I am thinking of buying an Aerosoft Twin Otter (aka twotter) for P3Dv2.5. I need to know whether the model comes with a version (or two) using FAA renums (registration numbers). Any other comments you might want to include about the model will be appreciated also. Thanks

Hello, I have searched the forums and tried numerous settings and still cant fine the sweet spot regarding stutters at my payware airports. I have all flightbeam and most FSDT airports. I have a 4K Samsung TV that is capable of 60 hz and 30 hz. I have tried with vsync on and off with triple buffing on. I have tried locking frame rates and unlimited. I mostly use KSFO flightbeam for testing. GPU and CPU usage around 50-60% even when stuttering. I have ORBX norcal and socal installed. I normally test with the PMDG NGX and only have issues on take off and landing with stutters. I have a I7 6700k at 4.2 ghz and a dedicated 1 TB ssd for p3dv4. My Gpu is a 980ti SC and I,m usi…

I have a virginal installation of P3D v4.1 and I can't bring myself to add all of my sceneries and add-ons for fear of breaking a sensational sim. Does anyone else harbour that fear? I should mention I have installed 3 PMDG aircraft with equally great results. I have a shipload of sceneries, all the ORBX LC's and heaps more utilities and add-ons. I'm twiggered and I'm fwightened. Hey guys, after installing every from the skretch I came up with a test flight. Started p3dv4, changed location to eddv (Hannover Germany) and changed season to summer. Started sim and following picture I made immediantly Installed: REX Direct Enhanced + AS+ASCA. PTA (Matts preset), chaseplane, preciptFX, Orbx Global, LC EU, Vector, GEN, GES, England, Australia, trees. Maybe conflicted with the actual weather settings via AS, cause of winter conditions? p3d is set to summer. Dont know how to solve the texture mixes on the picture. Anyone knows? Best greetings

Hello, So after a long time i got the motivation to come back into Flight Simming. I am currently still using p3d v3. But am getting really bad fps on the aerosoft airbus (all 4). Any fps tweaks? I tried the WX trick didn't work and the HTML trick was set to 0 already. Please help :)

Does anyone know if Fly Tampa have updated there installers for p3dv4.

My understanding was that if I used Navigraph and installed current AIRAC cycles I would have available (all) current approaches; I was wandering around Maryland earlier and noticed that at KESN There is only the ILS and the NDB (w/GPS overlay). There should be several RNAV approaches, as well? I installed AIRAC cycle 1713 to my my Milviz C-310R and DHC-2 GNS530/430 units prior. P3D v 4.1 has 1713 installed as well.

Hi all. I've got an annoying problem with my ORBX vector, the Thames river in London is an absolute mess with what appers to be mountains and huge holes in the water and water at the docks missing altogether. I've tried disabling all addons apart from ORBX Base pack and vector and it's still a mess, reinstals even a Scenery.cfg file they sent me and nothing works, has anybody else seen this issue and knows a solution? so far the only thing that works for sure is turning off vector which isn't really an option. I'm trying to add pictures but i cant find the attachments option. :(

Hey all - happy holidays. I posted something similar awhile back but couldn't find the post. So I'm running MT6 in P3d v4.1 but noticed it seems, there is ALOT of traffic at the gates at nearly all airports, but not alot in the skies. I know some of the models aren't compatible and have ran through the model updater to correct the fields missing in the individual AI configs preventing them from moving. Even still, at 20% airliner sliders it seems hardly any AC are moving about even at prime times for JFK and other airports. Is it just me or is this just normal? When I ran UT2 in p3d v3 traffic seemed to flow more natural where at prime time you could be stuck in lin…

Hi all Just completed an update to 4.1 of the P3d Client and all seems well and am just about to do the same for the Content. Before proceeding, I happened to notice that the size of the Content Installer is around 5MB, but the size of the v4 Content installation (in Windows Programs and Features) is nearly 15GB! Before proceeding just wanted a bit of confirmation that I shouldn't be worried by this. Luke

