Hi All, I recently had problems with my FSX and had to repair it, since then every time I want to fly Maddog I have to register it again, I go to the Manager and Setup facility and I get the register page which states that the A/C is not registered?? so I register and set up what I want but the next time I go to use it I'm told it's not registered again!! Any ideas? mog

I installed version 4.1 of P3D4 and everything went fine and all was working as it should be (Orbx, PMDG, FsLabs A320X, etc.). Yet suddenly (cannot precise what trigged this ...) I start facing a strange problem!! I start P2D4 OK with default airplane and location. All is working. Now if I change the location to any place in Europe, my joystick freezes and I cannot access to the various items at the add-ons menu in P3D4 (such as FSUIPC, GSX, etc.)!! What is really confusing is that if I change from the default scenario to any other airport outside Europe all is OK (America, Asia, Australia...): It is just airports in Europe that give this problem. Hi. I've got errors with the panel sounds on both my Lionheart Epic Victory and CeraSim Bell 222. Anybody have an idea as to how this can be fixed? I've installed both of these outside of the main P3D folder and made a manual xml file. Even when deleting this and moving the files inside the main P3D folder I get the same error messages. Both addons are P3Dv4 compatible.

After all the ‘hype’ in the early days, of how we should all be “correctly” installing our addons into P3Dv4, by using the XML method, I see that by far the majority of addon developers (almost all in fact) appear to be paying it no attention whatsoever lol. There was also a lengthy article from Robert at PMDG, stating how important it was to install addons using this method, YET I see none of the PMDG range of addons actually install this way (correct me if I’m wrong). OK...so I got all the ReShade and PTA, URP and P3D issues worked out with the help of the wonderful AVSIM forums. Been playing around with peoples presets, and I like all of them...to varying degrees...but having trouble settling in on one. So, take a look at the pics, and lmk what you like best! The presets are from either AviationLads (http://www.aviationlads.com/my-settings/), Pilot Pete (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10nPl-ydnBc), or the FlightBeam Visual Pack (http://flightbeam.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2647). In all of the presets I have my settings the same in P3D and am getting a solid 30-50fps on the ground with PMDG aircraft at FSDT JFK, and 40-60fps…

So what is the biggest advantage of ActiveSky comparing to OpusFSI? Both are the weather engines and I don't know what are the differences. I'm using ENVTEX for textures and OpusFSI weather engine and wondering whether switching to ActiveSky will make me happier? Or maybe I should switch to REX SkyForce? What are the pros and cons for all of them? I'm quite new to this subject and when I'm looking at photos of flights with REX or AS I can't see much difference between my views, clouds etc.. So what is all about? Where I should look to see the difference?

Can you run both orbx and utx at the same time?

Trying to reinstall KSEA without any luck. The installer shows an error after enter the key to activate. I can't remember the error code now I'm not at my computer. I tried contacting Simmarket since they make the installer and told me it's my issue. Google not showing much on this either. If you have Windows 10 64 bit and Taxi2gate installer see if you are able to install without error.

My test flight was an autoland and I wanted to do a more traditional landing with using LOC to get on the glideslope. The flight was a short one from KRSW to KMIA 8R. I took off normally using EPR for the first time and flew my Radar Contact controlled flight at a lowly 9000 ft and 240 kts. The takeoff was nice and the a/c handled well up to course and altitude using FL CH and HDG after a few thousand feet. I then LNAVed by RC instructions until it set me up for vectors when I again resorted to HDG mode and FL CH to descend. I did use the LOC to get on the ILS course and it grabbed it well. At 5 miles out, I went manual on the throttle and AP was disconnected. …

I just bought P3DV4 yesterday and tried my older version 3 OPUS Camera and it seems to work. I plan to upgrade my AS2016 for weather so I only want the OPUS for camera function. Since this is not the upgraded P3DV4 version of OPUS V5 could using it harm my P3D in any way? I already asked in the OPUS forum no reply as of yet.

Hello, Today I bought p3D. I started it and all works fine. After that I decided to install my orbx global, started the game again and orbx was not loaded. Than I saw that I forgot to download the lib. I downloaded and I think orbx is now in my game BUT I can’t get further than 6% loading. I waited an hour or so and nothing changed, task manager showed that prepar is using 0 cpu and 0 disc. It’s not doing anything! Than I clicked uninstall for orbx global, and still the same problem, what can I do to fix it ... really frustrating !! Thanks a lot

Hi all- I'm giving Simstarter a try and have already run into a problem. As you can see in the attached link, Lorby's Addon Manager contains all of my scenery where I can activate/deactivate them in addition to moving them, all in one screen. Looking at the screen shot, all the airports in red can't be found in the scenery tab in Simstarter. How do I activate/deactivate these in SS, in addition to locating them to do so? Hello guys, My name is Steve and im currently building a desktop version of the cockpit from a B737. Im running P3Dv4 and i noticed that running my instruments on a 2nd monitor giving me some performance issues (Frame drops) so now im considering to build another PC for running my instruments externaly which program do you guys use to run your instruments external? cause when i try to search for a suitable program i cant find the right answer. thanks in advance Steve

Hi all, I've had v4 for a month now and its worked great until yesterday. While approaching London Heathrow airport the sim started to freeze every 20 secs for a period of 20 secs. I see the loading circle and then it comes back. I'm using Aerosoft's MA Heathrow Professional, but also with the scenery deactivated in the scenery library I'm having that issue . I've tried this in other built up areas such as New York and Amsterdam but it's fine there. I've tried moving all sliders down and reinstalling all addon scenery and resetting config as well as updating drivers. Nothing worked so far. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

I finally bit the bullet and bought the new Captain Sim 757-200 for P3D v4.1. First reaction after purchasing and installing is "what a stupid thing to do as the CS reputation is not wonderful" Then when I realized it was mine and could it really be worse than my early purchase of the TFDi 717 and the nightmare that a/c was. Well today, I set up and flew a flight from KIAD to KORD using Ultimate Traffic Live, ChasePlane, Active Sky, Radar Contact and other assorted frame rate eaters for my older CPU I5-2500K and newer GTX 1060. For P3Dv3.4 I have successfully fitted the subject AP/GPS in many of the Vintage/Golden Age aircraft I fly. Its a pragmatic & simple approach to allow long flights without having to be there all the time. I have not been able to get it going in V4 & wonder if anyone has found a way, or are using something else that gives an add on AP/GPS in V4 that is simpler than a GTN750 approach. T45

How do you fly all those addon propellers with outdated GPS nav data? Is there anything updatable yet? Thanks

Hello! I have been thinking about upgrading my computer for a long time. The problem is im only getting around 15 fps at EHAM(p3d V4.1) and it cant handle any dynamic lighting at anytime. Any of you guys, who can throw me in the right direction of what i should buy as an upgrade to my system? Addons. Envshade, orbx global, pmdg 777, Flytampa EHAM, Active sky v4 and GEX. Hi all, I have been flying my trusty Real Air Baron around the USA and enjoying the cooler States weather. I always plan and fly IFR flights and the Baron has instrumentation for full ILS approaches. I have noticed that I was always given visual approaches by ATC. However this morning I was giving the option of a GPS approach to one airport and on my next and last leg I was given a full ILS approach. The weather was VFR in all cases. My question is, does anybody have any clues on how PR3V4 decides what approaches it will offer a pilot and if there is an option to force a particular approach type?
