which controllers are online, use charts, a little in-flight entertainment, and check weather without having to exit the sim. This is mostly useful for those who dont want to fiddle with a second computer.

Hello. I'm having a small problem. I'm getting this Error when installing the GTN 750 into Prepar3D 3.1. It installs fine, but when i launch the A2A Comanche, i get this. Im running Prepar3D 3.1 I download the latest wrapper from the Flight 1 store Version 1.3 I'm using the the Trainer Lite Version 5.130. I download it fresh tonight I update my A2A updater Any ideas :smile:

Hi all, Looking for information on how to create a 2D panel for Prepar3D. I own FS Panel Studio, but am not sure if the aircraft brought in from FSX will honor the panel builds. If that's not a viable method (or even if it is) can anyone recommend / advise how to create 2D panels? Thanks Andrew

With all the eye-candy airports around, I am wondering how you explore the world outside the aircraft? I use EZDOK, but there might me better options. Even at full acceleration, it takes time to come from A to B. External ground vehicles or "BOB" have the disadavantage that you have to switch the vehicle. Cheers, Chris

I am currently experiencing a problem with black (untextured) houses in the Earth Simulations Alderney scenery. More than half of the houses in the town suffer from this, and I am puzzled as to why it is happening. I do not appear to have a texture problem in any other ES scenery package Can anyone help?

Hi all, Yesterday morning I did a flight in the A2A Comanche from KKLS in Orbx PNW territory in P3D v3. The flight was buttersmooth, with my sliders all in the high regions and my framerate locked to 30. AA an AS at 2, traffic sliders at 10 for cars and boats. It was all very enjoyable, also thanks to REX Soft Clouds and ASN weather. After the flight my computer stayed on all day. I browsed the internet and later played some Project Cars, which is very good by the way! In the evening I decided to check out my newly purchased Friday Harbor scenery, so I fired up Prepar3d and loaded a flight. Good morning! In search of new things for P3D I watched some videos by Matt Davis with the Aerosoft Airbus X and I am strongly considering buying it. The only thing I stumbled upon was the "joystick issue". It's not really clear to me how to use the throttle in the Airbus. Can anyone give me some details how this works with a very simple thrust controller (Logitech 3D Extreme)? How can you set the required thrust like CLB, Flex, TOGA? And as we speak about it: Are there any other "traps" with the Aerosoft Bus? I want to use it with PFPX + GSX. I saw some videos, so it should work. This is the first time I've come across something like this but its been confirmed by a couple of others. The DME signal for the ILS rwy 24 at KCRQ is missing. You can pick up the LOC and GS. I'm running Prepard3D v3 and have tried with both the A2A C182 and the Turbine Duke but the issue is AC independent I believe. As I said a couple of others have confirmed the issue over at PilotEdge. Is there a way to edit or update the airport nav data files? Any other suggestions on how to fix the issue? Thanks

Hi Peeps i want to upgrade from v3 to v3.1,and have read the instructions etc But when i go to add remove i have only 1 listing of p3d academic so cannot just delete the client. i don't really want to do a full install again as it is getting long winded with all the addons etc.. need some advise if its possible or not i am on windows 10 and p3d v3 is working fine?
