Since it's much easier to show than explain, I uploaded a clip to youtube showing my problem. Basically, when paused or in Slew, all is well. As soon as I get out of that mode it all goes to...well, you know.... Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Hi Never had crash issues with p3d2.5 gtn, but since p3dv3 gtn been crashing about every other flight. usually either 650 or 750 will crash, but not both. And before you say to post in flight1 forum, don't go there much and tried today, its a heap of multiple passwords ID, certificate jumbo confusion to get into the support forum for gtn, was already a member but seems you another account for support, too much complexity to get at support. wil appreciate feedback from any who has had the same issue. Forgive my stupidity here please, could anyone who runs 4k help clarify for me please? Does running 4k give you a wider FOV for the same zoom level, or just a much greater resolution but essentially the exact same view? :s Thanks K (Im not sure I get the FOV stuff yet sorry!)

Hi all I have been doing a bit of nigh time flying during the past week and night time graphics are not ideal. In particular it's the scattering of the aircraft's lights on the ground and in clouds in particular which is problematic. Instead of an even scattering of light with soft blending of light shading, there are distinct hard edges of the different shades of light. It is most prominent in clouds. Additionally, if I look at the aircraft fuselage externally at night, there are hard edges of light shadowing running down the length of the fuselage. Regardless of the profile that I use with my X55, when I press either Switch 3 or Switch 5, it causes the under carriage to activate (it's effectively the same as pressing 'G' at the same time). I've even used the default profile, which does not have anything assigned to either switches 3 or 5, but it still has the effect, i.e the undercarriage is activated! It is only a problem with P3D as FSX is fine. I first noticed the problem with the AS A320X, but it is also the same with the default Beech Baron. I've got all the up to date Saitek drivers and software loaded. Does anybody have any suggestions or it is just another P3DV3 bug? Peter

Hi- I'm trying to assign ASN to a particular core. The problem is when restarting, ASN gets reassigned to all 4 again. Is there an app that will keep the core assignment between flying sessions? Thanks, Mark

Hello everyone I've a question, For example I'm flying with headwind 70-80 knots. This will cause engines to run faster and so I will have fuel problems. How can I calculate how much extra fuel do I need for strong headwinds (e.g. 70-100 kts )

I took everyone's advice here and turned off NVI. I am now relying only on V3 internal settings, 8X Samples, 16X Aniso and FXAA on. It definitely gives you slightly better and smoother FPS and no problems in clouds, but now there's a slight blurriness to everything that was not there before when I used NVI with SSGS at 4x and in sim, 4 samples, Aniso at 4x and FXAA off . Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to get rid that last little bit of blurries that now appear with NVI off. Can NCP help in anyway? Any thoughts will be appreciated. My rig is i7 4770k, OC to 4.4, 16gb Ram with a 6gb GTX 980ti. My sliders are at moderate positions, I don't pin them to the right.

Since trying out X-Plane, I now can't live with the default view handling of P3D and would like to get EzDok. With getting close to Black Friday, should I wait to see sales or just buy now? Has anyone seen EzDok go on sale?

Just converted to Prepar3D V3 from FSX:Steam the other day and I'm running into a bunch of compatibility issues (not surprising). For the longest, I was running FSX:Steam along side boxed FSX with not many issues. However, in my quest to improve FPS I started to realize the boxed FSX was confusing my add-ons slowing the system down. Decided to remove boxed and that's when the fun began! Gave up on FSX and bit the bullet on Prepar3D. Started trying to load add-ons and ran into a bunch of registry problems (add-ons looking for FSX that had been removed). Hi, I'm having a problem with the combination in the title. If I load a flight plan in Pro ATC then I get the scrolling message across the top of the screen in the 737. I change the frequency on the primary VHF to ATC as indicated, and I get the background chatter start. However, when I press 1 to select departure clearance, all I get is a click, and the icon changes to a hand that's clicking a button in cockpit? I've tried changing the keyboard shortcuts in Pro ATC, I've tried having the copilot do everything - and nothing - and it doesn't seem to make any difference, which makes me wonder if I've somehow managed to turn something off in P3D - a feeling that is …

Hi all i am having problems with out of sync taxiways and gates. i'm using various add on's which may affect but i'm not sure...., i'm using Pro Atc X, GSX. so when i land at an airport pro atc x says park at gate 15, so i use gsx to request the follow me and it takes me over grass rather than taxiways and the gate it sends me to could be in a car park or anywhere, even with warp me there option. even when starting the p3d at a gate i have aircraft parked next to me half over my aircraft. i have used the makerunways software as instructed in pro atc x setup. is it a P3D issue or an add on issue? any advice would be great

The title says it all really. Awful FPS and huge stutters with clouds in P3d v3. Even if the FPS aren't low it will stutter madly. I just installed PNW in P3Dv2.5 and all my FTX airports, but at all airports some or all ground textures have this strange line-pattern. Also at CYSE I'm missing all the buildings. Small objects and some ground textures (again with the strange line-pattern) are showing, though. I tried to run the installers again, I tried to delete the airport folders and reinstall them and I tried repairing P3D, but I cant seem to find out where the problems come from. Anyone any ideas about how to fix this?

I've seen a few images of P3Dv3 users who have their avatar character wearing a Hi-Visibility yellow vest, but after some Google searching (and AVSIM library) cannot find any downloads for this. Anyone know if and where you can get yer' fella a vest? Thanks

Hi guys, I'm learning to fly the PMDG 777-200 at the moment and I did a flight from EGCN (Doncaster Sheffield, UK) to LEIB (Ibiza, Spain). I'm fine with the ground config and takeoff etc..., but I wanted to know how I find out the correct altitude I have to be at when I want to capture the Glideslope when trying to perform an ILS approach. I usually set this to around 3500ft which works fine in the 737-800, however in the 777 this left me way too high, causing me to have to manually descend and land even though the Localiser was captured and Approach Mode switched on. How do I find out the correct altitude I need to be at in order to capture both the Local…
