Hello, i noticed that when i switched from 2k to 4k in p3dv3 ( i don't know if this is the main reason ) sometimes in certain random flight, i get really blur texture near me for a lot of seconds before they becomes more detailed like normal.. I have this issue when switching from different camera to another, like external and getting back to virtual cockpit.. But, i noticed that the texture in general are all a bit slower then before to load at 100% resolution and the result is that its finish loading really close to the aircraft.. i fly with ultralight and GA so i can see really well what happening flying at low altitudes. Hi guys, So I've just re-installed everything from my P3D installation over to a new SSD to take advantage of faster loading times etc... How do I restore all my custom views and keybindings for EZDOK? I have a full main hard drive backup, as well as a full backup of my P3D installation from before so if its just a case of copying files over I can do that, but which ones do I need to copy over? Hi everyone God .. I am tearing my hair out with this one I have downloaded and installed ASN Build 5707 and the update SP3 5707 I have also made sure that the paths it requires are all correct ..... I start ASN and it tells me I am up to date with everything .... Greeting All I currently have FSX, FSUIPC, Aivlasoft EFB Client & SimConnect modules installed and running on one computer (Call it SIM#1). On another computer thats networked I have: FSWide, ASN, Aivlasoft EFB, FSFK, VA-ACARS & all versions of SimConnect (Call it CLIENT#1) I am just completing the build of a new computer where I will install: P3D-V3, FSUIPC, Aivlasoft EFB Client & SimConnect modules(Lets call it SIM#2). Good Afternoon, Does P3Dv3 limit the amount of entries in an aircraft.cfg file? I have almost 400 entries in my FAIB B737-800WL folder, and half don't seem to come up in UT2. I checked my numbering order and everything looks in order and in the correct format (no missing brackets or . before the number] If so, I should be able to make a new folder and copy the model folders, .air file and create a new .cfg file correct?

Hi everyone, Has anyone succeeded to install Pilots' FS Global Ultimate into P3Dv3? If so, could you please point me to any existing installation instructions. I have successfully installed the mesh for The Americas in FSX-SE and now want to install this same mesh using the 'Scenery Layers Only' method using Pilots' installer downloaded from my account at Pilots. I have an Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme sound card with all the latest drivers. Also, have V2.5 in which there is no sound problems. I check both versions .CFG files abd the lines in the [sound] are exactly the same. What happens in V3: No sound with the stock ATC, just text messages to the ATC window, Now, if I add RadarContact & make an ATC call, the call starts but then fade away. Text does appear in the RC window. Yes, I have the layest version of FSUIPC.

Hello everyone, I am not really looking to do this but wanted to know if it was possible. Kind of like a proof-of-concept. My question is, is it possible to run P3D at a stable 60FPS when in the Virtual Cockpit of a PMDG 737 or 777? At the moment I have no problem pulling this in the outside view of these aircraft with a 4690k and a GTX 970. However I am wondering if it is possible with a much more powerful machine to get these sorts of framerates in the virtual cockpit view. What are your thoughts?

Yes, I have checked the date, and it isn't April 1st. A member (Raymer) on the the Prepar3d website is reporting explosions and craters on the runway whilst taxiing? Yikes!! Which tweak is he using to get THAT level of realism? Mike Young (from LM) is investigating but, until they get it sorted, I think that I will be giving Rafic Hariri a wide berth for a while! :ph34r:

Hi, Just a short report from a flight between Düsseldorf and Copenhagen. LOD6.5 HD 2048 and dense autogen with 5% road traffic. Oom on ILS 22L comming from south. ASN. UTX 2.1 roads and OPLCEU. 3.5gb on takeoff and VAS was never reduced during the flight. Michael Moe

As many (most) of us now know, P3D v3 has set up an system of configuration files where they encourage us to place our add-on products. Moreover, they have even provided command line parameters we can use to automatically add our new paths to these various configuration files! Sweet! Hi, I'm always struggling to add Mesh in the scenery.cfg Not the adding process itself but determining the order and priority. So here it goes: What is the correct/best location in the scenery.cfg for adding Mesh? (Talking about P3D V2.5 and P3D V3 if different). Is anyone else experiencing poor performance of these two sceneries? In both, I'm experiencing frame rates in the mid teens while performance in other high density airports like Aerosoft Heathrow or fly Tampa Toronto are in the mid to upper 20's. My rig is a new build. I7-6700K, 16 GB DD4/3000, GTX 970.

Ive got FSX running fairly smooth with my new desktop. Before I go Ape crazy with addon purchases for FSX can someone tell me why I should look to P3D? Are frame rates and smoothness better. Are terrain features better and better rendered and modeled. Are the default airports better than FSX here are my specs. I just have that urge to share my experience of installing and trying P3Dv3 yesterday, as someone who has only used FSX as any alternative flight sim. I was nervous as I have a pretty modest PC; i7 2700k 3.5Ghz, with a GTX670 2GB, 8GB DDR3, on Win 7 64 bit. As soon as I ran the stock P3Dv3 I was blown away be the lighting and shadows - just stunning and great out of the box performance. After some setting up (great thread here on AVSIM on nVidia settings for P3D) and optimizing of my settings for my own preferences, things just got better. Hey guys, I am curious as how to setup DSR for P3D to omit the requirement of AA but how can this be done if P3D is only pseudo full screen? I have been told some members have achieved this though so I would like to pick their brains. When I change the resolution to a DSR value, it doesn't change the appearance of the sim like it did in FSX. Only thing it does is make everything look more fuzzy, like FXAA being on.

Hi guys so I have noticed while taking off on runway 34L almost half way down on right side of the runway slightly off to the right I get a flicker of texture just for a short length and then just one or 2 buildings flicker a little that's it. any advise is greatly appreciated. mike.

I tried with the MikViz Garmin 430 and it doesnt have the R NAV approaches. Can you do R NAV approaches in prepar 3D with the F 1 GTN 750, 650 or the Mindstar 430 and 5530?

I installed the NA Freeware Airports and need to disable AEC on an airport but the freeware installation didn't include the config tool unless I just can't find it. How can I download the tool?

So with Vector installed, I have run the elevation tool and tried to disable and then enable KSEZ (Sedona) scenery and no matter what, Sedona airport runway elevation is always off. Any fixes or ideas?

I have noticed a certain amount of autogen "pop up" in P3D v3 that was not evident in P3D v2.4. Has anyone else noticed this?
