just a heads up for all you Captain Sim lovers :lol: :ph34r: :ph34r: I used the migration tool and both planes work great. Read about a rumoured Intel CPU that might be exactly what we flight simmers want...very high clock out of the box and only 4 cores. Is it my phone not updating properly or has my earlier thread on use of google maps for scenery disappeared from this forum, with no further record of any topic or posts in my profile summary? Hello All, I am running P3DV3.1 and today I downloaded and installed ASN sp4 for P3D. Program loaded with no problem, however when I loaded P3D for first time with ASN I got two errors "Asconnect Error" and "Ambient Control Error". Message stated I could run simconnect.msi in sims REDIST. I did not understand what the message was talking about and also check the SDK folder? I do not have FSUIPC installed if that makes any difference. I don't remember running FSUIPC when I had ASN with v2.5. Never had this problem before. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

Been long time FSX user. But noticed a lot of prepar3d have been increasing a lot of late. Decided to look into prepar3d today.. What I am not understanding is the License. To use prepar3d like FSX at home. Seems it against the agreements. Can we use for home use or not? Could some please send me or directly to a post that explains this. I've been playing around with the custom camera function and I've saved a set for one of my aircrafts, but of course now I want to use them and I cant find the control function to cycle through those cameras. How can I assign a controllers, or key from my keyboard to cycle through those cameras?

Hi All - I did some research last night regarding this issue but am still confused. Here is the situtation: I just reinstalled P3d V.2.5 on my Windows 8.1 machine (it seems 8.1 may be the issue) and when I go to calibrate the Saitek Cyborg controller (just a stick no yoke or pedals) it only shows mouse yoke as an option. I also run FSX-SE and X-Plane on the same machine with no issues, so I know the issue is with the P3d / Windows 8.1 combo. However, I am confused as to how to resolve this. Some of my reading seems to indicate that if I purchased the FSIUPC license (I have always only used the free one) that my problems would be solved, but i would like some more cla…

Ok, so i've got this annoying problem. It doesnt matter which plane i choose (payware or default). While taxiing and takeoff the plane keeps wanna go to the right and i really have to struggle with the rudder to make it straight. This makes all the takeoffs bad. First i thought the problem was my yoke, but after testing without the yoke plugged in the same keeps happening. Anyone experienced this problem and know a fix to it? I would say P3D is unflyable as long as this problem occours.

Burkhard commented today on the MT forums that the next version with full 2.5 compatibility is planned by end of March (which is sooner than I expected). Think I'll hold off installing 5.4 for the time being...waiting for the ORBX libraries must have apparently instilled some patience into my otherwise impulsive self

Hello, I've done some searching and experimentation but can't quite seem to find a way to get a null zone for an axis that is configured in FSUIPC as "send to fs as normal axis". Can this be done even? Or the fact that it's sent to fs as normal means FSUIPC doesn't intercept or have no way to apply anything then? Currently, it's almost impossible to hit the dead center area on this axis so that I can taxi straight. I have a joystick that I use as my rudder but it has a "noisy" axis of course. I've tried having FSUIPC calibrate it but, this is for the NGX. So, when I do that, the NGX doesn't like it - the rudder will not move at all. Maybe there's something w…

Traffic program that will work in P3Dv3 wanted. Prefer: One that does not require me to set up a flight plan in it before using (such as the free one does). One that has traffic only around me and not world wide (hope to keep fps resonable). One that is very adjustable as far as numbers and type. Hello, First of all I know QW don't make official support for the 757 in the P3D, because that I'm here asking. I bought 2 days ago the Migration Tool after a friend told me it's worth and showed me the QW757 SP3 working fine. So I did, enabled, installed the QW757 fine on my P3D V3.1. Them I went to make a flight test, but the screens are black, I've searching in many forums since this day, I found on forum one guy tolding to run in the Legacy Mode will work, but nothing happens, same with running the P3D with the Migration Tool opened, nothing is working! In the realm of connected apps for android, ipad/phone, and networked windows PC, what apps are available and functional. I've been trying, fruitlessly, to get my GTN dragged over to a surface. Splashtop and magicdesk have been a bust. Not working much at all. Magicdesk was the closest but too slow and touchscreen didn't work. I tried Fltplan Go on my Note 5, briefly, but the desktop client didn't seem to want to connect to P3D. So..... What works, on what device. I'd love something free-ish to use on my Note, surface, or if I must get an ipad. I likely would not pay for foreflight (but tell us if you use it, and on what device) but would love to…

Years ago I was the first to mention process lasso for sims, and a great product for pc resource tweaking. Always kept iobit gamebooster though, for turning off windows services and threads not needed for sim. Welcome p3dv3 install and ghosts that do stuff to computers, iobit gameboooster for first in almost decade of use, gamebooster causing my pc to lockup when p3dv3 running. Tried bacth files to shut down and reload tasks after sim, but taskKill command in batch file does not always work. I have noticed quite a few "close to the shore" scenery anomalies in P3D v3 with PlayHorizon VFR photographic scenery active..... ** A string of default texture "islands" stretched north and north west of Papa Stour in the Shetland Isles (and in fact one or two were even visible at a similar latitude all the way to Norway). Curiously, these vanished when I switched FTX Central v2 from "Europe" to "Default" (I use FTX Northern Ireland). ** Another default texture "island" was visible just offshore near Muirfield in Scotland (north east of Edinburgh), only this one was also a massive chasm!! I know we have had a previous thank you thread for certain people but I just wanted to thank him again. I have not personally talked to him but following all his advice on the P3D forum I finally have my sim running like his videos show. Just recieved my 4k monitor (new system was built last week) tonight and set it all up and for the first time in many years (since FS2) my taxi, takeoff, flight, and landing are 100% stutter free. I run 30hz refresh at 4K. I know there was some disagreement on this with Vsync but for me it works great, for others I understand it may not. Thanks again Rob.

Hello all! I've seen a few different posts about if running Prepar3d on multi-socket systems would have any better performance. However, all I've seemed to find was that the only answers deemed it "not worth the cost." Now, at work, we have spare server components unused (motherboards and processors are the only things we have laying around of value) and quite often use spare parts to build little hobby servers. Since I wouldn't be paying for the motherboard and two processors, all I would need to make a good investment in would be a decent graphics card. But before I sink $200 into a card, is it even worth it? Setting money completely aside, will P3D v3 make use …
