I love the overall night lighting in openLC NA. But is there a way we can customize it further, such as the size of the orbs, bloom, intensity, and color? It needs to be a bit more orage. I remember there use to be a FTX tool just for customizing the lights, however with the new FTX Central 2, this is gone. Has anyone figured out how to do it?

Hello! I cannot see any speedtrees no more. In the default flight, near Eglin, there must be some speedtrees, but i don't see them no more. I have "Enable dynamic autogen vegetation" checked. I have ORBX HD trees installed, but standing from their word: "FTX Global Trees HD does not alter SpeedTree models or textures. However, it is possible to have FTX Global Trees HD installed and then use the "Dynamic 3D Autogen Vegetation" checkbox in the P3D control menu to switch between the two autogen tree systems as desired." I should still be able to see them, where scenery got them. What is wrong? Maybe @Rob Ainscough could help me. Thanks!

Dear all, I have just installed my first Prepar3d (v4.1), but I can´t use it: Whenever I try to access an inflight menu, it just opens a mirror image of the entire screen: Key settings are back to default. Nothing installed except Orbx (how could I, without these menus?). Does anybody have an idea here?

Hello All, when I run GSX in a scenery with Animated Jetways I get this message that SODE is unavailable, jetways will not animate. Please anyone with a solution? George

Besides Simbrief, what is the BEST flight planning software that gives out accurate FPs and TO information for PDMG aircraft etc.? I have EFASS NG and currently using Simbrief but have found many shortcomings in both products... Kind regards,

Anyone knows if there's a replacement sound package for the de-icers in GSX so you don't need to hear that robotic voice? I've found a great package for the pushback part of GSX but unfortunately it doesn't include the dialogue when asking for de-ice prior to pushback.

I have noticed that each time I switch aircraft I have to go to the control settings menu and reset the buttons that I plan to use with that aircraft. I do not have to change them, just reinitialize them. Dale

Anybody know which of EZCA, OPUS, ChaseCam etc has the ability to use a joystick axis for movement. eg assign up and down axis to move forward/backwards but if holding down button 1 then it will zoom in/out, hold down button 2 will look up/down etc I need a multi functional axis/button combo setup yet I don't know which one, if any, will do that. thanks

I have just landed at EGPA Kirkwall (Scotflight) in the PMDG 737-600 NGX, and as soon as I touched down, I noticed a slight "pull" to the right. When I turned the aircraft around on the runway, this "pull" to the right remained. This is the first time that I have ever noted anything like this with the 737, but I remember having a similar problem in the Quality Wings Avro RJ70 when I landed on runway 35 at EICK Cork (EireSim Cork Ultimate). In that case, the "pull" was to the left. Has anyone else noticed anything like this? What is likely to be the cause of the problem? Greetings, fellow simmers My dilemma is that I have a 2015 iMac, running Parallels Desktop for any software I have that only runs on Windows. The aircraft and sim package creators I really wish to sim with are 32-bit, but my hardware is 64-bit. Clearly I’m not tech-savvy and I’m very new to the flight-simming world. Would really appreciate advice on how to avoid having to buy a new computer - I’ve looked at X-Plane, however the aircraft I really want (best sims, IMHO) presently come requiring 32-bit Direct-X. Hi Folks! Hope you all had a great Christmas! A few months back I purchased a GTX1070 to replace by old GTX960 2GB MSI model. My Overall performance was decreased slightly (and unexpectedly) and stutters become very evident. For Christmas I also got new Ram. 16GB of 2400mhz and installed it into my computer. This went well and I reinstalled windows and P3D to find about a 40% reduction in performance in almost all situations. For example before my new RAM I roughly got 45-50fps at UK2000 EGAA (In the AS A320) which isn't all that FPS Intensive and stutter inducing. Now I'm struggling to scrape 30fps and it's a really stuttery 30fps. I'm just wondering is there anythi…

Hi! I was forced to reset my PC. Now, after installing all add on, I get an error when I finish the P3Dv4. See added file.

These works for me as well... just be aware the additional autogen categories are added by me. I kept very very poor multiple backups of autogen definitions. So I'm adding them all in unedited as a sort of stress test to see how P3D4 handles them. At some point I will convert all the .spd to .xml and edit duplicate entries out... so, if you use these as a base for yourself take my autogen categories out. NOTE: Because they were standalone scenery.cfg entries I've added the ES-3D and ES-SFX scenery folders in a separate add-on.xml so they can be active by themselves and ES sceneries can then be individually turned on or off via the addons menu without compromisin…

When you set your flight plan up in FSX SE the recommended cruising altitude is given. In PREPARED v4 it's zero in the cruising altitude box. How or where do we find the recommended cruising altitude in PREPARED v4? Setting up an altitude in that box is not easy, it's rather sensitive.

4770K @ 4.2Ghz with GTX 1080 and 32GB Ram. (P3D V4) Guys, I replaced my 24" monitor with a 43" 4K TV. After the change, my FPS dropped from 50 to about 20. I then changed my GTX970 to a GTX1080 thinking this was the issue. FPS increased slightly (Now at about 25fps). This is ok and I can live with it, but has anyone else got any ideas? Is it my processor that is not coping with the bigger screen or is there a setting I can change? I have dialed back my sliders and not much changed. Yes, I get brilliant imagery, but at a cost. What I never see in P3D and what I see frequently in the real world at sunrise/sunset is really nice coloration effects on clouds. I'm using REX Texture Direct and Essentials, and ActiveSkyNext. Here's a dramatic example from the local sky that I took the other day. Are there any weather or texture packages that can do this yet?

As ORBX still has hefty discounts, I'm consider buying some of their NA regions, however I'm wondering what FPS impact would be especially in such scenery/traffic dense areas as KSEA/KSFO/KLAX/KSAN. With FTX Global/Vector, OpenLC USA, REX, ASA2016, custom-made 100% AI, I have pretty much stable 25FPS from the NGX VC while approaching either KSFO 28L/R or KLAX 24/25'th with ~100 AI in a vicinity. What would happen if I add either NoCal or SoCal on a top of these? Or should IFR heavy-metals flyers stay away from the regions, leaving them for VFR folks? Testimonies are welcome. Thanks Dmitriu

So far, I have been using the stock airports in P3D. I am mastering the Airbus and would appreciate any suggestions for some super duper payware places to fly in and out of.

First let me say that I do realize that my question should be posted in LM P3D Forum - but I cannot get registered as every time I indicate what the middle five characters are it tells me I am wrong and now I have exceeded my limit - very frustrating, don't know why it is made so difficult. Is there some magic to this? No matter which series of questions they display it always seems to be wrong!!!

Hi all- I'm starting to use UTL pretty regularly now and while most models are fine, for me anyway, some are lacking. I just landed at KSFO and saw a United connection jet (2 engines in the rear) that was pretty bad. Is it possible to selectively replace these with something like and kind? If so, how is this done?
