I sent a support ticket to Carenado looking for the list of AC that are V3 compatible, with installers (see below). I was not sure if "not published" meant not listed on their website, or the installers have not yet been published to the Stores? Does anyone have the planes listed below with v3 installers? Hi, I'm wondering the following: Is P3D V2.x scenery by definition compatible with P3D V3? (Regardless that it requires an updated installer) Or is the structure way different and needs V2.x always an update? (not installer) Reason to ask: Currently I'm in the process of installing P3D V3 and not all sceneries have V3 installers yet. Can I just copy them, or should I wait for the officlal installer updates?

Did some playing around in avatar mode to explore the new ESSA scenery but haven't figured out what is the easiest way to get back to my aircraft/vc once I'm done exploring? I tried the default attach/detach command CTRL-SHIFT-E but noticed that doesn't work and guess the problem is I'm too far away from the aircraft. So...does this mean I need to run all the way back or is there some other way to "reset" the avatar to end up by the aircraft he originally was detached from? Or maybe the easiest way of all is to simply load a new flight...?

I've been eyeing this one, commercial packs by Perfect Flight -- http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=2645 It says that it is for FSX -- would there be any issues trying to get it to run in P3D? Cheers

When I set the parking brake in the Concorde X, the lever in the cockpit responds and is set to park, I can do this with a controller through FSUIPC, by keyboard shortcut in P3D, or by mouse in the cockpit, but the red flag/label in the lower left corner of the screen, with which P3D indicates the parking brakes are engaged, doesnt show. And when I want to align the INS, I get a message saying that the parking brakes have to be engaged to align INS. So it seems that P3D doesnt recognize the engaged parking brake in the cockpit, preventing me from using other systems. Anyone knows what the problem might be and how to fix this? I'm using Concorde X v1.31, with P3D …

I am new to Prepar3D, but love it so far! I loaded up an old copy of FSX on a new machine and did not like the performance, so I looked at this sim as a good current sim to move to. Loving almost everything so far, except that I cannot get a stable framerate. I've read that this is mostly due to the CPU doing most of the rendering. I've done some affinity mask stuff I've read about, and it does seem to help, but not cure the problem. I can get 144fps at high altitude with most settings turned up to max. Hi all, I only have one SSD on my setup which contains both P3D and my OS. It is starting to get very full (<10GB free). I do have a HDD with lots and lots of space. Going forward is it possible for me to install scenery onto the HDD? Will this slow down anything significant in the sim? Which files would I need to alter? Thanks for the help. Dom

Good day fellow flight simmers. I have installed a few South African airports from a local developer into P3D v3.1 and have used them flawlessly. Today when I fired up P3D, all my addon scenery had disappeared and the scenery folder was back to default. All my addon airports gone including FTX Global and FS Global Ultimate entries. The airports were no longer displayed in P3D although they were still installed on my PC. FTX textures and FS Global Mesh was still present in the sim although not in the scenery listing. I have FTX Orbx. I have FTX Global Base pack and OpenLC Europe. In the North of the UK Scotland i have patchys of land which is sand. I also have UTX Europe installed. If i disable UTX in Library my FTX Global goes all patchy. So it seems without UTX enabled in scenery library my Orbx goes all messy. Ie patchys of bright green grass and snow P3D V3.1

hi , i fly quite a bit in northern Canada and live in Terrace,BC. CYXT runway has been extended from 5000 to 7498 feet a while ago and even the scenery was right in FSX but it looks like it still has not been updated in pd3 v3. just wondering if i can do it myself. there is a download at flyaway simulation to update the airport but only would work in FSX. there it is: "" CYXT Terrace - British Columbia, Canada. I am new to using fsuipc. My question is do I have to open fsuipc and click on profile specific everytime I load a different aircraft? Not sure if fsuipc is supposed to load the controls automatically.

I did a quick search of topics, but did see this discussed... I currently fly v3.0. Everything is fine. When v3.2 comes out, can I install it alongside my existing setup? Can you share scenery between two versions? Nothing urgent; just curious. Ron

Hemming and hawING on the whole orbx texture thing. Sure they are colorful and rich, bUT I'm not sure the world looks like that. But I am interested in vector data to fix coasts, lakes . Can I use orbx vector without the texture package?

There are some clips in the link above where the camera is looking out over the nose from inside the cockpit. Does anyone know of software which would allow a user to record this view during a flight but what the user actually sees is the normal VC view. This is probably such a simple question to you guys. But basically I'm fly and ILS approach and it guides me on to the glide slope but obviously I can't keep the localizer on for the entire approach so about 5nm out I disable VOR LOC and fly it manually however at that point my plane seems to drift away from the runway and when I see other people land they seem to just be lined up with the runway and can land perfectly without losing alignment. So my question is how do I stay aligned to the runway all the way to the ground? Regards, James

Hello there, I have a problem. And when I go into the Wingview, it takes up the ground textures reload always 2-3 seconds. From about 2000 ft altitude 3-5 seconds. Settings in p3d ca on medium. Hi All, I finally purchased a new computer yesterday from jet line systems. I know I could do it for cheaper, but really don't have the time or know how to build my own system. The computer I am getting comes with prepar3d v2 pre-loaded on it. I will probably upgrade to v3 at some point. I have a couple of questions. 1. Do I have to have FSX (I do have gold edition) installed in order for 3rd party addons to work, or do they work as long as it lists prepar3d as one of the platform options. 2. Hello everyone, I have had some issues the last week with P3D that has caused me to reinstall it completely, it all started with the purchase of FS2Crew NGX Reboot. For some reason it was hanging P3D and I was forced to close it, at first I thought it was tied with the programs state " Descent Checklist" how ever after more monitoring I noticed it would happen every time I re sized the windows or went into the menus. I decided after opening a ticket with them to uninstall both the NGX and then update my sound and video drivers on their counsel. It worked up to a point, it would still happen but now it was less predictable. I then decided to completely uninstall P3D …

I'm using Win10 64bit Full version Fsuipc Ezdok latest beta for v3.1. Ftx global with vector also all NA Regions with a few airports. Active sky next Sp4.1 Rex 4 with soft clouds. Also have Flightbeams KSFO KPHX KDEN. FsDreamteam GSX. What's happening is when prepar3d loads up and I'm sitting in the aircraft about 10 seconds later the little load screen pops up like its trying to load something. And that only lasts about 3 seconds. Is anyone seeing this? What could be causing this?
