Hey guys, I have a bit unusual question. I have P3Dv4 installed on HDD (E:), well, I decided to do so since was empty and clean...and yes I've seen recommendation about SSD (G:) but still. Anyhow, now I bought my second SSD and plugged in and tried to clone my HDD (non OS (E:)) that contains P3Dv4 to newly bought SSD (G:), Well, Samsung Magician doesn't want to do that since there is no OS on it. I was doing some research and found that I could simple move whole folder and that would be sufficient for game or everything else since it does not need any alignments etc...Am I doing right thing or there is something I can use to transfer whole LM folder from drive…

I now have three monitors. Two are identical and one is a different brand/model. I've managed to combine the two identical monitors for one wide display of 3840X1080 but, when I try to display p3d v4 across both, the view is "zoomed in" so that my pilot view of the VC is very limited. The zoom factor that p3d reports is 0.30 which is fine using just one monitor but, across two, is really unusable. I tried to add an image but... no luck.

Hello All Most of you are probably aware of the Orbx 45% discount sale, so I'm thinking this could be a good time to purchase openLC Europe. I'm currently running FTX Global and Vector and was wondering if, even with a hefty discount, I would get much out of buying openLC Europe for P3DV4.1? I mostly fly the NGX, but have recently purchased Majestic's Q400 for some short legs around the UK and the Med. Any opinions most welcome. Regards Gary

I would like to hear what my fellow captains use to get ideas or reasons to fly, i think we all been there..."i want to fly today but i dont know what and where to..." We have some good tools on the market like fscaptain for a virtual company, or fseconomy for GA, or even Air Haluer 2, although i dont have this last one(i find weird a software that is in early access for more than one year) Im all ears :) Thank you

So I'm looking to get a decent business jet for P3Dv4. I bought the Carenado E50P Phenom 100 a few months back, and while it seems like a really nice jet, I have to say, the whole Garmin G1000 system confuses the hell out of me. I'd like something a bit more....well, easier to use. I know people will say that the G1000 is very straightforward, but I'm a complete word not allowed so no, it's not straightforward for me. I'm really liking the updated Navigraph Charts and how you can have your plane from your simulator lay on top of it. Makes flying a joy. However it's subscription based and there's no way to have all the charts downloaded offline onto your machine just incase your internet is unreliable. Now with Jeppview, it's a full DVD with all the latest charts, and doesn't require the internet to use. I wish Navigraph would also offer their charts this way. I don't need to have the latest charts. I'm still using my nav cycle from 1706 without any problems whatsoever. Hi there, I have done multiple fresh installs and wiped my computer but i can't seem to solve an issue where theres a yellow tint. Its more prevalent at night and ive tried switching to multiple monitors, turned down settings like saturation until its almost black and white , made sure night mode was off and blue light settings as well and still no joy. Does anyone have experience with this issue or any suggestions that might help me? Thanks in advance

I’m using Saitek’s X-52 system; I’ve dusted it off after years of non-use. I’d like to be able to use several profiles: one for small g/a aircraft, one for PMDG, and one for the Milviz F-4. The X-52 stick has a profile selector which I think works only if you use their software to set up a profile. There’s the built in configuration that Prepar3D uses and Milviz has a configuration tool as well. Oh... and FSUIPC which I don’t have yet. So what’s the best method to achieve what I want?

Just got an email that some more Carenado planes are ready for V4. I do note, however, that the PA-34 Seneca altimeter is stuck at around 2200 ft and the VSI and the turn and bank indicator don't work.

I'm using v4.1 I'm looking for an addon that would reduce your breaking when there is snow/rain on the runways, etc? Anything like that? Also, any program that adds ground icing/de-icing to your plane etc? I know FSCaptain does but it's a fuss to use, I'm looking for a standalone product.

