Hello. I just received the news that there is an update to P3D. Version 3.1 is out there, at about 10GB of size, and I want to make this big step. However, I have absolutely no idea how to go about it. 1) LM says that we should uninstall the client from control panel, and install the 3.1 client. IS this the 10GB file that they are referring to? 2) I read that I will have to reactivate my product. LM says that I should uninstall current instance of p3d before installing a new one. Does this mean I have to perform a clean install of 3.1? Or is this an alternative to the update client? 3) How will this affect my add-ons? I have many airports and a few airplanes purcha…

Hi Folks, Pretty new at this FSX/P3D thing and ORBX (one of the last of the diehard FS9 users)... Anyway - I'm getting my P3Dv3 setup where it needs to be with "the usual suspects" of required addons... One question - I've read about some poor performance even with the newest high end machines with some of the region packs... I have "ORBX Global/UTX2" which seem to play nicely together and frame rates are extremely important to me... While I know many of the airports say a region pack is required - - - is it truly needed ??? Obviously - airport boundaries might not blend perfectly with Global terrain - but - do the deficiencies without the associated region pack rende…

Hello, I'm currently running P3DV2.5. I decided to install P3DV3.1. What is the simplest way to install FTX global into the new sim ? Should I download again all the FTX files assuming there is now a V3 installer or is there a shortcut ? Also is there a way to export my sim as well as my FSUIPC controller setting or should I start all from scratch in the new sim Thanks a lot for your help. Best

Hi, got a small little window while running P3Dv3.0, blank, looks like a command line input window but i cannot move, resize or close it. Even not possible to place the cursor into it. Any idea what that could be? Tried taskmanager to find the belonging process and had no success deleting entries in DLL.xml and EXE.xml ... thanks a lot :smile: (By the way: "The gallery can be used to upload images you wish to share with the community. Last night I installed the update for 3.1 (only client and content) and everything seemed to go ok...no big issues to speak of. Then I attempted a flight in the PMDG 737NGX and was going through the preflight process and once I was ready for pushback, I attempted to release the parking brake and it would not turn off. The cockpit click point is there and works, but the brakes will not release, additionally each time I press the brake pedals (Saitek) the brakes (red letters) will flash but immediately come back and stay on. The brakes and everything else works great in all my other add-on aircraft. Any suggestions? Carl

I'm using nvidia driver 358.91. I'm experiencing random black flashes in the sky and not sure what this means? Is it my drivers? I'm using windows 7 and P3D V3.1 it also happened on V3.

Used FSX p3d for over a decade and only just realising this. Not sure what the conditions need to be. But when around fuel stations you could get fuelled well beyond your max takeoff weight witout rreaising it. Something that could easily ruin a flight at dept airport. This feature is really out date, is there an easy way to disable this globally. I was on the verge of blaming fscaptain, till I read a post indicating its been this way since fs2004. LM needs to disable this or provide dialogue box asking if you want fuel. In my case after loading with fscaptian, I get pushback, and the fuel station is right behind my parking spot. Just curious if you're experiencing problems with getting multiple sound channels simultaneously, for example P3D + RC4 + LiveATC. I'm having pretty weird issues I had never had with either FS2004, P3D 2.5 - I can hear either P3D internal sounds, such as FS2Crew, but not external sounds such as RC4 or LiveATC or any Youtube or Netflix sounds. The latter go through REALTEK soundcard somehow, but not through Logitech headset (Logitech uses it's own drivers). Ran out of options to solve the issue. Thanks

