JF released their DH 104 Dove several days ago. It is in many ways an excellent aircraft model and the reviews of most purchasers are positive. The general sounds are good as well. However many users have noticed that there is no startup sound sequence (there should be the Starter running followed by the engine coughing and starting up before it settles down to run at idle). If you take a look in the Dove Sound folder you will find that the starter soundfiles are referenced in the sound.cfg but the starter wav's themselves are missing in the sound folder. Hey guys. Are there any programs that will allow me to practice set and random fauls and emergencies in p3d? I know certain aircraft addons have this integrated in the addon itself (likd pmdg 737,777) and iknow of fspax and fs captain that also simulate emergencies, but the latter two dont specialize in it. With them its a part of abigger suite of features. Im looking for a more emergency specialized addon for training purposes.

after updated to vector v135 I get scenry.cgf error, could not find are 003. And same with area 100,101,102 and 103. P3d v3.1 and ftx base And vector config tool is gone.

Anyone know if you can change the size or colour of the ATC text in 3.1 or is it hard coded. Thanks JB

Recently I have been having a problem: when I start a flight (usually cold and dark), startup and prepare to taxi, let off the parking brake, I notice the red light in the lower left hand corner BRAKES is illuminated. When I apply throttle, the a/c won't move. I press the "." and the buttons assigned to BRAKES and it will not release. Sometimes I startup and all is OK, and then after taxiing to the runway and braking to slow before turning, the brakes lock and won't release. When this happens the only solution seems to be to start another flight (i.e. reload the aircraft). This happens with all of the a/c I am currently flying (A2A Cherokee, Carenado Navajo, …

So, after concluding that my PC is not up to snuff I've been convinced to build anew. Orders are being placed and hopefully the build will be complete within two weeks. If anyone is curious, it'll be an i6600 with a gtx970. I'm purdy darned excited. That being said, I'm planning out my new sim setup and would be delighted to get some input on scenery/mesh/textures/weather. Currently I have orbx global with orbx socal (socal disabled due to low fps). With the new setup I'd like to run real time weather. I would like things to be a reasonably simple install. Hi guys. Since making the move from V2 to V3 I have found that my trusty old Saitek controller would not cooperate with the latest version of P3d. Some of the axes would not be recognized within the game but appeared to be recognized and work fine within windows itself. This lead me to believe it is an issue within P3D. Further investigation into this problem led me to find that I am not alone in this situation and many are facing the same troubles. What is the best program to make short videos, say around 30 seconds max, in P3D that wouldn't drag down the FPS?

Looking at getting prapar3d. What version are people using? Should I save and get the professional? Is that the "legal" one to have?

I have V2.4 which I am very happy with the performance. Need help as to why I would want to upgrade from a version for me has good performance. I've read about all the new features. But will I be disappointed with the performance? Thanks to all who reply. Bill

I am offering this as a warning of a payware product, advertised at SimPlanet as a new company with two products, with a 40% discount, as a start off advert for them. I am wondering if someone can help me. I have recently purchased the above via 6 DVD discs I downloaded the discs with no issues but the problem occurs when trying to complete the install. I select P3D v3.0 as my version although I am running 3.1,I then select all continents,then select C Drive for the installation and then get the following message; 'An error ocurred whilst executing install action # 149 installation will be rolled back. I checked in my scenery library and the entries were there but they were marked as errors as the path did not exsist. Hey guys Question, I have Orbx sp4 aus for p3d v3.1 installed and global. I have oceana active only whilst flying in aus. Now is global deactivated or do I have to untick via library? Same goes when I fly from say Sydney to Vancouver and only have global active Do I have to untick aus in world scenery library in game ? Or is it deactivated via central already? So I purchased the awesome Real Air legacy v2 on release day and so far I have racked up 1000nm in her. I decided to fly her all the way around my home island ( Australia ) as I sit here in the cold Yukon. My question is what's a realistic service ceiling? My two flights I climbed to FL250 with ease. I can't remember my airspeed but according to the GTN750 my GS was 280 kts. Today out of curiosity I looked up the aircraft specs an apparently its service ceiling is only 18,000 ft. Seriously?

Is anyone else having a problem with the panel lights not dimming on the new Real Air Lancair Legacy in P3D V3.0?

Just bought the GTN 750 for P3Dv3 and get an incompatible version warning and so no GTN shows up in sim. Wish I had know this was not ready for the updated P3Dv3 version.

Hey. Im "old" user of FSX Since FSX is at the market I have very large amount of addons-sceneries and planes. I bought P3D v3 and Im really happy how big improvment have compare to FSX. Lets leave FSX airplanes and talk about sceneries. My sceneries are installed at different SSD that P3D or FSX are installed. My P3D and FSX are again on to spare partitions. So what I did is-I add sceneries from FSX to P3D by some scenery Configurator. It was working greate but.. I notice this not smoothness (stuttering) especially when taxiing and on final app. I always fly payware aircraft and airport scenery. My fpm is set unlimited and fluctuates around 20 - 35. I use opus weather most times. I have i7 2770 and GTX680 hardware. thanks Paul
