Hi, as above , Situation is a saved flight you want to load but at the same time you want specific grahic settings for that flight. If you choose first a saved graphic setting file from the drop down menu in the main P3Dv3 menu and afterwards load your saved flight/situation the settings is not ported over. That meens that if i have a saved NGX at Gate A20 it is the latest flight graphic setting that rules. Not optimal. Loading a grahic profile afterwards has always been a bad ideer and cost VAS sometimes. It is also not possible like in the FSX days from the menubar inside your flight. Hi everyone, I simply cannot get EZDOK to work in P3D v3 after just doing a fresh install. I've read numerous articles and forums on how to use migration tools and different methods of getting it to work, but I don't have FSX, I've never has any other versions of P3D installed before, and this is basically a clean installation now with just an airport and the PMDG 737 pack installed. Is there any simple solution to getting EZDOK installed into P3D without needing any migration tools or previous versions of Flight Sims? As I understand it they are supposed to be making an EZDOk version for P3D shortly, but I'm not sure if that's true? I'd really love to get…

Hey guys, I have a few questions that will probably seem very basic to all of you that are in the "know" but I have been solely an FSX user period. I have come all the way from FS2000 to now. I work part time in the IT industry, I am very familiar with the famous and not so famous tweaks that made FSX what it was today. Somebody found the updated for P3dv3 on their pcaviator (USA) store account, or have news from the store upon the availability ? Ex.: AS-FSDG release free update for p3dv3 and DD have supposed to deliver freew Warsaw 20013 to Warsaw X update. Hello Simmers; I need to find out the best config. for Nvidia Inspector for my Prepar3d V2.5 and V3 I can`t find a good config for it and I think because of that I`m getting instability issues. My PC specs and tweaks are: Windows 10 64x pro Intel i7 2600K OC to 4.3Ghz using Corsair Hydro liquid cooler 8GB of RAM 1866 SSDs GPU: 2 x ASUS GTX 660 Ti DirectCu "SLI" Maybe some has the same config. I'm not really sure where to start with this one. I bought a brand new Acer Aspire V Nitro, i7 processor, Nvidia 960m, 12gb Ram and windows 8.1 and I'm having problems. I also have a desktop PC and I have p3dv3 working with all of my addons and I'm fairly certain I have installed it in the same way on the laptop. When I recieved the laptop I replaced the 60gb ssd with a Transcend 256gb ssd and did a clean install of Windows 8.1 onto the 2TB hard drive (It was originally on the 60gb ssd). I have turned user account control off, I always did this for FSX so I do it for p3d. I am the administrator and run the programs in administrator mode. I have installed Pre…

Hi I want to get some scenery for P3D - moving away from the default. I am not really knowledgeable on it and there seems to be several mainstream alternatives. From what I can gather by reading various threads, one way to go seems to be to install FTX Global base scenery, then get vector and openLC or even UTX scenery for any specific areas I want to enhance, and finally, specific airports on the top layer. Does this sound ok or is it problematic? /Jason

Hi guys, I'm actually considering getting REX 4 for P3D v3, but does it have a weather engine by any chance? When I used FSX a long while ago I loved how it could download real-world weather, can REX 4 do this now with P3D or will I need another tool for that? Been using DestinationFinder (great OLD freeware) to choose my flights for years. Fear of tons of addons messing up the sim install kept me away from airports, other global scnery like fsglobal ftx were ok. Now following posrts on avsim I now have a system of scenery/texture/effects folder outside sim that works well for freeware airports I seen so far in early days of trying this method. This system deals with my fear of addons meesing up p3d install cause the airports are outside sim. However soon as you get to orbx airports that need to work with ftxglobal ect which I also have, I loose control of install location. Also I have 2 folders named D…

Hello. I have been simming for about 6 months. I have learned many things through practice, and watching 14 seasons of "MAYDAY" and now I am trying to get deeper into what I am actually doing when I play P3D. I registered on this great forum, which offers useful and helpful information and tips. I need an "explain like I'm 5" explanation of what BARO and MINS knobs do. All I really know is that when I am past transition altitude, I have to press the STD button under the BARO setting. Everything else, I need explained. Just wandering if anyone has had any problems saving a scenario in v3 ? If I'm on the Scenario screen and changing to a different AC , scenery , time of day etc and hit the Save button I immediately get kicked to the desktop . This also happens if I hit the ; key . I'm running Win10 64bit , GTX 770 4gb(latest drivers) . What I've tried : reduced OC 4.2 to 4.0 as suggested somewhere here at AvSim . Ran sfc /scannow to check for any system errors or problems(none found) . Checked Event Viewer and there were ntdll errors at times and a few other times some Win10 errors . If you dont know this make sure you make a copy of your original cameras file - Ezdok will add its own entry's and it will not return it to its original state fyi - its messy if you uninstall ezdok

Hello, I have PNW region and FTX Global with FTX Global openLC Alaska/Canada installed on my machine for v3. My question is which group do I apply in FTX Central 2? If I apply FTX Global with openLC I really like the scenery I'm getting but the airports are the default p3d and are not good. If I apply the North America Pacific Northwest region do I then unapply the FTX Global/open LC stuff? There doesn't seem to be a way to have them all active? Morpheous

Does anyone know how to reduce the shimmering seen with the night lighting? Very unrealistic and annoying. On a side note...does anyone know how to reduce the flicking of the clouds in the distance with active sky next? Also very unrealistic and annoying. Thank you.

I got P3d v3 to try it out and I do like the lighting and effects. However, I seem to be stuck with the default planes as there are not much V3 planes out there as yet. I would want to install my Carenado Caravan for example (the first one) but it only installed to FSX as the installer did not ask which simulator.

What does this cryptic title mean? Well firstly, there has been no announcement from ORbx of any update to bring NOR to P3Dv3 compatibility just yet.......... so if that is a red flag to you; I'd advise to read no further. Hi there, so, just installing a posky B777-300 but I notice a 10 - 12 fps drop in cockpit view compared to default cockpit aircraft, anyone knows why, does texture compression may solve this problem? Hi guys, Till P3Dv2.5 I was able to use the Ifly Cockpit Builders Edition and enjoyed it a lot. As the Ifly CBE does not work in P3Dv3 and it will take quiet a while ,if ever ,before F1 will make it compatible I switched to using Project Magenta ( their 737-800 package : airfile and aircraft.cfg included + FSX 737-800 ), which I owned since 2003. After several flights I found that the aircraft was too fast on descent and using the spoilers did not slow it down. As I know a bit about adjusting the flightdynamics I increased the spoilers drag a bit so with full spoilers and throttles to idle the aircraft would slowly decrease speed ( -2200-2500 ft VS ). Hi Everyone, I installed the Estonia Migration Tool on my machine, and now P3d V3 doesn't open. I click on the prepar3d icon on the task bar, the Prepar3d splash comes up, then the normal loading screen appears for about 3 seconds and then the sim closes. There is no information in the event viewer related to it. I don't get any CTD message, it just closes and that's it. Any idea how I can find out what's wrong?
