I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth......but, I will. I like the FREE Iceland Demo better than Aerosofts version. However, the same problem exist with each new addition of 3D. The runway at BIAR-Akureryi disappears. When you start your roll on 19 it’s there but suddenly disappears. 3/4 of the runway is gone. My Twin Otter is a STOL but that isn’t realistic? Since it is the main airport for Norlandair it takes the fun out of it and eventually I go back to Aerosoft. I doubt that it’s a LM problem. It’s fine with no addon at BIAR. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone solve a similar problem with another airport?

Hi everyone! My sim keeps crashing after 7-9 hours, I guess because I run out of memory? After weeks of flying the PMDG 777 I wasn't able to do a single flight over 6 hours... I spent hours researching about OOM and VAS and I changed my settings, monitor VAS in flights and try to prevent it. But without success. What is REALLY affective in trying to prevent it from happening? I don't use anything apart from default scenery as far as textures go, only the airports I fly between are addons, and only these two are activated when I fly... Thanks for any help :) Wahoom

A very glossed over scenery but Aerosoft just released their rendition of Hamburg-Finkenwerder, EDHI. Quite interesting as it is a factory airport for Airbus and is where the deliveries of A320 and A380 aircraft take place. The cost is €11.90 with 100% of the net profit being donated to help children in hospice care. Looks pretty good as well! I absolutely miss FSDiscover that was so valuable to me in FSX. Who can I write to to BEG THE DEVELOPER to make it available to Prepar3dv4? I am loving P3d so much. No more OOM'S and beautiful scenery all the way to the horizon. No blurries, and no problems. But I really enjoyed seeing the names of the airports that FSDiscover provided. I would gladly pay for a whole new program of FSDiscover if it were available. Do any of you know an email of someone who might be able to give me some optimism on the future development of this great program? Stan

Well, the problem child known as Johannesburg, FAOR, by Aerosoft seems to have been put to rest. Mathijs explained how they failed to get the proper imagery for the site as airport officials were not very helpful and how they only have a few images from the internet to work with, not nearly enough to finish it to their standard. It is worth mentioning that it hasn’t been cancelled indefinitely, just put on hold until they can get their hands on proper imagery from the site. It’s a sad day for the people hoping it would be finished, and it did look great from their screenshots, but here’s to hoping that one day it’ll be back and better than ever! Hi all, Some of you may have experienced the issue where Windows Game Mode causes issues with P3D and especially ChasePlane. After the recent Fall Creators Update, they removed the on/off switch and set it to be automatically on during gameplay. Has anyone found a working version of PANC for p3d v4? I’ve looked around with no such luck.

Especially for study level planes such as PMDG 737, 777, 747... FSLabs A320, etc... Since these planes are meant to be flied with a partner and not alone. It would make the experience much better. I really hope PMDG or FSLabs can add this feature.

Hi, has anybody got FS Global 2010 mesh installed into p3dv3.4 without having fsx installed? I had a complete computer melt down and are in the middle of a complete reinstall of p3d, I been trying for 2 days now with the same result, it won't work, I used to have it and it worked great but I did have fsx installed but not anymore, I've tried using the p3d installer from Pilots but instructions are as clear as mud, it seems to want fsx installed first so is it possible or not? Hi all, It's that time of year again and I'm in the market for a quality biz jet for P3D v3.4. Since purchase 1 year ago today I have flown my PMDG NG for almost 250 hours (yes I'm healthy 😏, play competitive hockey) and have simulated every faluire and situation available. But this year, after getting totally addicted to P1D on YouTube, I want in on some virtual corporate flying. Basically, I'm looking for something with a well modeled flight model and in depth systems. As of right now I'm trying to decide between the Flight1 Citation 510 and the Xtreme Prototypes Learjet 25D. Any ideas on how well the FDE of these jets are modeled? I've also heard nothing but goo…

Hello My ground textures keep cycling between the normal textures and a black texture. I'm not sure whether they are cycling between day and night textures, or just simply disappearing, I initally thought that this was due to ActiveSky, but this happens with all aircraft and default scenery. Normal ground textures "Black" ground textures As far I can see, this does not effect autogen, which remains in place. Any ideas on how to solve this issue ? Cheers 9W

Has anyone been able to successfully assign P3D functions (such as mouse-look [space], flaps [F6 F7] and zoom/increment [ - + ] etc) to mouse buttons, particularly buttons 4, 5 or above? It is easy to assign key presses to mouse buttons using, say, the Logitech mouse driver or with the default Windows mouse driver if using utilities like XMouseButtonControl. I can confirm that all such custom mouse keys mappings are working by pressing the mouse buttons in other programs (such as Word, Chrome etc) and observing characters being "typed". Need to give a shout out to the great customer service I received from PCAviator when updating all my old Carenado GA aircraft to V4. Thanks also to Carenado for providing the updates of course, but I felt the quick response and no hassle method from PCAviator was worth a shout out from a grateful customer. Placed an email to them last night with the info from my old (some 5 years old) planes that I could no longer fly. Does anyone know how to program a L:VAR to a keyboard assignment and/or a joystick button in P3D v4.1 without needing to use FSUIPC or SPAD.neXt? Thanks in advance.

I recently installed KBUF into 4.1 from Fly Tampa. Everything looks ok but the runways and taxiways look like they are the default P3d textures and the runways to not have the numbers. Basically it looks like the terminals installed correctly and some of the surrounding area, but the runways and taxiways are default (minus the runways missing the numbering). Has anyone else experienced this? I have not had any other issues with FlyTampa stuff in 4.1. Thanks

Hello Can someone explain what the various options in the Image and Texture Quality tab do in terms of CPU and GPU load ? I have looked around, and understand to an extent what the end result will be, but the general consesus is each software will have varied results on how the anti aliasing effects CPU/GPU load. Normally, P3D uses core 2 at 100%, with other cores under load during texture loading once in a while, and GPU rarely sees more than 20% use. I mainly want to try using DL with the NGX withour losing out on smoothness. Current settings are : FXAA : Off, AA: None, Texture Filtering : Anisotropic 4x, Texture Resolution : Medium 1024x102 My…

Hi, I have been trying to find a solution to create the weather by importing weather file directly to P3D. I would like to avoid using any real weather engine and to run any other application while running P3D. At first place, I am not sure if weather can be set in P3D by importing weather file. The second, I am not sure if I can convert file made by some weather application to be readable by P3D? Thanks.

Hi Folks, Now that I'm very happy to have my REX Wx Radar back in operation - I'd like to slap it some of my Carenado aircraft in place of the awful Avadyne... I've read through the manual and I couldn't find a reference for manual installs... When manually installing the gauge into a vacant VC slot - what's the gauge name I'm supposed to use and how do I specify the "no bezel" option ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott

When I change view from vc to outside in MCDash8 the sound goes almost silent until I mouse click. This is in p3dv4.1 and using Chaseplane. Thanks Paul
