Does installation of the latest Flyinside disable native VR or alter the .dll? I used to be able to fly both with native at times and Flyinside before I upgraded to the latest Flyinside released in December. Now when I load Prepar3d without Flyinside there is no VR option. Any thoughts? Or is this as expected?

The amount of scenery I have in V4.1 is getting very, very large. Have any of you had success, hopefully with no loss of performance, installing some scenery to an external SSD?

I've returned to flightsimming after a long absence, using both X-Plane 11 and Prepar3d v4.I switch from one to other depending on my mood; aircraft choice; whether I'm flying day or or night; and if I'm crossing familiar terrain. The major difference between the two is the "atmospheric" feel of X-Plane vs. P3d. XP colors seem more muted and with a haze that give it a very realistic feel. P3D always seems to me to be rather garish, looking more cartoonish than real. Is there a tool, a tweak an add-on that will bring P3D more in line with the look I've come to love in X-Plane? Hi guys, i need your help now. I just setup a new prepar 3d v4 after fsx. Firstly it just worked fine. Then i setup my addons like vatsim(vpilot) , PMDG , Ultra Realism Pack then it started to crashes.

Hi I installed today UK2000 Heathrow Airport and then i guess the problem started. Everytime i select airport it is crash to desktop without any error message or nothing. I tried to disable the airport in the P3D V4 Addons folder and i got this problem again. What can i do? Thank you!

Could you help me with TrackIR Center View command please? I'd like to move the "centered" POV of TrackIR some inches to the left in VC to match my EZDOK2 settings. Which file in Prepar3D should I modify? I use EZDOK2 and adjust my "centered" POV there to my liking. Now I've added TrackIR but unfortunately pressing "Center" button moves my POV view somewhat to the right. I haven't used TrackIR since FSX, so I forgot how I did that in FSX. I need TIR's centered POV to match my EZDOK2 centered POV. Thanks!

Does anyone know if orbx plans to update Bozeman International since the airport constructed a new runway (11/29) since they released the scenery?

Hello guys, so i just wanted to ask all of you is there any up to date lybe scenery? There was one from SkyHighSim but theyre website is down and you cant get it scenery any more. Since updating to PP3d 4.1, I noticed that the FPS displays "HEALTHPOINTS=1" along with the frames per second. What does this mean? and from screenshots and videos I have seen, I get the impression that not everyone has this. I am just curious as to what this means and why it's not shown on everyone's systems.

Cheap skate that I am I have been rationalizing staying with my FSX too long. After todays OOM at Flight Beam KMEM and hours of reading the forums I am so seriously about to get P3DV4. My main draw back is the repurchasing of addons I already own but would cost a fortune to bring P3D up to the sim I have with FSX Steam. I know the deal with PMDG and A2A , two must haves I could repurchase in time but could some one tell me if the following would have to be repurchased: FSUIPC, AS2016, ORBYX entire FTX Global Range, FSDT and FLIGHTBEAM, OPUS Camera, TFDi717, MYTraffic6, and FS2Crew when I do get around to PMDG repurchase. There's a texture command that you can put in the cfg file to fix this, I forgot what it was. Does anyone know? It's really annoying when you pan around to look at something and then pan back to see your textures black and have to reload. What's the cause of this? The 3rd party airports/scenery? Because I would think that going 64bit would fix these issues. I think the 3rd party developers need to update their addon scenery?

Hi everyone, I was flying very much on FSX few years ago..But I had a break because of school.Now I bought a new System to fly again with P3D V4.I will give the spec's of my system and can anyone give some advices, add-on's for reality and tweaks for realism and quality.I guess my new system will be enough for a good quality.And one more question should I install P3D on my SSD or HDD will it make a big difference or not from reading speed of the scenery and autogen ? Hi all, I used the Delete Generated Files feature to resolve an issue i was having with P3D V4, I have noticed though that most of my scenery addons that were in the scenery.cfg files are no longer working in the sim. All the files are still installed in the correct location but it seems using the Delete Generated Files feature has removed them all. Do i need to reinstall all these sceneries to enable them in the scenery.cfg again? Or is there another way around this?

Hey Guys! My problem is the following: when I'm in the sim, on the horizon all the textures are brown. I had PTA, but I repaired P3D, so theoretically that could not cause the problem. I've seen a number of folks using other peoples p3d.cfg or scenery.cfg files for tweaks and settings. While I have always been a bid skeptical of doing so in the sense of not wanting to break the sim, I might want to give it a try. Is it as simple as making a copy of your current .cfg files and then replacing or copy/pasting the other one you are looking to do? If something goes wrong you just put the original back? I just want to make sure I am covering my steps so I don't have a situation where I have to do a reinstall. Thanks!

Hey, Everyone speculates LM releases a new P3D update when Pete Dowson plans his holiday. I am sure the LM Team and Pete sync this up to be some type of inside joke. I can only speculate. My guess is Feb or March and we should see 4.2. I believe they are on a 5-6 month release cycle. Hit the polls. The prize is "bragging rights" when LM releases it and you predicated correctly on this thread. Lets have fun.

I am thinking of removing NI from my system. Is it as simple as going to "remove programs" and deleting it and then my system will go back to the settings before I had it? I am just having the hardest time with it trying to figure out what changes work and what don't. Changing one setting makes something look great, but makes other areas worse. I think I want to go back to when I wasn't using it to start from scratch.
