Hello, Im having this problem, most noticable since i installed ASN SP4 for P3D v3, i tested OpusFSI and almost doesnt happen, so im assuming this is ASN related. Small chunks of clouds dissapear normally when im approaching them, i tried to change my P3D settings to low levels, changed the layers on ASN and other settings to low but always happens. Anyone also has this? Thank you

Good evening all, I am about to plunge in and buy P3D, I'm wondering, as it will be a fresh install on a new PC, if I am better to wait until v3.1 or just buy v3 and upgrade it when it comes out? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, I'm having an issue where I cannot taxi aircraft once I push back and get the engines started. No matter how much throttle I give the engines the wheels spin but the aircraft just sits. This seems to be an issue only with the Aerosoft A320 series and the PMDG 777 as the majestic Q400 and the NGX I have not had this issue. Anyone have any ideas? I think I can rule out scenery as I've had the issue at both payware and default airports. I'm hoping someone here is more helpful then on the official P3D forums as all I got over there were rude people who thought I was in competent. Getting a bit boring with all the talk of Ifly 747,Youfly 747, Wefly 747 and the Housefly 747 LOL. I know the RealAir stuff,and these guys are among the best. They just have no earthly clue what the word "soon" means and the importance it takes on one you are past a certain age!! I have give up on Carenado. They just are never going to improve with their reported attitude so the pickins are getting kind of thin.

Hey! I just want to share a tiny plugin i wrote that is supposed to mimic the camera system of X-Plane. I really like the X-Plane´s way of defining and retrieving camera positions by using the numpad. And since i was not very lucky installing my EZDOK plugin in Prepard3d V3 i just decided to write my own camera plugin :-) Until now it is not even in the beta phase but i want to give you the opportunity to play with it and maybe give some feedback. I bought several Orbx regions for P3D and I'm disappointed because everyone was raving about it being the best. However it is not very realistic at all. The textures are not sharp when you go down low even though I have a powerful machine (6 core Haswell Xeon overclocked to 4.5, 32GB RAM, GTX950). When your flying into a region, like approaching Ireland, the textures and mountains all look like soft mush until you get very close. I have most of the sliders on high or max. I bought Central Rockies, and from Jackson airport, the Tetons are all rounded and soft, they look like default mountains!!! What is the issue here? It looks terrible unless you are on top of the…

POsted my problem on Orbx-forum, but get no answer. Perhaps here is somebody who can help me. I installed Scotland for the first time, but there is no chance to start/land anywhere: On every airport in scotland are trees on the runway and the taxiways. Applied both patches for scotland, but with no effect. On the screenshot you can see Kirkwall. Any suggestions what to do? In the meantime i've installed the latest orbx-library, ftx-central2, but nothing changes. This lovely scenery is useless for me, if the only way to see the airports is to reduce autogen to minimum. As noted in the thread title, can anyone with the above aircraft let me know if it works at all with V3? I'm leaning towards picking up V3; however, I don't really care to have both FSX and P3D installed. I don't have a lot of incentive to move towards V3, but lately there's been a few small things that have me thinking about it. That said, if I can't use my beloved DA20, I'm less inclined to make any move yet.

hi I have a strange issue. None of the sceneries that I have recently purchased appear in my scenery library. I get an error "SCENERY.CFG file error. Failed to add library item[Area.170]. An entry already exist with the path". Can anyone offer a solution thx Lee

Simmers, Recently purchased P3Dv3, and am currently in the process of installing all of my add-ons. I have, however, run into something of a hiccup. I cannot seem to access Avatar mode. In the aircraft selection, under 'select avatar' it states there are no avatar objects available (there is no drop-down list or anything of the like). Same situation with all the other aircraft available. I have on numerous occasions tried to assign new hotkeys for the attach/detach, all to no avail. I thought EZCA may have been the conflict, but even after restoring all the camera/aircraft config files I couldn't select an avatar nor enter avatar mode. Any suggestions on what I can d…

I can't seem to figure out how to disable my xbox controller in p3d. I use fsuipc and controls are unchecked in p3d. I want to play pc games during a long haul, but invariably my controller alters the plane while p3d is minimized. Does anyone know how to stop p3d from getting inputs while minimized?