and with this great sale..decided to reduce that list to only three or four not to be purchased. They don't truly interest me, and one of them San Carlos, I have heard causes a possible OOM issue with being too close to San Francisco, Oakland, etc, if your sim is pretty flat lined opened up, in the Graphics department. I have started the update from P3D3.0 to v3.1, using only the install_Client.msi I have only uninstalled Prepar3D Academic Client from W7 Control Panel and afterwards installed the install_client.msi in the same folder where all P3Dv3 program is located. I have found a way in order to avoid the problema, and is unchecking the Show Scenario Startup Screen button ... if I do so, the simulator works good and I can fly without problems, at least into the flight I have done of about 30 minutes. Hello, Sorry for the stupid question, but is ORBX Global compatible with all the Add-On airport scenery you can find here in the AVSIM Library? There are some very good airport scenery here that I use and I don't want them to be unusable with ORBX Global... Are the two going well together? What about UK2000 and FlyTampa scenery? My final Xmas gift to myself...more out of curiosity, than anything else..lol Curiosity just doesn't kill the cat...it also does a number on the wallet as well, lol! I did a full uninstall and a full install. Everything came up beautifully. All my addon folders were still there, so all I had to do is bring them back on line. ASN, Addon manager and objectflow were updated quickly so now I have everything back and working. A few re installs like FTX ground and REX soft clouds, but over all not a lot. I must say the new version does feel better (it's subtle but it's there). Love the new water, I'll keep it.

Hey All, So I have just recently setup a successful connection for a network connection between my main PC and my secondary one (thanks to Froogle's Video). Now, I'm trying to install ASN on the secondary one and have it run on my main PC. I am not too sure on how exactly to install it. Do I just install it the default way or do I install it on my shared drive and run it off of my secondary PC? Or is there another way? Also, could I install and run 737NGX on the second computer with FS2Crew and RAAS Professional or does that have to be on the main PC? Any help would be appreciated. Looking to make the P3D world feel more like 'home'. I've seen a few videos of people that stowed their favorite aircraft in a virtual hangar, some even with custom JPEG banners on the inside walls. Starting from a stock airport, all of the hangars I see are closed buildings, which makes sense. Is there an add-on for P3D that lets you create and store your favorite plane in a hangar? ...electric door opener optional Thanks!

Just made the switch from Windows 7 64-bit Pro, to Windows 10 Pro. Trying to re-install the Prepar3D which worked fine in Win7m but after the install finishes and I try to click on the desktop icon, I get an error box that it cannot start because of MSCVR100.dll is missing, yet I have copied and pasted it from my Win7 drive. Any ideas/suggestions, please? Thanks.

Last night I bought and downloaded P3D and the P3D-compatible PMDG 737/777 plus ASN. Installing later today. Looking forward to the new experience and would welcome any tips based on your experience. My current system is five years old but runs FSX SE on Windows 10 extremely well with the programs I mentioned already installed. Cheers!

Hi all- I'm getting this error after installing the 'new' standalone addon manager after in installing KLAX. I'm running 3.0, not 3.1 BTW. Uninstalled/reinstalled all to no avail. Hi all! Well, it feels like im starting to get a little bit bored of P3D. Dont get me wrong, i love it and i love to fly.. but there isnt a real challenge to fly inside the sim. I want it to be more realistic. How can i experience regular turbulence in the 737NGX and feel like its bumping when landing or takeoff? Is it even possible? I do have ASN and ezdok installed aswell. Im just looking for more realism instead of the same thing every time, starting up the plane, flying (straight, with no bumps.. zzz) and land again. Maybe there is some fun missions i can try? Does it exist a mission addon for P3D? The default ones are so so. Hoping for some input on this,…

Hay guys, thinking about getting the 4K monitor from for Christmas. Can you guys recommend one, or is it even worth getting the 4K monitor. I would like to see what you guys think of them, or maybe the guys that already have one what do you think how do you like it?

Its freeware at www.aero.sors.fr look on left side lower down on the webpage for FSControl It an inflight gadget that provides a raft of aircraft data and control options. Am new to it, but currently mostly using it to provide Auto Throttle for default Mooney which has none. Runs outside the sim, has connect button to connect to p3d. I was amazed that it also has about 4 different auto land/ runway line up assist options. This helped me greatly lining up for runway without ILS. no more DME etc for non ils approaches.
