I just took a flight in the Legacy from KMRY to KSBA and am hugely impressed! I usually fly PNW with the Orbx GA AI package installed, and run the GA slider at 100% - I like my airports to be "active". To clear the air a bit and cut down on the load I also run AI Traffic Manager, and around my two areas usual areas (KPDX and KORS) it will eliminate about 100 aircraft. Otherwise, the amount of frames thrown away to managing GA traffic is just ridiculous. To my surprise (and delight), the SCA skies were alive with aircraft - it is apparent they carried over some of the coding from the PNW GA AI package into SCA - and when I fired up Traffic Manager it removed about …

Howdy once again..... Still vetting P3D V3 and have yet to complete a flight of any importance in my 777. I had saved a flight in case of an oom.... The flight was from SAEZ in Buenos Aires to KIAH in Houston.... Completed about half with a graphics crash nearing Panama. Trying to complete the flight by loading the one I saved which was close to northern Argentina... 2 things... 1. When trying to load flight from the start screen..... Image is frozen and p3d proceeds to crash. 2. Loading after using the default flight... Loads up normal with the exception that I can only grab the knobs on the MCP. Hey everyone, I know there are many different topics regarding settings, but I have been doing some testing and am trying to break down everything and how it affects the sim on my machine. I did these tests at a default airport as well as FSDT KLAX. Apologies to you venerable, learned bunch for bringing this up on Christmas Eve - but what, if any, are the pros and cons of that option (given that widescreen monitors are the norm these days)? [pour me another Port Dearest - it may be a long evening]

Was curious as to which one would you guys prefer to use when flying commercial aircrafts such as the PMDG 777? It's a tough choice for me, but both has pro's and cons, when flying at altitudes above 30k feet, I think photoscenery would be better, but when flying low and at dawn or dusk, then FTX Global. I don't think you would be even able to see the night lighting in FTX Global flying that high anyways.

Hey guys, the other day I successfully installed the PMDG MD11 into P3D v3 and did a test flight with no issues. Today I installed the FedEx livery, and upon loading the bird, it now crashes the sim, giving the ATC.dll module as the fault. This does not happen when loading any other plane. I have not yet tried to uninstall the livery and load the plane, but I need the livery in order to do the flight. What's the issue here? Hello, I own ORBX Global and since yesterday EU LC, but I don't like the lighting in Orbx. It's way to colourful for me personally. Is there a way or alternative to change it and make it bit more realistic?

I purchased the new ORBX Southern California Region today. Did the download, but it's not showing up. I did get an e-mail showing I made the purchase.The same thing happened with the purchase of the A2A B-17. I went to the Flight Sim Store to look up my A2A purchase and it doesn't show in my account. Both are not showing in FSX. This is weird. Anyone else having this problem?

I have Orbx's Eagle County Regional Airport scenery installed on my Prepar3d 3.1 setup. I had just landed my aircraft at the Avon STOLport airstrip (which is included in the scenery package), looked up in the sky, and saw a helicopter flying over the area with a gigantic, green exclamation point balloon slowly rotating above it (see the pic): Can anyone else confirm a similar sighting (not sure if it makes any difference, but the date was set for December 27th, and the time was about 11:30 local time. Cannot get VNAV in PMDGs 777 to work even though perf page totally filled in FMS says unavailable AND center fuel tanks will not keep assigned load

Hello, I've read the definitive guide to the Orbx products and it was helpful. currently I have FSX gold edition and have ultimate terrain, UTX-US, Alaska and Canada; all of the regional scenery packs and numerous airports, mostly in the NA part of the world and a number of FSGenesis landclass software titles. I will soon be upgrading to the Steam edition of FSX and will reload all my a/c and scenery. I was wondering if this would be the time to upgrade the scenery to FTX Global and all its parts. I generally don't fly outside of these areas but perhaps I would if the scenery with Global was that much better than the default. Can I still use the regional scenery p…

For those who would wish to pump up FPS readings while operating in the South Cal region...I suggest you go into the Configure Menu...and un-check Windmills..moving and static. That has always been an FPS killer..especially around Palm Springs...

Hi Folks, Question - I've read about vendors supporting the F1 GTN gauges in various aircraft - but - can I still plug the F1 GTN into any aircraft I want if there is a suitable spot and it will still function in the VC ??? I understand it won't have 3D nobs - just want to insure it still operates in 2D mode - - - how we used to do it with RXP... I thought I saw some posts where it mentioned it being dark in the VC and you had to launch the popup to operate it... Thanks... Regards, Scott

Very frustrated here. Bought version 3.0 when it first came out but never flew it as I couldn't fly using my joystick. Elevator and ailerons were functioning but not my throttle or rudder control. Regrettfully I uninstalled version 3.0 and reinstalled version 2.5 along with all of my addons. I was excited to see this problem was to be addressed in version 3.1. So after downloading version 3.1 and doing a total reinstall of version 3.1 I still cannot calibrate my controller. There is a calibrate screen now but I am unable to assign my throttle or rudder axes. Is anyone else experiencing this problem. Im asking because when i went there to purchase Orbx stuff at the Flight Sim Store, if you put in the currancy for U.S. dollar its ok, but when you go to check out it switches to AUS currency, Is that right? Thanks Ed

I was about to purchase and noticed it said for P3D V1.4 ... after some searching it appears the F1 B200 does support V2.x also. However, access to F1 B200 forums are restricted until after purchase ... I heard a rumor they have an update out for V3? Accurate? Cheers, Rob.
