Hi I'm New to AVSIM. I having trouble getting the install_scenery. msi file & the install_content.msi files to load in prepar3dv4. When opening Prepar3dv4 it reads, content & scenery not installed. When trying to install from the download file I get the message, Source file not found. c:\users\jim\appdata\local\temp\7zooa446637\scene1.cab What am I not doing right. I downloaded the Prepar guide but its not helping me through this. Thanks for any help you could share. jgesell

Have p3dv3 with a couple grand $$$ in addons including all the Orbyx,Activesky,Rex, 40+ aircraft etc... My plan is to leave V3 on my drive and I just installed v4. Then piece by piece get it all loaded in V4 and then DELETE v3. I tried to read the TIPS/TRICKS but its as confusing and unorganized as upside down Chinese calculus on mushrooms. Question.... Is it best to just NUKE V3 and then reload each Orbyx and all the updated to V4 progs? My 1st indication my idea is bad is Orbyx is already installed in V3 so its "CENTRAL" shows I already bought and installed it. Hello to all, hope you can help me. I have installed EZDOK 1.87 and tried also the V2 one. The issue I have with both is the following: When I open EZCA on the section "virtual cockpit" and click on a view.....I get that specif view. Instead when I go on the "aircraft" section and click on ANY of those views reported...i get only the "top down" view... For instance if I click on "left wing" I get "top down" one.... Any help please...

Finally got around to stopping flying the thing long enough to do a repaint of it.

Hello I am trying to span from those two views using the button on my Joystick.... Is there a hotkey assignement we can give to span from a view to another we can choose?I have FSUIPC registered version... Using "A" of the keyboard I do not get all the views , to change views side I must tap on "S". other question....to have saved a particular zoom for instance" 0,30" when I click on a view instead of the deafult one, how can I do it? Hi, will Lionheart be updating their installers to V4? I remember V3 installers arrived very quickly but all seems very quiet at the moment. Regards, Mark

I have just moved from V3 to V4. Seen a great increase in FPS (now running around 80). Does anyone have any recommendations for either global or uk scenery for V4? On V3 I was just running REX clouds and that was it. Cheers

Hello, I just upgraded from FSX to P3D v4.1 with a dual monitor setup. In FSX I use the second monitor for PFD or FMC by just dragging it to it. In P3D v4 I'm unable to do that. It looks like my 2nd monitor is not going into fullscreen so I can only drag panels to it by undocking them first, then drag that window to 2nd monitor and dock it again to loose window borders. Is this normal for P3D? Can't it use the 2nd monitor just like in FSX ? Thanks, BiTRiP

I am at a cross roads with this hobby. I have never been so close to throwing everything against the wall and walking away from this whole charade after seven years. After two P3d reinstalls in the past six months, which incidentally takes the best part of 3-4 weeks a time, a second OS reinstall, then a complete rebuild following the death of the Asus MB, I now am faced with yet again another bloody PITA! Sorry fellas, I am sooo, depressed. Windows 10 absolutely sucks. I have never used a darn OS that continually throws up so many error messages. Hello fellow aviators, Yesterday I had to reinstall my P3DV4 due to a issue with windows update, this topic is not about that update. I've reinstalled IVAO and the MTL with it, however, when I add the following lines to the simobjects.cfg P3D crashes and startup with a ntdll.dll error: [Entry.10] Title=IVAO MTL Path=SimObjects\IVAO_MTL Required=True Active=True Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Hello Yesterday the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update was released. As we all know, the September Patchday for Windows 10 Creators Update pretty much broke the Sim under certain circumstances. Has anyone already updated to the Fall Creators Update and can share if the CTD still occurs? Thanks.

I have Orbx PNW and Pilot's 2018 FS Global NG and having elevation issues with Taxi2Gate KSEA. I've tried both the Vector and Pilots elevation tools to fix it, but no success. Also, Taxi2Gates website is down, cannot download some patch that claims to have fixed mainly lighting issues. Any suggestions? Regards,

One of the things that really annoys me and has been for many years is how the seasons in the simulator don't match reality. At least that is the case here in Sweden. I guess the same thing is true in many other locations as well around the world. I have installed FTX global with night lighting and all updates. When I go into FTX central and into night lighting, and try to configure, I am presented with a message saying 'No installed simulator was found on your system! FTX Global Night lighting configurator will now exit' However the product is working in FSX:SE. Am I missing something here? Once I am able to configure the night lighting, is it possible to make it appear at 20,000ft+ as it seems to just disappear at a certain height. Thanks

Because Control-F12 isn't an ideal keyboard shortcut for me I want to assign the GSX interface to Numpad-1. So I did, using the Couatl settings. But now nothing happens at all when I press Numpad-1...? And can anyone explain me why I can also select GSX with an option to by pass You Control...? The manual isn't helpful at all.

Hi pilots, currently I am looking for an upgrade of my current hardware for flightsimming in P3d 4.1. At the moment I am running an Mini-ITX system with GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boos, Xeon® Prozessor E3-1230V3, and 8GB RAM on one 23" monitor (1980*1440px). I do not want to have a high end system. Mostly I am flying the PMDG 737/777 with FTX Global/Vector. Additionally i am using airports like the complex of the UK2000 group. Now I want to identify the bottle neck: Should I upgrade the graphic card or the CPU? If graphic card, I have to check if the card fits in Cooler Master Elite 120 Advanced (Mini-ITX). Hi i was wondering how the Taxi 2 gate sceneries were performing in P3D4. I have read a few sketchy comments about them and have also read concerns about support and fixes for problems. Can someone comment about this as i have only today to decide before the discount at simmarket finishes. Thanks

Upon approach to LOWI, the airport doesn't load up 100 percent; only after touchdown. I've been researching this issue with P3DV4, so I guess there is nothing we can do about this?

OK, an airport near me has ILS on one runway but the stock airport doesn't have it. I want to add that ILS to that runway but, I haven't been able to figure out how to get that done. I thought I could just use ADE to load up the stock airport, make changes, then put the compiled BGL into the sceneryt but, that didn't work very well since I guess I don't know enough to get everything generated. Any help?

Hi, after a complete new installation of my rig, I am struggling with the HAT of Saitek Cessna Yoke. I am running P3Dv4.1. In VC, all axis of the yoke are working except the HAT. If I switch in VC to slew mode, I can see an extremely slow movement on the monitor. If I switch to outside view (F11), HAT is working normally. New installation of P3D and Saitek drivers did not help. Any idea what may help ? Thank you Bruno

What are your opinions on Orbx NZ North and South and their new airport Whangarei? How is it on performance? And is Whangarei as good as it looks on screenshots? I'm considering to go all out and purchased both regions and the airport...