Hi, It's probably simple but driving me crazy. When I select a time different than system time P3D keeps resetting back to the current time. For example it's night in real time but I want to fly a day flight. The system time for default flights is checked off. Same for fsuipc. But every time I try to set it to day, it goes back to night. I'm also using AivlaSoft, ActiveSky, MCE, ChasePlane and Vpilot. I set sysclock=1, same issue. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Doug

Is there any such tool that will show everything that you have installed and that would be running when you start P3d? I am looking to clean up my sim and thought there could be a tool that can assist in doing this. I'd be looking for not only scenery and planes, but really anything that I have running within the sim that could be causing conflicts or just duplicating with other similar programs or applications. From there, I'd like to remove what I don't want in the sim anymore. This would be in 4.1. Is there such a beast? If not, what do you all recommend for doing some house cleanup?

Hello forum! I have read the manual for the GSX 3D editor, but, i don't know how to save my changes. My GSX version is v1.9.10 so it is not compatible with the PMDG 747. So i have to use the 3D editor. In the manual, it says to use the Numbpad for use. But i have Chaseplane, so the numbpad does nothing. So I have to use my joystick to move the aircraft in place. But when I press "Y" to exit slew mode, the changes i've made aren't there anymore. For example, I changed the Cargo Door 1 position, but when I press "Y", I go back into the editor, and Cargo door 1 was still in the original place it was before I made changes. When I u…

I'm new to p3dv4....... where there is water, it is like the water is placed right over houses, roads etc. I have orbx NA, base and vectors installed. Even if I disable everything orbx, the problem is still the same. Also, for example, a golf course will only partially appear right in the middle of houses. It's almost like there are 2 different sets of textures being displayed. I will upload a image of the water problem. In ftx central, it says everything is updated. I realize that REX SkyForce is imminent and wonder what most require as their top 3 Wx engine / Package requirements. Mine are: 1) The engine is unobtrusive. 2) The cloud renderings are effective. 3) Engine is performant. Cheers bs

Installed Fly Tampa EHAM into P3D v4.1 today, and while scenery appears to be working, I have magical flying busses and GSE “floating” by about 10 feet in the air. Any ideas on how to fix or what I might have done wrong? I followed the instructions from the Fly Tampa developers, no xml install or anything like that. Thanks for any pointers!

Just installed fsAerodata because I noticed a lot of the approaches I did with the latest AIRAC installed were a bit off and to the side. I was hopingfsAerodata would fix that. Now I haven't been able to test that yet because it seems fsAerodata also changes some radio frequencies. I was unable to contact tower with ProATC and after a while I figured out that ProATC said, with audio, that I had to contact 119.4 but it showed in text that I had to contact 119.1. Is it correct that fsAerodata also changes radio frequencies? I thought it only changed VOR etc. freqs. And does anyone here also use fsAerodata and ProATC and if so: what did you do to make them work together…

Hey! I use P3D v4 in combination with AS for P3D, ASCA and ORBX ARPT. I have never seen the RWY get wet of the rain or snowy when it snow. Do I miss something or is it how the sim works?

I've had great success raising my FPS and eliminating blurries by moving to full 1920x1080P resolution, but now I can't see the top line of text with the speed etc. (and I "cheat" using that while flying). Is there a way to move both lines of text DOWN just one line in a .cfg file? Thanks, Steve

Trying to reinstall P3D v4 using LM's instructions. The uninstall was performed according to LM's instructions, also. After reinstall and activation - I get the following: "Prepar3D CANNOT run without a valid SCENERY.CFG, Please uninstall and reinstall Prepar3D. Click ABORT to Exit Prepar3D" So I uninstalled and reinstalled and got the same message. How do I get a valid scenery.cfg file? I looked and I have one and it has data in the file (looking at file using Notepad). Franklin Duncan
