I was a huge naysayer when 3.0 came out. I was miffed about the upgrade cost for what I thought was so little. I was doubtful about the VAS improvements. I was doubtful the devs would get on board so quickly and update their products (pretty much free of charge!)... and so on. I can say I'm heavily flying v3 for now. While I've still got FSX and v2.5 installed (for beta testing purposes) I rarely touch v2 and occasionally use FSX boxed. Even poor old XP10 hasn't had much lovin'. Hello All-I've seen on Air Daily X's compatibility list that A2A's B377 COTS and Piper Cub are in "final release non-official" for P3dv3. I've searched the A2A forums for step-by-step instructions how to do the install, but can find nothing. The only posts I've dug up simply say it's nice to have both aircraft back again in P3dv3 and how well the craft are working on the platform. Normally I'd wait for an official A2A announcement of native installers, but in the case of these two aircraft I'd bend that rule. Does anyone know of step by step instructions to do the installs? Hi Folks. Does anybody know please, why it is that when I set my Propeller and Mixture levers for my Saitek Pedestal at the top, the only reach 80% in the cockpit and I have to push the last 20% up using my mouse on the levers in the actual cockpit. I have tried setting both with FUISIP and I have tried setting both in the control panel. But still I only get 80% when the levers are pushed to the top of the Pedestal. This is for all my light aircraft in P3D, not just certain ones. Hope someone can help. Much appreciated. John

I get an error every time I try to start P3D v3.0. Tried various "cleaning solutions", etc. I believe I need to reinstall Framework 4.6. However there is no clear step-by-step for that using Windows 10. Since parts of Frameworks are moved to the operating system with each release and a "non-Windows 10 specific" process may be a disaster. I see in Windows 10 there is a function called RESET that reloads Windows 10 and retains all "personal files". It claims to remove "apps and settings". Ever since fscap started its fuel calculations were lways buggy. But you could bypass this by entering your own figure during the dispatch in admin. However no matter how the fuel figure was arrived at in Dispath either your figure or fscap figure. Once fuel being loaded inside sim, fscap always loads extra in my instead of 500pounds loaded 600pounds So the fuel figure agreed in admin is now NEVER what happeans at load, meaning fuel planning impossible. In my case planning ga flight with range that requires nearly full tank, and fscap needing extra unplanned fuel makes the flight impossible cause its asking for more fuel than the ac tank. I had a terrible install of Ezdok, and it has messed up my cameras in P3D v3. The support for this software seems a bit difficult to grasp at the moment. The name is the first confusing thing...When I first purchased it it was called EZdok, and now it is called EZCA ? Eventhough I disabled the virus scanner, it came back on and and scanned and said that EZCA/Ezdok.... what ever it is called is a virus. I can do two things. 1. try and get the old cameras back, knowing I can be confident that they are there if Edzok doesn't work. How can i do this? 2. I'm trying to get ReShade to work in v2.5, but it's causing some really annoying crashes. It seems that when the sim loads (that is, after I start a flight), ReShade is enabled. If I click on a menu right after it loads, it stops responding. The same thing happens if I open up ASN. However, if, after my flight finishes loading, I disable ReShade using the spacebar, I can open a menu, or ASN, or otherwise 'alter' the simulation with no problem. If I then enable reshade, I can mess around with the menus without causing a crash. However, if I enable ReShade, load the sim at a different airport, I cannot use the menus without causing a crash. I know this is very expensive, but does flightdeck solutions have anything for those of us who want to build a 777 cockpit. How much would something like this cost about and what do you use for your the screen? I've seen some amazing cockpit builds on youtube and it looks so realistic. But mostly 737, no 777. Is this something that you can easily put together yourself if you get all the parts or does it require a high degree of technical knowledge such as wiring and soldering, etc?

Hi Thinking of moving some addons to win8 laptop , and need advice on some issues. Would be my first time running addons from network addons moving 1. ProATC 2. ASN 3. Fscommander Concerns 1. Would be nice to be able to run from Sim PC and laptop just in case I have issues with network, will license allow me to do this. 2. I already have all these addons setup on sim pc so don't want to change a thing there till all confirmed working on laptop. 3. Well, at least when you're driving- on the road. LoL I have not moved to P3D, yet.. And, I repeat, 'yet' However, I'm starting to see good things and great things about P3D. I am getting more eager of switching some day soon. And, perhaps if all goes well, I might just be one more who will be singing: "Never looked back." - Question: Is there a way to modify the colors within P3D? Such as the color tone and saturation? I noticed the sim seems to have a general 'black and white' tone; so, I'm wondering if the colors can be improved. (perhaps something like what Sweet FX does.. Or. if S-FX would work with P3D). I have been interested in getting TIR, but how well does it play with the latest version of P3D and add-ons such as EZDOK, and such? Are there any sort of problems before I purchase this? For example I play on a 30" monitor at 2560x1600 but plan on getting a 50" 4K TV later. Will the TIR experience be the same no matter the size or distance that I am from the display? I see it retails for about $150 on Amazon. Does anyone know of a better place that I can get this for a lower price?

Hey all, I've bought the P3D (V2.5) to my pc and I can't install it. When I open the wizard I need to select a destination path to install the simulator.. I leave it as it is - the default path is: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2' but when I am clicking Next somthing is wrong! The wizard can't continue the installation and I am getting the eror 0x8007066. What should I do ? How can I ensure that there is no another version of the p3d on my pc? Regards, Aviv

Anyone got this to work. I followed the instruction but when I use my Samsung Tab 4 to connect..it just hangs.. I tried changing the IP address..but no matter what I enter..its not connecting. Any ideas how to diagnose the issue? Nevermind..its connected: the P3d cannot be in replay mode nor Paused.

I was wondering how many people fly with the failure settings on? And if so, do you use the P3D failure settings or those that come with a cockpit, like the PMDG 737-- where you can set random failures and service failures.

A little apprehensively, I decided to hit install on win10 this morning. Seemed to be quick and painless, and I am rather surprised that I'm getting 45-50fps in the Majestic Q400, when in exactly the same scenario with exactly the same settings but under win7 immediately before installing 10, I was only getting 20-25fps. I've not read anything that would substantiate why technically this might be the case and I was certainly not expecting it, but its one particular gift horse I'm not looking in the mouth! Has anyone got the Level D or Captain Sim 767 to work with P3D V3? I would like to purchase one of both, but I'd like to see which makes less trouble installing in P3D V3. I have the Estonian Migration tool.

Most of the airports will work fine now that objectflow.dll has been updated to work with V3. Even if the airports don't have a V3 installer or even a V2 installer they will work with the migration tool. Some of the airports won't work because they have specific objectflow.dlls that aren't updated by the ORBXLIBS installer and they will cause an error message when you load the sim because those objectflow.dlls aren't compatible with p3dv3. If you try to run them the sim will crash and if you don't load them most of the buildings and objects at those airports will not appear at all.
