It seems as if the time is near to move from V4.5 to 5.1. Christmas is approaching and there may be money available from Santa! Sorry if this has been asked before but which "standard" programs (FSUIPC, GSX, PMDG, Orbx, AS, etc) need payable upgrades as opposed to their being free Thanks in advance. Ian

Has anyone managed to install Tropicalsim LPPR into v.5.1? I have tried installing it into my v.5 add on folder, and copy the link to the scenery in my v4 addon folder, but with no success. Tropical sim homepage is also down. Tor Arild Danielsen

As the title suggests, this is the way I've installed my versions of P3D. My question is specific to GSX. The original install went to the v4 SSD, then I added v5 to a newly formatted and separate SSD. I did an uninstall of GSX and reinstalled for both v4 and v5. GSX shows on v4 but doesn't appear on v5 (SODE does show in v5 add-ons). Suggestions on how to make that work? BTW, I'd ask on the FSDT forums but I've already peeved Virtuali about a "No Jetways Here" question and I don't want to aggravate him further.

I have tried to download the Spotlights software from Flight Sim Labs. I created an account with them but am told my account must be approved before I can download it. I have tried to leave a message on their forum , without logging in as I cant, but get a message email is in use by another user (Me ?) Any help would be appreciated. Steve Cooper

I am assuming the answer is no, but does anyone know if there have been any substantial upgrades to ATC and vectoring in v5? For example, getting the 30 degree turn every 20 minutes on an IFR flight plan because you've been off heading by a few degrees. Hey always give you the "turn 30 degrees" for a few minutes and then turn you back on course. Anyone know about ATC in v5?

Hi, Just noticed that TFDi 717 is on sale (for $32) on Orbx Central, and it really looks like a steal. I really love MD-11 & 717 avionics, and I'm quite excited for it. Do you think it's worth $32? How is it in terms of systems and other aspects? Thanks in advance.

Hello, please I need your help according True Sky P3D5 and the ASP3D. I have no idea how and if needs to deactivate one or the other to have the weather function in p3D5.1. I noticed some black spots on the sky and I have no idea if I’m doing right. I have the newest (yesterday released) version of Actine sky for P3D5 but the important is the settings in P3D. I've had to rebuild my P3D installation from scratch after something corrupted. Although the sim and my usual aircraft and airport addons are now working properly, FLAi for Vatsim is not. I've installed the FLAi Ops Centre again and let that download the models but the first time I fired up VPilot (latest version, 2.6.10) it didn't detect the FLAi models. I manually added the FLAi Simobjects folder to Simobjects.cfg and after doing that VPilot detected the FLAi models as well as the sim default ones. However, when I connect to Vatsim every single FLAi model throws an error in VPilot saying it's corrupt and can't be loaded. I have manually enabled the FLAi model match…

Guys what according to you is the best weather machine combo considering P3Dv5.1HF1? I already have ActiveSky and ... EA on, but those EA clouds look like (no comment) and fog approach looks like this and it is very disappointing so far.

Any other little discrepancies between runways and ILS I should know about?

Hello, I did a fresh download and install of the complete 5.1 HF1 install and it lets me enter my validation code for authorizing via the internet, but on the very first scenario screen where you select a plane, airport, etc. things go terribly wrong - the planes don't show 3D models when selected (or if they do they're oversized), and I cannot change airports or even start the scenario for the default airport before it hangs and CTDs. (one clue - it doesn't appear that the default scenario IS a default - it seems to be an airport in Africa or something and I thought the default scenario was an air base in Florida?). Can anyone who has both the DD Chicago Airports as well as the FSDT KORD shed some light as to whether it is worth getting the FSDT product now that it is on sale? I wouldn’t normally consider buying a second version of an airport, but since O’Hare is my home airport, the wheels in my head are turning. I know FSDT is supposed to be superior, but I am curious if there is enough of a difference to warrant buying it. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Cheers, Pete

...for a look outside, when I return my entire cockpit is there, just as I left it. IOW when you transport back into the virtual cockpit there is no slow painting of textures, dark to light screens, etc. Just a working cockpit exactly as I left it.
