Can someone explain the difference between PTA and REX, and if they are both "needed" in P3Dv4? Thank you

Hello! I need some help here. I installed FSNordic's EFRO Rovaniemi into P3D v3.4, but it isn't working correctly. When I load into the scenery, some buildings around the airport are black and the jetways are not displaying. Hi, I usually fly wih FSX-SE. But ı changed my simulator to P3D V4 but view is too blurred after fsx as seen from screenshot below. Does any of you know how to fix this from setting if possible?

After hours of installs I have a couple of questions concerning scenery library. Is it necessary to deactivate add-on airports as in FSX to avoid oom? Kind of problematic since you have to start the sim to get to the scenery library. What app do you use to get to the scenery library? I have the freeware scenery config Editor v1.1.9 but it only seems to be for FSX. I also bought simstarter a couple months ago but uninstalled it as it change things I didn't want it to. Seem to take control of things I didn't want it to. I didn't think the documentation was all that great for the technically unsophisticated. Like me. Always appreciate advice.

I'm working through a problem with P3Dv4. All my add-ons, in my Document folder are working, I used Lorby-SI add-on organiser for P3Dv4. But my problem is that no entries appear in my add-ons.cfg folder in the ProgramData folder, it is blank. I have extensive scenery RTMM, ORBX, UTLive, and many other add-ons. I need entries in the cfg, for MCE to operate correctly. In saying that, it works fine if I do manual changes in MCE. Ben from MCE has been more than helpful, but no matter what I do, edit, copy and paste into the cfg, each time I start P3D, the cfg reverts back to blank. I have searched here on AVSIM and P3D forum but I've not found anyone …

Hi, I installed the latest version (7.41) for Prepar3D v4 for evaluation (that was the first time installation) and the Recent Comms panel was not working. It showed up, but it was just always blank (white). I have reinstalled the VoxAtc to if it helps and now my demo says that it's expired (I was using it just 2 days). Emailed support, but no reply so far. Now I'm wondering does anybody have this Recent Comm panel working? I'm now thinking maybe it's not functional at all and nobody just cares about it... But for me it's going to be a deal breaker as it won't be possible to verify clearance instructions, frequencies, etc... How do you guys deal w…

Good Morning, Hope all is well with everyone!. I have a slight problem with rex when installing textures, every time i install textures i get a error message saying access to path is denied, i have p3d installed on a separate drive on a SSD and rex installed in my C drive. Is there a fix to this problem?. Many thanks. I have P3D v4.1.

I had the previous version in P3Dv3 and really like it. Although Aerosoft state that it is for v4, I'm concerned about buying it again. There's a very long thread on their forum where people have obviously had to jump through hoops to get it working 'correctly' in v4. Anyone here have experience of this addon in v4?

I hope someone can help me I have a continuous issue with PMDG only. I have done a clean install of prepar3d V4.1 again and loaded my add-ons without PMDG installation used it for three days no issues at all. Once I loaded the PMDG 747 and I am using the fly Tampa at Dubai I placed the plane in cold and dark and started the procedures all good. Once I changed the view to external view before even starting ground services the sim shuts down immediately no error messages or warnings. I tried again loaded everything and once I move the view to outside it shuts down. After that I loaded a Cessna and had a 3 hours of flying with no issues at all changing views from intern…

I have in the past seen a list of P3d available add ons, but those were v1-v3 related. Is there a list somewhere of which addons, particularily scenery add ons that are P3D v4 upgrades *written specifically for 64bit enviornment)? thank you

How come P3Dv4 starts up every time I boot up the computer. As soon as I turn on the computer, P3DV4 just boots up. I only use the computer for P3D, but is this a sign of a problem???

Hello, I'm looking to buy a plane for short hops (example:Brussels-Madrid) and I am into private bussines jets. I was looking at the Carenado - E50P Phenom 100 and the Carenado - EMB505 Phenom 300. Has flight one ever get this plane updated for P3D V4 ?

Please, I could really need some help with a small, but annoying problem. I see a misplaced windsock at YBUD (ORBX) in the middle of the taxi way. It is to 99% NOT an ORBX problem, that's why I am asking here for help. I have tried a lot and I am at the end with my wisdom ... Hi all, I'm just trying to establish if this is an issue my end or just normal for P3D. When i'm flying low around elevated terrain ( mountains, hills etc.. ) I can see that part of the scenery kinda move. It looks like it suddenly re-loads or adjusts itself. Popping scenery if what i've been calling it haha, I hope you know what i mean as its a little hard to explain. I can take a video and youtube it if need be. I do have ORBX Global, Open LC Europe and America installed. I'm running at i7700k and GTX 1080ti. Thank you :)

Does anyone know of a door controller guage that will work with v4? I use one on all of my v2/3 aircraft as I have never had much luck with Shift+E+1, 2 , 3 etc. (It works at first, and then after a while no matter what number you use, it only opens and closes the main door!) The door controller gets around this. I tried my v3 one, but it doesn't show up. 32 bit, I guess. Thanks, Russ

Hello, So i run into some problems and want to try this fix: "Deleting generated files", following the tutorial by Elaine Dixon. One of the results is that all addon scenery's will be "temporarily disabled". Sure these addon's are not deleted, but how to enable them again? Thank for helping me

All year I gritted my teeth in stubborn determination to avoid following the crowd to P3DV4 after investing so much in FSX until I could fool myself no more. I had to get it and it is stunning to fly a PMDG QOTSII into FSDT KMEM with smooth frames, taxi to parking and shutting down with no OOM. Lighting is beautiful and scenery stunning with ORBYX Global. I repurchased the NGX and QOTSII and guess I'm going to have to grit and repurchase the T7. It's worth it to me but I will have to allow the wife to counter spend on something else for the house. Oh well. I heard someone say once, "If you don't spend it your heirs will".

Everyone likes a challenge when flying out in our virtual world so for that reason, I thought about getting the FS Labs 320 upon release of its new list of fixes (list found on fselite.net, for one). But before selling my house and kids in order to purchase this package, can some of you tell me if, in YOUR opinion, it addresses pretty much all that was wrong with this package to begin with or are there still some things you feel are still missing?
