Hi all, I plan to make a fresh install of my p3d4 and I need some advise please. I will use a new SSD Drive exclusively for the simulator other than the operating system win 10 pro. Addons like Ezdok, As16, Asca, what Drive should they install? Shall I install as admin? Please Advise Geo

Is there any point to doing this? I have no intentions of getting Envtex. Was looking at PTA but it's 3 times the price of Envshade and I don't have the habit of fiddling around with the shader settings so it seems Envshade would be more suited for me.

I have got an issue at DD's New York where half of runway 4L and the taxiway to the left is covered in strange grey blotches that disappear the further I zoom out in top down. Any suggestions to fix this would be much appreciated, thanks

I was just wondering what all the Navigraph app will actually update in P3D. I see it updated my PMDG addons as well as Active Sky but, does it also update the native navaid database and airports added to P3D?

Any thoughts of the user community of which is regarded as the best virus checker to have. My main purpose of the computer is P3D, to a lesser degree the internet and MS Office.

Hi, I noticed something very strange maybe some of you know it.I can start a flight at a specific airport with good FPS and 0 stutters all good. But after a flight of for example 500nm, i will reach to that same airport and at about 500-1000ft till after landing the FPS are extremely low and they will stay low all the time while on the ground. Any ideas what may causing this ? Thank you !

Hello all, I am thinking of moving across from FSX X to Prepare 3dv4. I have a I7 processor and a Gee force GTX 970 video card 4GB memory and a 1TB SSD drive. I run V pilot as I use VATSIM and Aivlasoft EFB. I have 16GB ram in the computer. I run ORBX scenery, Global Base, Global vectors and Landclass Europe and USA and ORBX airports mainly in Australia and NZ. I also have Fly Tampa Sydney and Kai Tek. I also run Active sky 16 with Soft clouds. I have quite a lot of freeware airport scenery for use in the USA. I also have the PMDG 737 NGX, 777 and the 747v3. I´m running P3D v4.1 with Win 10, and recently I have had problem with the sim pausing every 5-10 minutes in cruise and bit more often getting close to landing (both payware and default airports) for 5-10 seconds. When it happens, I get the windows loading circle. I do not have to many admins installed at the moment, but here is the list: ASN Fsuipc (freeware version) UTlive PMDG 737NGX with FS2Crew FSlabs A320 GSX Orbx global, vector, open LC europe Various payware airports What I have done so far is to disable the anti virus and rebuild the p3d.cfg. I was looking for a good version of the historical DC-3 and found that this freeware version as been around for a while and as pretty good quality. Hi all, i bought p3d v4 3 days ago and started installing all my addons on it. When it came to scenery from developers like orbx, flytampa and uk2000, it couldn't automatically give me the option to install to prepar3d v4 like it did for v3. Is there anyway to fix this problem? Kind Regards,

I have been experiencing more of these lately especially with the TFDI 717. Usually at dusk or night and/or on longer flights. The screen turns to the transparent white with the message that P3D has stopped working and Windows will look for a solution. I use Active Sky, TrakIR with ORBX Global and OpenLC. I place the same thread on the TFDI forum but realizing it may not have anything to do with the plane I will ask you all as well. I have I7-4790 @4 GHz, 16 RAM, 64 Bit Win 7, GTX 1080Ti. I checked and found that their is a newer driver for the GeForce Card. The flights up to the point of work stoppage have been great. Good FPS and no issues. Ha…

One of my favorite airports and it still is not ready for P3D. Anyone have any news on this or maybe a list of what Aerosoft will or will not convert?

I am running 4xMSAA and notice massive flickering on the airport buildings. I am using the latest NVIDIA Drivers and running in 4k. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I know I'm a luddite by this forum's standards but what's happening is I've had 3.0 going since it was released, finding no reason to go thru the hassle to update since all works very well for me. I have no plans to go to v4.x until I do a complete new hardware build which I'm pushing out as far as possible, waiting for Ice Lake & nV Volta if they turn out to be as good as we hope. Hello, I was just approaching FlyTampa's Toronto as I had to pause the sim shortly and while unpausing it froze and didn't respond, after 20secs not responding it just shut down. No crash log or anything. Same happened while I was enroute to Frankfurt (Aerosoft) coming from San Francisco (FlightBeam). But that time I did not pause the sim or anything. This happened while flying the PMDG 747v3, both times there was no crash log or anything, just no response and then closing... Any ideas? Didn't have any Flightsim crashes since ages, quite frustrating.

I've been reinstalling sceneries after reinstalling Prepar3d 4.1 and I'm getting a dialog box at startup that says "Scenery.cfg File Error. Could not find scenery...All of Flightbeam airports in this case. I've searched around and I think I need to edit my Scenery.cfg file. I know where it is but I can not access it. Says windows can not find file when I try to open it. I've unhidden the file but still can't open it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Steve G.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the Landing & Taxi Lights on P3D. These lights illuminate perfectly the Ground when I use for example the Carenado Bonanza, or the C182 A2A, but it does not illuminate anything on the Carenado C182 or C206 (I see them turned ON on the external view, but it does not illuminate the Ground). Dynamic Lighting and "Landing Light Illuminate Ground" are Checked on P3D Menu. I really don't know what's wrong... I have uninstall and installed P3D and these Plane again but the problem is still there. I wrote to Carenado and they told me that they don't have these problem so they can't help me... I'm totally lost..…

I wonder if anyone can share their experience with TFDI's MD88. I have it installed in both FSX and P3dv4 and , surprisingly, I find that in FSX with full graphics and scenery to the right , I get steady 30 fps. In P3dv4 I cannot get past 14 fps. I don't have any addons and use default scenery in both sims. My system is an i5-2500k @4.6 and a gtx 1060. tony
