Hi All, I currently only have one scenery add-on installed and that's ORBX PNW. I have been considering purchasing FTX Global and FTX Global Vector and I just wanted to see what people who have used it thought of it. Have you enjoyed it or have you found more problems with it than it was worth? I would sincerely appreciate any and all feedback on these two products. I know there's a ton of information on this online and I've been pouring through it this afternoon, but I always get great feedback from the community here so I just wanted to hear what people here thought about these products. Hi, I have an Nvidia GTX780 3GB graphics card fitted. I am running Prepar3Dv3 and I have seen plenty of comments stating that the graphics card usuage should reach 90% or more. Montoring my installation my card doesn't seem to go above about 35%, this is when running PMDG 777 at UK2000 Heathrow extreme with ASN, FS Captain, ProAtcX, Aivlasoft EFB and FS2Crew. This should be about as demanding a scenario as possible to load up the grahics card. I have monitored it using NV Inspector and GPU-Z. ReakAir Duke P3Dv3 looks GREAT! Sounds GREAT! No problems downloading / installing outside of LM main folder. Need to take it for a ride now.

Just wondering about the behavior of these items in the P3D v3.0, especially if I put them on top of the UTX. Interested in VAS usage, possible blurries etc. They have almost 50% off selected products now.

Found this, and I want to apply Affinity Mask , but do not understand how to do it, adding to the cfg file is not the problem, what I dont understand is the rest of the instruction. The easiest method for modifying the affinity mask is to open the windows calculator in programmer view, select the binary display mode, and flip the bits in the binary number displayed to select which cores the application should run on. Note that the cores are represented right to left. UT2 is working without issues in P3Dv3. I used the migration tool. There is a YT video on how to do it although I don't have the link to hand.

Hallo. I follow an guide in this forum how I can install My Traffic 6 on prepar3d v.3.When I started installation shall I first follow My Traffic installation guide before I read och follow installation on the guide on other place in this forum? Kjell

Dont know where to put this but I recently purchased AivlaSoft EFB and updated its latest Airac cycle 1511. But when I press the position button, the aircraft is not positioned at the correct gate. For instance, if I am at gate A20 at FlyTampa Copenahgen, it display me as being 30-40 north of it. Anyone know what might cause this issue? It is like this at every airport. No point having this position on top of chart feature when it is incorrect.

I had done an uninstall and re install of P3D v3. On the re install I get an error stating "could not write value to complete key \Products\009FC23734139FB708B8BE073AD\Features." I found that if I ignored it, the game installs but I have issues with installing addons and them not working correctly. Any way to fix this error in the registry? Thanks

I have had the immersion folks trouble shoot their effects not working on P3D. They found no problems with their software and could not get it to work on my system. I have uninstalled and reinstalled P3D and am still having issues getting the effects to work. I have not found any solutions on the P3D support forums. I have uninstalled an reinstalled the immersion software several times. Not sure what the issue is. If anyone has had these issues and got them to work again, I would love to know how. Thanks

Hello Am thinking about upgrading my GTX 770 2Gb card to a GTX 970 4GB one for P3D and FSX, the question i have is which one to buy as there seems to be quite a few makes, can anyone recommend which one to go for and are there ones I should avoid? many thanks Daz

I know it won't be an easy question to answer, but I'm sure someone will have an idea. I will soon be upgrading the GPU of my 4-year old desktop, as well as transitioning from a HDD to two SSDs. I'll list the proposed specification below. I'm not in a position to upgrade the MOBO/CPU as it would not be worth the investment (for me) at this time. Anyway, if possible, all I would like to know is: What kind of performance increase could I expect to see in P3D? Also, will the SSD potentially reduce blurries or decrease texture loading times? -i7 2600k @ 4.5 GHz -GTX 570 1.5 GB > GTX 970 4GB -8 GB RAM -256GB SSD (P3D) & 256GB SSD (OS) Cheers. :smile:

All, I have not jumped into v3 yet. I stopped using PMDG, so VAS improvement does not have the same impact to me. However, I do many GA flights with RealAir and A2A and F1 planes, and lately I have disabled all of the ORBX stuffs due to performance. I used to tell myself to enjoy the eye candies and put up with lower performance, but lately I value smooth flight experience more. So my question is: do the ORBX stuffs perform better with v3? I tried Googling but no answers. My spec is modest: i7-2700K [email protected] Ghz, paired with a GTX980 6GB. Not state of the art, but not slow either. Thanks in advance.

I tried search but AI is not allowed? So I apologize if this is already done somewhere. Can I just delete the FTX AI? They don't work with Traffic 360, I see they are still in the FSX folder. Thanks Gord

Hi there all, been away from the sim for a few weeks after an unsuccessful start with it, but, now that it seems a bit more stable, I am going to start adding my hanger. I have installed the a2a Cessna 172 to the same drive as the sim and have 4 folders for sim objects, effects, gauges and fonts, which is I believe the future way of this sim. My question is this, how do I let P3dv3 know how to find my aircraft? I dare say its been asked already but I had a look through the SDK and its all gobbledegook. I know its to do with the cfg but just need some pointers. Many thanks, Terry

V3 is great. One thing, have any of you run into getting a fatal error on exit? I get it every time and I can't trace where it comes from. The sim performs great when in it, it is only right after exiting that I get the fatal error message, Any help will be appreciated. I'm still on W7.

I've been running FSX in Widescreen (NVIDIA) at 5760X1080x32 over 3 - 28" monitors. I installed P3D V3 today, however, even though the resolution is set in both the config file and the P3D setup start screen - it won't stretch over the 3 monitors. Pretty sure I'm just missing something so hoping someone will know what. Thanks,

I am lead to believe a good system to run it is; Mobo- ASUS 7170-A CPU- Intel i7-6700K Skylake – Over clocked to 4.6 GHz GPU – GTX 980Ti 6 GB H100i Watercooler 16GB ram DDR4, 3000Mhz 1TB SSD Windows 7/10? I am looking for positive and negative points on the above system please, I am aware that P3D runs on one core mostly (although I know LM have adapted this a little so it uses more), So would I be wise to spend the buck on the Skylake or would I be just as well off with the 4790K/5930K? I need help with the correct driver for the Gigabyte Geforce GTX 680 video card. I'm running Prepar3D v3 in win 7 professional The card was given to me and has little use. I am replacing my Asus Radeon R9 270X with this and have little knowledge of the nvidia video cards. My CPU is an i7-4790K (nil OC) I'm not overclocking the video card. I updated to the latest driver, 358.87 after fitting the GPU. While running a loaded departure in Prepar3D v3 for a short time I lose the graphics and get a black screen, I still have atc and other sound but no screen. Surprised to NOT see a pinned of this or something, while I know that NVIDIA is best for fsx and such, and that's what most have, there are a lot of users with AMD and I have been searching to read up on this before buying and see that it plain put doesn't work. Initial flight loads and then after a few seconds it crashes with display driver errors. So what's the deal..? I recall reading somewhere that it's a drivers issue,seemed to be on AMD side but no news of a fix??

Any of you with such a setup and having problems? I bought P3Dv2.5 just a month before v3 was released. I am skipping v3, until a 64 bit version is released... but I bought the PMDG 777 to use with P3D, and have all my other stuff running in FSX:SE, so, would like to know if both sims can co-exist peacefully ...
