I am installing Orbx scenery for my new P3Dv4 installation and noticed that the airports that used to be under Global have been moved to their respective Regions. I found all the ones for North America except for Grand Canyon (KGCN). Does anyone know what happened to it? Since I have it installed in Steam can I just copy it from Steam to P3Dv4 and add it to the scenery library or is there more to it than that? Noel

As the topic suggests, can't make this key assignment work in slew mode. It's working fine in normal mode but in slew mode I do see how the cursor changes to the cross hair icon in the same way it does when in normal mode but when I keep space depressed and move the mouse, nothing happens. I've double-checked I have the exact same assignments both in normal and slew mode but still it won't work in slew mode. Any ideas? I'm on P3Dv4.1

I have used this program, written by Maarten Boelens, for several years with no problems. Now with P3D v4 whenever I load AutoHotkey.exe a web page opens telling me I need a script. When I finally got a script and loaded it, pressing my fullscreen hotkey results in a fullscreen but the simshrinks to less that25% of the screen. Anyone know what's wrong? Is there an alternative other than using Alt+Enter? which still leaves a gray bar bottom of screen. Only change made is a new monitor: Samsung 28" UHD 3840x2160 Help appreciated Neal H

I have mostly used FSX with PMDG aircraft, but today I can use some GA relaxation. I have ORBX PNW scenery, and was hoping that if you fly GA in the region alot, that you might recommend a GA airport high up in a scenic area in PNW where I can take a low flying (except to avoid an errant mountain) flight looking at the beautiful scenery. Hi All, I was just wondering if there are many Asian airports for P3D 4.1? As far as I know, Imaginesim is still hard at work on Singapore's Changi Airport. I understand a lot of developers are focusing on the American and European regions and my only wish is that they look into Asian regions as well. There are plenty of beautiful airports and surroundings prior to landing however its limited. Does anyone know which Asian airports are out there for P3D 4.1 as I would want to purchase it. I already have DD Miami City X for P3D v4 and think it's pretty ugly looking with the blurry photo textures around the city. Latinvfr just came out with their v4 of Miami and was curious to know which one you guys think is better?

Does anyone know where I can find a good PDF Tutorial document for the TFDi Design Boeing 717? I am not interested in video tutorials. I want a "PMDG tutorial" style document that I can look at as I am flying the plane. There does not seem to be a document of this type included with the product.

To any of my P3D 64 bit peeps, is there any news on A2A’s famous immersion product called Accu-Feel? I found a few words on the matter that the devs posted half a year ago but no current news. Maybe someone out there has a little more info? Not having this product was really a deal breaker in me moving to P3Dv4 but I did anyways because well... it was just time. But it would just be nice to know if we can all be expecting Accu-Feel in the near future...

Yes, I know I'm only about a century behind with this one, but do UTX and OrbX Global Vector do more or less the same thing? Or have I got that completely wrong?

So with the rumour mill stirring and starting to bubble, the rumour says that LM have opted for a new lighting engine in P3dV4 which is an 'alternative' to physical based rendering - apparently it will 'surprise' us. (Okay, whatever..) Does anyone want to comment on what the plausible alternatives might be - and if possible shed light on what it might look like. (pun totally intended)

Been away from Prepar3D for a bit. Updating and fine tuning my setup. Gonna try finally giving up on dynamic lighting in effort to improve my VR experience. Question is, can I just globally disable it in settings? Or do I also need to individually disable it in each scenery configurator that I had set it to on additionally? Hello: When I have 2d cockpit turned off, and virtual cockpit off, (so nothing but a scenery view on screen) I do not see any shadow of my aircraft on the ground while flying. If I turn on either one, I get a shadow. Is this normal, or do I have something set wrong? thank you -stampee

Hello: When i have Nav lights turned off, I still see them when looking out the windows. i like to fly with no cockpit visible, and find this distracting when panning around, seeing those large nav lights on the screen. p3d v4 thank you -stampee

Anybody know what might be causing the two instances in the below video? First: Textures 'revealing' as I roll down the runway (however they are very low res); I have Rex Texture Direct Enhanced Edition installed, and lots of OrbX. I tried restoring Rex to the original textures and it didn't give me any confirmation that it had done it, and when I opened the sim the Rex textures were still there.. however I did have a problem at this airport (GCTS) where on landing I hear no callouts until '20, 10' then suddenly the plane slammed down on the runway (no transition) - but haven't been able to replicate this (perhaps I was at a different touchdown point). My experience with P3D out of the box was just unwanted. I'm not the simmer that expects to get 40-60 FPS out of their computer, but instead I aim for a smooth rendering experience between 20-30 FPS. The default experience was horrendous, and can be summed into one word: stutters. Or maybe another word: micro-stutters. So I attempted to understand what settings were creating the stutters. One thing I could rule out was my GPU. Although a GTX 660 is no Titan, it is never fully used and its VRAM is never depleted, so I suspected my CPU was bottle-necking the GPU: a i7-2600K. I am curious to know. When does PP3d start logging? Is it the moment PP3d loads? or is it when the engine starts? Also, when does the logging end? At engine stop? or at simulator shut down.
