Why does using EA settings in my setup give me a foggy overcast look Fair weather setting is passable but all other weather settings are poor My sim looks a lot better with out this setting turned on Am I doing something wrong? xxd09

Hi folks, I was wondering if someone could help me with an issue I just started to have in P3D v4.5. Below is a link to the video that demonstrates the issue I'm having. For the second time, once I start my taxi, (pushing the Thrustmaster throttle forward) I'm experiencing a flickering problem as seen in the video (and it stops once I bring the throttles back to idle). I never had this problem before until I updated the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 to version 457.51. That is when I start experiencing this issue. When I do, CNTRL+Z using EZCAv3, and taxi the plane around, there's no flickering problem. It only happens inside the cockpit. My graphic settings within P3D v4.5 …

Is Ultimate Traffic compatible with 5.1 or is there another AI livery utility available?

Hi, when I turn EA on I cannot see any snow, turning EA off no problem. Is this a known issue and is there a way to make it work? I am using the latest P3D5.1, ActiveSky and ASCA. Thanks Peter

I put this into the Maddog X forum but thought I would try here too. Installed the 64 Bit P3D v4.5 version of MD-82 yesterday. Registered it ok. When I run P3D Scenario setup, the MD-82 appears in Vehicle Choice. When flight parameters are set & I click on 'Ok' to load everything, the 'Change Vehicle' screen changes to 'No Vehicle Available' & P3D freezes at that point. Concurrently Microsoft Edge fires up and a Navigraph Log In screen appears. It says: 'Sign into Maddog X using your Navigraph account' I don't use Navigraph, & have no log in. Any thoughts on how I can fix the P3D freeze? MD-82 is installed on the 'C' SSD. …

Previously in 4.5 i only used Chaseplane. I then gave MSFS a try and got used to viewing the VC with right clicking the mouse and using the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. I got used to the mouse viewing but it seems as though in 5.1 there might be a conflict as right clicking and panning around gives me issues. However, I like the presets I have in chaseplane. Is there a way to have both Chaseplane running with my presets, but also be able to zoom and pan around in the cockpit via right clicking? I hope this makes sense. Thanks!

Hello! I want to completely start fresh with P3Dv5 and all addons I had installed. Can anyone point me to any already posted topics related to this? My goal is to reinstall P3Dv5 as if my computer has never even had it installed ever before (as if I am installing to a completely new hardrive). If a list of all addons I use is needed, let me know. Anyone else running into DXGI errors with P3Dv5.1HF1? I am having quite a few in circumstances where I am fine in v5.0/4.5. Mainly happens in the FSL Bus but have had one in PMDG NGXu too. Not using trueglass and not anywhere near the VRAM limit... Cheers

I reinstalled everything (planes, scenery, etc.) when Hotfix 2 came out. I love the sim now and it's relatively problem free. However, SODE does not work. When I try to install the latest version, here is the message I get: "[P3Dv5] The Registry holds an invalid path to your Prepar3D.exe. Platform manager will be unable to register SODE for P3D - Please fix your registry" Now, I've always been kind of scared to mess with the registry. If you've ever had a message like this, I would appreciate your help in how to fix it. I am willing to do a Regedit command if I know exactly what to delete or change. Hi guys, would like to have your opinions. I'm about to buy an Airbus 320 family for P3D. So question is Aerosoft or FSLabs. Aerosoft full package is half the price of FSL. Is FSLabs worth an 80,- EUR difference? I heard already the "system depth" is not as good on the Aerosoft, but what does it mean? I do not need a fuel, oil or bleed system to be modelled to the very last detail. But can it (the FMC basically) comply with all navigation procedures that you usually need for a commercial flight?

Hello, i have been messing around with my scenery library order but for what ever reason none of my stock airports have runway or taxi lights at night time. i have many ORBX products so i am sure that it is a library order issue. i use Lorby to change scenery priority. any idea which file would cause this issue and where it should be at in the library? thanks in advance

I have just noticed an unusual activity when I load a plane into the sim now. I have P3Dv5.1 HF1. Example, I loaded the Feelthere E-195 and the PF & FO Displays are all showing together, all rolled up into one little neat package. This does not look right. I also note that when I look at the Aircraft folder under simobjects\Airplanes there was an Aircraft.cfg.bak file created below the aircraft.cfg file. IT WAS NOT THERE BEFORE. This is an auto generated file that I believe is causing this. I tried another aircraft, PMDG NGXu, and the same thing happened. It looks like it does not matter what aircraft I load this aircraft.cfg.bak file appears. It disappears a quick …

Well, the updated scenery is awesome. However, for whatever reason, my FPS at night have taken a nose dive. This is a surprise, considering that there was supposed to be a boost in overall performance. Except for cars in the parking lot, all other enhancements have been disabled, with no positive effect.

Hi guys, need your help. P3D 5.1 HF1 loading auto-generated scenery at exactly 72% P3D CTD all the time without any solution in the event viewer. Reinstalled whole P3D scenery files, content, and so on. Reinstalled all ORBX Stuff, deleted P3D.cfg, scenery.cfg nothing helped. Does anyone of you have a idea? I am desperate. Thanks so much

Does MA Real Turb work in 5.1?

Could somebody please tell me what the default keyboard shortcut is to activate the reverse throttles? For airliners like the PMDG, QualityWings, FSLabs, Aersoft, etc.

I am thinking of going back to P3d and getting 5.1. My plan is to delete 4.5 from my PC and do a brand new install of 5.1, then install all of the countless addons that I bought from previous versions. My question is, with the base 5.1, is there anything that I won't need to install into 5.1 such as Active Sky, Orbx, etc? I am not sure what you get with the base sim from previous P3D versions. Is there anything that was very useful in previous P3D that is currently not working in 5.1?

Do most of the FlyTampa US airports work in 5.1? I made the switch to 5.1 but don't see any specific installers for the FlyTampa stuff. Is there a way to get it in 5.1 without installers? Thanks

Hi, Can you confirm that the clean way to uninstall a scenery is : 1) Launch P3D 2) Disable the scenery in the Addons menu 3) Disable or Delete "'areas" related to the scenery, when possible 4) Quit P3D 5) Launch scenery uninstaller
