Hi all, I use a second monitor for the ATC window (as in v2.5), but in v 3.0 this causes a very strong decrease of the FPS (from 30 to 15). Any suggestions? Thank you

Well I took the plunge and purchased v3. I didn't used v2 (v2.5) that much since I had GTX 560 which simply wasn't enough for decent performance. I've got GTX 960 2gb couple of weeks ago as preparation for v3. First start after setup - was about 85fps on default settings, and I thought that is not good, as soon I crank up autogen and shadows, fps will drop like a rock as in v2.5. Closed the sim, and ran it again, and started to crank up the settings. Set up AA, AF, texture resolution, wide view, fps was the same. Scenery complexity/autogen on extremely dense, water detail on ultra with terrain and airplane reflections, special effects on high... fps was 80. What …

Hi, I don`t see nowwhere in the animated trees. I've tried a variety of different places and weather (default scenery and with heavy winds) but the trees remain static.All setiings is set to max (also extremely dense autogen and effects and so. on..). What may be a problem? Is this thing works from other users?

It may be to early but does anyone Like Version 3.0? I need a day or two to get ready for upgrade but there must be some guys with something positive to say?

Gents & Poppet, I've not purchased any versions of Prepared but am interested in making the plunge into v3. However I'm interested to see what the snow and rain looks like by default with no aftermarket effects packages installed. Mainly, I want to see if snow is now floating to the ground in v3 rather than falling like javelins as it did in FSX. If someone would be kind enough to post a short YouTube video showing what the snow and rain looks like from in the VC and in spot view I'd greatly appreciate it.

A very disappointing release. I see nothing here to justify a new premium, and won't be upgrading. Are we really so desperate for a new FS solution that we'll accept a few bugfixes as an excuse to screw us for another fee? I'll stick with 2.5. A great shame: since a really good step forward for FSim might have created a fantastic profit opportunity for those in the biz, too.

I have assigned all my HW using FSUIPC and removed the contrio within the sim..But every time I restart the P3D V3, it goes and assigns default settings..my controller is getting corrupted all the time. Is this just me?

Folks, I am running v2.4 right now...and am asking the question, is there a really tangible difference in stability and performance between these two versions? So..is going from v2.4 to v2.5 worth all the time and reloading of 3rd party? Thanks in advance... Ses

I'm running p3d v3 vanilla clean install on Win 10 x64 with the usb Ch Flight yoke and pedals + ch manager installed as well.. When i goto controls in p3d, i dont see the usual "ch flight yoke" (it does show up as ch flight yoke in control panel, devices, game controllers).. Instead I see "Control Manager ID #00 1" and "Control Manager ID #00 2".. If i goto the axes and try to set things (as they dont work out of the box), some things work, like setting ailerons, but others like pedals, toe brakes left and right dont work right, the assignments only show one axis, not two independents.. If i run calibration within ch manager things seem ok. Anyone els…

Without starting a huge 30fps is perfectly fine argument, I have a question for those of you who know more about programming than myself. As some of you know, DCS World 1.5 dropped yesterday. I was on the hoggit subreddit and there is a thread posted on average framerate improvements people are seeing. I noticed that Shift-P followed by 1 or 2 no longer lets the aircraft turn left or right. The aircraft can only be pushed straight back from the gate. This feature definitely worked in P3Dv2.5. Not a huge problem in most circumstances. Could someone else please test this? Thanks, Frans

I installed the latest FSUIPC into P3Dv3. I noticed when I tried to set my trim buttons in FSUIPC they are missing from the menu. You can only choose Elevator Trim set. Or Rudder Trim set. Not Elevator Trim Up or Elevator Trim Down. Yeah I know that FSUIPC has not yet released an updated installer! Just though I would share!

Ok, so I'm thinking may be I should ditch my Saitek X45 and get new joystick combo stick + throttle. The only thing is I'm not sure which one will work with V3 straight out the box. Can you help me with you information? Thanks

Hi, i got EZdok working but i have to manually inset the cameras per airplane (just copy over from P3Dv2 so no problem and all hotkeys works so no reassign needed :wink: ) but where is this Avatar ? Thanks Michael moe

Anyone know if the latest FSUIPC version works with V3? Apparently there are V3 messages in the log of the latest FSUIPC version. I'd check on Pete's site, but I can't even get a ping on the FSUIPC download servers at fsuipc.simflight.com (or the host at simflight.com for that matter)...I keep getting a "cannot find host" error from the DNS servers, and I've tried several. The download links from Simmarket fail the same way. Arrgh.

Hi, It is a known fact, that there are 4 times more people who share their negative opinion than positive one. So you can get a very bad impression of something, from reading comments, which isn't that bad at all. Checked in at Avsim last night to see how the P3d V3 speculation was going and - whoa! - noticed that it's out. Was a little suprised to see that, after all the months of excitement and random circular threads, there was a distinct lack of enthusiasm for the new release. Hello friends,once P3Dv3 finished its installation ok, i tried many times to run it but it closes during the startup;I only can see "loading scenery objects" and then something like "traffic control" then it`s closed. My system is as follows Intel 4790k,GTX 780 sc,and win7 64. I use to have P3D v2.5 and I uninstalled it. I have the latest nvidia driver 355.98 and run P3D as admin. Thanks for support!!!

I did some quick tests with the default Carenado plane above Seattle and New York with scenery sliders maxed out (sort of all of them) except water detail at zero (I hate the look of the waves) but with all reflections on. All shadows too. O, wait, I have traffic off, quite important, I suppose. 1. I thought there would be an option button on the scenario screen? It's not. It's the exact same screen as v2? 2. After downloading and installing Prepar3d v2, which went flawless without any hiccups or error messages, I attempted to start up Prepar3dv3. To my surprise I got the following error message: The application was unable to start (0xc0000022). Have any of you an idea what might be the cause of this and/or how to resolve this issue? All other applications including Prepar3dv2.5 run without any problem on my Windows10 x64 system with ESET Smart Security. Thanks, Hans

Just as the title says: perhaps it would be the right time (after the release of V3) to reconsider the known and painful VAS issue. Yes, LM did a great job on optimizing memory, most probably scenery related leaks and late or never-happening scenery releases from memory, but as we all know and are able to predict: a 64 bit version is not close, we got to live with the new 32 bit version, perhaps for minimum a year or two or more... So, let's be a bit objective and realize that it is not mainly and not just the dense scenery addons, texture-sizes, water and other settings are what try to steal the most available VAS from us, but the addon applications, utilities, etc…

Good morning simmers, Ok. As the title states, the irritating microstutters have returned. Every say 5 seconds, my sim stutters for a fraction of a second. As anyone else who had experienced this phenomenon knows it's extremely irritating. So, what have I changed? Not much, just added 3.0 next to 2.5. I do have tesselation off as my Radeon 7800 series just does not have the juice to make it. So the stutters happen either way. Any ideas what may have changed? Its weird that it just popped up. Could Sim-Connect be causing this issue? Thanks.
