Recently there are several threads referring to assignment of CPU cores to improve performance. In one post there was reference to problems with Milviz Beaver. The solution was to "assign core 1". I opened the Config program and found no such option. Hope someone will explain this to me. Thanks Neal H

I've been using for the meteo, on P3D v4.1, ASP4 + REX SKF 3D with its engine disabled and I happened to verify that while the METAR airport reported the presence of hail (GR), do not see and do not... hear this meteorological situation and wonder if it happened to others and if there is an addon that reproduces this meteorological situation. Hi All I am running Queen Of The Skies 747-400 v3 In Prepar3d v4 with active sky, using live weather I have entered a few thunderstorms over Bali Indonesia lately. My aircraft data is telling me I have 9 knots of headwind. I am at 2000ft, I have encountered turbulence. Then within seconds the aircraft has accelerated to 300 knots plus, and refuses to de accelerate. We all wonder how this can happen with 9 knots of headwind. Has anyone else encountered these issues, and may have a solution. Is It active sky or pmdg? Regards Paul

I may have discovered a bug. In P3d V4 when you create and load a flight plan into the sim and you are using PMDG 737-800, Lets say you setup the cockpit to a certain config, Then save this as a scenario. After you go back and reload this scenario at another date, it breaks the ATC and the atc stops working. Addons do not seem to be effecting this. The atc bug happens as a result of pmdg and saving a scenario with a flight plan in it. THen reloading it, you will see that atc stops working. Has anyone else seen this?. My work around is to make sure all scenarios with PMDG are not saved with a flight plan in them. It breaks ATC everytime on my system. ANy insight would b…

FYI, just saw the announcement that Mir & Co over at Flightbeam have released KPHX v2.0. As before a free update if you have the previous version. This brings the last of their original releases onto the FB Manager platform, along with some other improvements and goodies, a few of which from their news feed: Dynamic Lighting (P3Dv4 Only), Floodlight lamp glows, Native 3D ground poly, Moderate performance improvement in FSX, Moderate to substantial performance improvement in P3D, Numerous v1 bugs eliminated, AFCAD improvements. Well, I remember this problem from FSX and for whatever reason, where it is again in P3D v2.3 -- terrain loading stuck at 6%. I have added every possible folder exclusion imagineable for Nortons Internet Security and even have put it into slient mode. Still stuck. I should note that it was working fine just recently. Today I got up and turned it on, and this! Going to try to undo all my recent changes to see if that helps. Anything I'm missing?

I'm running p3d 3.4 and pta 2.11 and I'm getting annoying shimmers on the glareshield. Can't get rid of them.I tried installing new drivers and shimmers go away.The minute I use pta with a preset (any of them) shimmers come back and even i f i restore the shaders the shimmers don't go away anymore. I don't get this with all ac ( i get shimmers with the cheyenne II,premier ia but not with the jetprop). Can any of you help me get rid of them ? I've been struggling with an odd glitch in P3D manifest in several of my favorite aircraft (Majestic Q400, PMDG NGX, A2A Comanche, e.g.) that has me stumped. Something is causing a periodic flashing of certain warning lights and/or external graphics (such as a GPU), and the flashing happens about once every second....weird. I've never seen this before and am racking my brain trying to determine what's caused it. I'm running with the sim (P3Dv4) the following add-ons: AS (networked), AivlaSoft EFB, Chaseplane, TIR. Hi, the clouds shadows appearing disappearing issue when panning/turning is simply ridiculous. Any way to solve it ? or is it planned to be solved ?

hello: When I run p3d V4.1 I do not have any "instrument" view selection tab under the main menu. I click on the menu bar, select views, and... there is no INSTRUMENT item in that menu. I have 2d cockpit selections and airport and tower view, selections etc, but there is no line that says "instrument". In p3d v3.1, i have instrument panel view tab. I am trying to get GEview google earth working, but cannot do that until I get instrument views to work. Thanks so much for any advice . -Stampee

This night I wanted to fly my PMDG 747 between Tel Aviv and New York, as usually I launch my P3D, then Active Sky 4 that I use for the Simulator weather and PFPX (My PFPX server subscription expired some weeks ago I maybe should buy a new one to solve my problem) and finally I launch PFPX for my flight plan. I've never had any issues with the fuel calculation using PFPX (ok sometimes 1000 or 2000 lbs differences between calculation and fuel at arrival but not more), this night I had a miscalculation of 80,000lbs. The release was about to 283,000lbs and I had an insufficient fuel with 0,0lbs at KJFK all winds and route was in the FMS. So I…

For awhile now, i have had FSX and been enjoying my boxed copy of the MD-11, and now with the release of P3D v4 many issues such as VAS are nonexistent but one thing is missing...A good MD-11 simulation. Now i'm not asking anyone to make an MD-11 but i can compile gauges/ dlls and i would ask that PMDG perhaps maybe send me the uncompiled MD-11 dlls so maybe i can give a shot at using this bird in P3D v4. Now i understand distribution rights may be an issue and such but the MD-11 isn't really a heavily supported aircraft anymore and its kind of just there now so i see no reason why giving a shot at recompiling its files in v4 would do harm! Owing to getting a message that I've exceeded the number of USB's I could have om my main computer I've networked my main computer to a laptop, I'm pretty sure it is networked ok as both computers can be seen on each other I'm also sharing files ok. My problem is, I have moved two of my saitek BIP panels from the main computer and plugged the USB for them into the laptop, I've also tried installing the software and drivers into the laptop. But when I boot up P3Dv4 the BIP panels are not working. So what have I missed to do, to get the BIP panels to work using the laptop?

Hi guys i have a really strange issue with the particles effect and the strobe/nav lights. Please look at the screenshots bellow. The issue is intermittent. Sometimes it happens and fixes itself if i change views. It happens anywhere where particles are shown. Also happens to ai aicrafts/ I have restored my p3d effects folder from scratch and the issue persists so im clueless now. This is with P3D 4.1. I also have a radeon r9 290 and windows 7

After reading about this tweak a few months ago and how it affects VRAM and GPU usage I naturally set it to 10 and forgot about it. Noticed with complex aircraft I needed to turn down autogen settings quite a bit to keep frames above 25-30. I assumed it was the higher autogen loading in v4 compared to v3 and older versions so I kept it that way. Out of curiousity I decided to fiddle with the terrain size exp tweak and dropped it to 9. I honestly did not expect that much of a difference on CPU but I couldn’t have been more wrong lol. Hi all, I currently have Ezdok installed and I think to start and try using Chaseplane and see how it goes according my fps. i want to ask if i need to uninstall Ezdok first and then install chase plane or there is no need to uninstall it in case I have to reuse it. please advise me George

Sorry if this has already been answered. I did a search and could not find the answer that I was looking for. I own REX Texture Direct with soft Clouds, Sky Force, Active Sky 2016, Active Sky Cloud Art and now ENVTEX. Sky Force and ENVTEX has already been answered so not interested in those settings. My question is the other way, What are the preferred options for Texture direct with EVNTEX. In other words, besides sky textures are there things in ENVTEX that look better then the TD options and vice versa. I know this is subjective but I am trying to get the most out of all of these programs. I hope this makes sense. Thanks, Mike