I persevered with the desire to have no errors when error logging is enabled in P3Dv3. My remaining error was ... Key values exist outside of a section: File:E:\Games\Prepar3Dv3\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 777-200LR\panel\panel.cfg Key: as well as other spurious errors about duplicate key names. It turms out that the PMDG 777-200LR\panel\panel.cfg file has embedded unicode. I just loaded the panel.cfg file into notepad, cut and pasted the text into another empty notepad window and saved it as panel.cfg (ignoring the unicode warnings). No More Errors.

Doing my p3d setup test win7 [email protected] GtxTitanx Been away from simming a while, so having to test current version of addons as well Back to latest fscaptain from an old version was a rude introduction to a more complex program in a not so well managed way, but still great program if you choose your version wisely. First off I only recommend these addons working together on networked PC, using simconnect and the veery easy widefs for fscaoomder nand airhauler Simconnect for proatc and asn. 1. Flight plans done in proatc when in hurry, but I think fscommander plans are more realistic, example single engine flight plan stays close to shore.…

Hi, I'd like to purchase P3D but first I need to buy a new PC. I have a limited budget, so the thing I'd like to help with is what combination of CPU and GPU would be better to run P3D on: Intel Core i7 4790 + MSI GTX 960 4G or Intel Core i5 4690K + MSI GTX 970 4G ? Additional question: Is better to have i5 4690K overclocked or i7 4790 without overclocking, concerning the fact that hyperthreading is not supported in P3D yet? Thank you for any advice.

Do not know whether it is appropriate to post here about issue on installing ivap. When I tried to install ivap, it cannot recognize my p3d path so it cannot work. How should I install it? Is IVAO not support p3dv3 yet? Thank you Joseph

Hi Folks, Only spent last weekend messing with P3D for the first time... My default P3D V3 screens don't appear to have the same pop as many images I've seen... I've used reshade in other sims and I've seen it mentioned here... Do I want to install reshade with P3D ? If so - anyone have a setup procedure handy ??? Regards, Scott

I've recently purchased the Real Turbine Duke and I'm having some issues with the nav instruments. Here is the test flight: Takeoff from KISM rwy 15 with the Treasure (TRV) VOR tuned on Nav 1 at 117.3 and set the obs to 130 on the HSI. On the climb out the red nav flag in the HSI disappears but there is no movement of the CDI, its at max deflection and stays there no movement at all even if I rotate the OBS completely around the dial the CDI will not center but the TO FROM flag changes. No idea what is going on here with the Duke? If I do the same in the A2A C182 I get CDI deflection and can track to the radial. Works perfectly! I'm running Prepard3d V3 . …

Just picked up the Real Air Turbine Duke V2. I have a question regarding the Nav radios and guages. Sorry if its a dumb question. I assume that a VOR tuned on Nav 1 is displayed on the HSI and that the VOR or ILS tuned on Nav 2 is displayed on the guage below the HSI? Is that correct? The guage to the left and below the HSI displays the ADF and a VOR heading but I'm not sure what VOR heading? I can't seem to find any documentation on the guages either in the Flying Guide or online. Thanks!

What to buy up to 6 Orbx airports but not the surrounding scenery or Vector. I still prefer MegaSceneryEarth 2/4 and other photo scenery such as BlueSky, etc unfortunately John's company wants to control everything. These are the airports... NA KSTS Sonoma County NA KSQL San Carlos NA KEGE Eagle County NA PAHO Homer + maybe FTX Southern Alaska if the granite rocks have been improved (important to me). Plus EU Southampton EGHI Any comments would be helpful unless you try to convince me to ditch my photo scenery. Darryl

Can we make these airports depended on region work without regions? (an Oxymoron?) IF you have Global, why can't we add those airports... Regions seem to be performance sucking items. I unchecked (Active=FALSE) the region and the airports lost their buildings Anyway to get around this? I prefer Megascenery for California. With all those airports I have for CA (FSDT KLAX, LAtin VFR San Diego, Orange xountry, FB's KSFO) Megascenarry helps with FPS. I don't want to add CA Regions just for a couple of Orbx Airports. I prefer Orbx KPSP since that doesn't depend on Orbx region. Orbx is good for small GA aircrafts (that doesn't consume FPS) but for airlin…