Hello I'm intersted in a good airline management addon. I checked the ones out there, and have narrowed it down to FSCaptain and Air Hauler 2. I tried out the demo of FSCaptain, and really liked how busy the cockpit becomes with it. The rating and promotion system is nice, but I find it a bit lacking in the management part, especially with regards to the economic mode. The developers have said they have plans for a FSCompany, but that is still after FSCaptain v2 comes out. Air Hauler 2 seems really intersting, especially with hiring of AI pilots. Few questions about AH2 : 1. Does is allow flights to be flown in time compression ? 2. Are there other sim…

Hello flight friends, Have been playing around all morning trying to import flightplans into the Aerosoft a320 mcdu. I can import plans that have .flp extension but there does not seem to be software that can create such a .flp plan! I have tried FSC and PFPX and also some flighplan websites but they all export to .pln( and many other formats.....) that can be used for the airbus extended I believe but not for the a320 newer version. Is there a program that can convert the .pln to .flp or is there another option? I now the file should be somethimg like EGGWEGPE01 and that it has to be placed in the correct folder. JF have one of their buy one get another discounted etc deals going. I am trying to figure out if the 28R Arrow III is sufficiently different to the Turbo version as regards flight performance or some other factor, to warrant having both. Or just get the Turbo Arrow III/IV package & be done with it? Anyone got both Arrow III's & have an opinion whether it's worth having both?? Thanks T45

Hello everybody, I have been waiting for REX Sky Force 3D but I recently lost my patience with it so I'm going for Active Sky for P3D v4. I am doing some research about the possibilities that I have. I have P3D Academic v4.1 with REX Texture Direct Enhanced. I definitely will buy Active Sky for P3Dv4. My question is, will I benefit from ASCA as well? As I understand these products, they both replace cloud textures. REX does have other features like airport textures, rain effects etc. ASCA on the other hand works with smooth changes of weather over time. Hi all, I have been searching around for a good AI traffic program for P3D V4. I am considering either My Traffic 6 or Ultimate Traffic Live, but I have not been lucky finding info about which program has the least impact on performance in the sim. Would anyone be kind and help me find what program is best suited for performance? (quality of the model doesn't have to be highly detailed) Any other product I should consider? Thank you in advance! Hi, So, any thoughts on what have I may have overlooked or done incorrectly?! Thought everything was fine until I saw this! Scenery: Digital Design's LOWS Salzburg W.A. Mozart P3D4 Scenery positioned at the top of the P3Dv4.1 Scenery Library. I saw something similar at ORBX's Monument Valley. Corrected by running their FTX Global Vector AEC. Perhaps I should do the same here although this is not their scenery. Does it matter? EDIT: Thought I would try a manual AEC correction but LOWS doesn't appear to be listed. Mike

Hey V4 has a problem of not keeping textures in memory especially at addon airports and with complex AI. Notice in the quick dirty video I recorded at Aerosoft Heathrow (which is the V4 "Professional" version) panning around means the game unloads things from memory. It doesn't need to do this as we're now in a 64bit environment. Does anyone know is this a V4 problem or an add on problem? It's even worse at Latin Vfr Miami. Thanks

Some of my planes look like I can see the inside (seats etc) from my outside view. Do you have any ideas? This happened since I installed Chase plane but it happens also without running chase plane. Thanks

I upgraded my rig to P3Dv4 over the weekend and installed several updated add-ons, including a couple of Carenado aircraft. After setup, I noticed the interior of the planes look bitmapped compared to my P3Dv2 installation, and after looking at some exterior shots too, it seems to be across the board. There is some of it in v2 when looking at the outside of the aircraft, but it is more pronounced in v4. I'm running a 4790k with a Nvidia branded FE 1080 Ti and expected a better experience. Hello commanders, I use the platform Windows 10 and prepar3d 64bts, and fsuipc 5 registered. I'm trying to set up the Auto Brake Panel Kit connected to a BU0836X 12-Bit Board Joystick Board using Linda, with the information of Offset Mapping for PMDG 737NGX in the tab, but I can not use any key without knowing what to do. Has the DL performance degraded in the new version? I fired up the NGX at the gate (Gate E4) at night and I'm in the ballpark of 3-8Fps. I've never seen less than 25-30fps on the same settings on 4.0. I'm running AA on 4xMSAA, 4K textures and Anisotropic at 16x. I've seen a handful of other posts saying it wasn't fixed, but it sure seems worse to me unless I have my settings messed up somehow.
