I'm eyeing this product... read a bit about how it takes precedence over other scenery? I have Orbx LC ad NA products installed, as well as FreeMesh. Is MegaScenery a pretty good add on, or are there other scenery products for Virginia I might take a look at that would be competitive with MS? The product screenshots from their website look pretty mediocre to me.

I thought, for the moment though, that I am good researching....LOL...but unable to find where to get MyTraffic 6 for v4. Maybe my Google is "broken" I found one on sim-market but it says available up to 2.5 version. Am I missing something...? Just read on the news page that Historic Jetliners Group is now offering the B300, B400 and B500! But I could not find anywhere it mentions what platform these can be run on. Of hand, does anyone know if these will fly in P3Dv4? Clutch

Hey guys, I built a home cockpit designed to be as versatile as possible. I tend to find myself most interested when I am learning different planes. I only really started flight simming back in March but I have got to know the PMDG737, A2A C182, and PMDG747. I am excited about the maddog md80 plus the Aerosoft CRJ and Majestic DQ400 are on my short list. I have loads of buttons and switches for my simulator which is great but the FMC/CDU/FMS (sorry I don't know the correct terminology for each plane) seems like it's going to be a problem when transitioning from the none PMDG planes. Hi! Do not take into account that LOWI may be too small for the PMDG B744. When I am at final at ORBX LOWI LOCR26, I get alarm from the GPWS. My B744 licence is in landing configuration.

Could you please tell me, which one is better for P3D v4 - FS Global 2010 or FreeMeshX? What are the pros and cons for both meshes?

Seasons greetings to the forum. Been a while since I posted here but always lurking. Having been a loyal FSX merchant since release and patiently waiting for P3D in 64 bit, I am now transitioning to V4.1 and determined, after years of FSX grief and headaches, to get things right from the start so I have a clean & stable sim platform. All my flying is done around Wales and SW England. Not to keen on the Orbx stuff for this area so I want to stay with Horizon VFR Photo Scenery GenX Version 3 and UK2000 Airports, I believe both work well in V4.1. I like the idea of installing add on scenery and Aircraft in a folder outside the sim so they are not disturbed in future…

Good day folks! :) I just moved to P3DV4.1, from FSX. I installed P3DV4 on my D drive(Not C: drive where my FSX is), and later I moved it to my own map D:/P3DV4 inside the D drive. But I get some problems with ORBX who is downloading content to my D:/ not D:/P3DV4. So the big question; is there a way to uninstall P3DV4 so I can change path, and not loose my addons? I have not the greatest donwload speed, so it would appreciate if there is a method, without having to download everything again. Takes 1 full day haha.

I am currently trying to figure out the FMC flightplan input process in the Majestic Dash 8Q-400, and I note that some of the UK airport runways are not up to date. For example, the runway designations for EGMC Southend are 06/24, when they should actually be 05/23. Is there an update that I can install to correct this? As for using the FMC to input a flightplan, I thought that it was not working properly at first, but then I realised that the reason why it was not accepting my first airport ICAO code (EGMH Manston) is because that airport is now closed, and it is probably not in the database. As per the title, the JF VC-10 is now on sale, so for those of you who wanted the classic British quad T-Tailer for FSX and P3D, the wait is over. Well, sort of, this is the Type 1101 BOAC variant, but two expansion packs are also on the way apparently, one of which 'pros' it up a bit with more systems simulation to make it a 'study sim' although to be fair, quite a lot of stuff is simulated on this initial release; another expansion will add the Super variant and RAF Tanker and transport versions. Hello i am newby in this forum and this is my first post i have question there is avatar function on prepar3d now i want to know can i add avatar or my own 3d person model to cockpit and control it dynamically? example when i press left button on keyboard my model turns head to the left or if i click right my model turns right his head can i realize this ? if yes how ? can you teach me how can i add 3d models to existing plane cockpits and how can make this model dynamically ? is this possible ? Hello Folks, So recently I have had alot of people message me about an issue with P3D V3 throwing an error "error creating child window" and or crashing due to a recent Windows 10 update. I did a bit of investigating and saw that the issue was caused basically due to some invalid string and return data within the included .NET 4.7 update. After reaching out to a friend whom is an engineer with MS and him looking into it, I was informed that the November 14th patch would resolve the issue, but it didnt of course.. Hi all, My flying I do above Europe. I own FTX HD Trees. Just did a flight at 2500-3500 ft over the Netherlands and I have to say that I find the default trees very good looking from this altitude. Anyone else tried them and how do you think they stand against the default trees ? Thanks, Gerard

Just an observation: No matter what Affinity Mask you set in [JOBSCHEDULER] Process Lasso will override it with its own current Profile, so you either don't use one in Prepar3D.cfg or make sure to match it with Process Lasso's profile. It was not obvious to me, so I checked (following Bert Pieke advice) in task manager and thought I could share. Dirk.

Hi, I was having problems with performance, getting about 15 fps less than what I normally should. I am trying to have P3D build a new cfg, but every time I go and delete the cfg, my setting are not reset and a new, fresh, cfg is not built. Does anyone know what might be causing my setting and CFG to be "stuck:"?

I am using the add-on.xml procedure to install my addons outside of P3D v4.1's root directory. I decided to test with the Alabeo Cessna 207. My impression, so far, is that the juice isn't worth the squeeze...especially with my GTX970. I gave it a try at the new Miami and my two thoughts were: Well, I see a little difference...airplanes naturally lit up by the lights at the stands. Bad performance (again, GTX970). My frames went from mid 20s to 6. I think that dynamic lighting is sorely needed in the sim but not at the cost of ruining performance which, it seems, dynamic ramp lights do. What do you guys think?

Hello guys, maybe some of you remember I criticized v4 hard when it came out. I even removed it from my hard drive due to very bad performance. Now, after v4 Hotfix was out, I gave it another try with the same result. Then I found something about AffinityMask setting on Youtube. The guy was mention that AffinityMask gives only a HUGE advantage if you just dedicate ALL cores for rendering tasks. Without any blurred textures/terrain as usual when using AffinityMask... I have been experimenting with wx add-ons this week. I would like to get some advice on what the experience has been with the - weather rate of change slider in sim Question: I wonder if you the weather injection working better when the slider is off or on.....set in the sim? Hi everyone, just wanted to know about your experiences with v3 and v4. I'm intending to buy a new system with the following specs: i5-2500k will overclock it to atleast 4.0 Ghz R9 270 or 270x 2GB 8GB ram Which sim will perform better? currently i'm running fsx on my laptop which is an i7 with dedicated graphics card and easily sit at 25-30 fps. what performance should i expect from each sim?

in p3d v4, After setting maximum Lod radius in the sim I still get LOD_RADIUS=6.500000 in the p3d cfg file. is that ok? is that still the maximum setting? I would be very grateful for a response before I try a reinstall. thanks
