Using the beautiful OzX Goose (on P3D v4.5) and I've had trouble setting the RPM. If I am cruising, moving the handles has no effect at all until I climb or descend. Is this a known issue, and could it be resolved with a tweak to the CFG file? Thanks, Chris

Not sure what I am doing wrong here, but something just doesn't look right in p3d at night time. Everything looks extremely dark and the cockpit textures are very over saturated. I believe my monitor is calibrated correctly as XPlane looks fine (with Reshade of course) as well as other games/programs. If I turn HDR off, then everything gets very bright like how FSX used to be with its unrealistic night lighting. hi, guys I have an i7 9700k and as in the photo I see that my core 0, compared to the other 6, is exploited at 100%. I wanted to ask is there anyone nice who can tell me the number of the suitable affinity mask, considering that I have to use other programs? So I think I'm using the first 5 cores. Hi, I am lately always getting the message on starting an item such as SIMstarter / Active Sky saying that P3D is already running, however when I check on Process Lasso Pro or Task manager it is not showing anywhere. Any ideas ? Best regards Keith P3D v5.1 is running by Keith Sheldon, on Flickr

Hello guys, when I installed ORBX Objectflow P3D v5 crashes during loading and I got an ucrtbase error. If I uninstall objectflow everything is working fin. In ORBX Support forum there are no solutions. Has anyone an idea?

Hello Guys, i Have a Problem With Prepar3D. i cant use mouse wheel for zoom at the aircraft. not just this i cant use it for other works such as set autopilot, reset adirs and all in one word, i cant use it any where. please help me. i have FSX and XPlane 11 too, it Works On The Both of Them, But not the P3D. Hi all, My cockpit in p3d v5.1 HF1 is too dark. I have adjusted light settings in p3d but it was not really good. Is there any suggestions for it? Thank you.

I have Avare and Avare External IO on a Samsung Android tablet but cannot get it to work over WiFi with P3Dv4.5 on my PC. I apparently have not figured out the right combination of settings. Any ideas appreciated! Thx, Al

I am anticipating the leap in the very near future so I am trying to prepare for the event. I have ORBX, FSDT, Flightbeam, Flytampa, LatinVFR and many other 3rd party airports. Most have been installed on my C drive wherever they chose to locate while some I installed on my E: drive. Should I uninstall and delete all the V4 airport sceneries before installing V5? Will the uninstall of P3D v4 remove all scenery files that do not get deleted or uninstalled? I have many BGL scenery files that I created via SimDirector. Will they work in the V5 sceneries? I would really appreciate advice on the way you all did the big change to V5. Thanks in adva…

Hello, I haven't used my simulator in about a week until today. Today I noticed that when I am at the scenario screen and I click on start, the simulator goes to the load up screen and crashes immediately. It happens every time I try to use the simulator. Is there something someone knows that can fix this? I have went through P3D's forum and I have talked to a windows representative and I still have no fix. I did the system scan and fixed all of the corrupt files and it still didn't fix anything. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you. Update: Now it crashes on the startup screen. Not sure why it keeps doing this.

I have gotten this twice so far while using p3d v5.1. Im quite suprised because my PC is not even a month old. I thought people got this error due to running out of vram

It had been awhile since using P3D but I have to say I really enjoyed the ritual of setting up a flight from KSFO > KDEN in the PMDG 777 and discovered an unexpected positive effect of using MSFS for the past month almost exclusively: no need to run P3D w/ the highest graphic settings anymore as it's not going to compete w/ MSFS anyway so why bother. So we unchecked Orbx NCA/SCA, turned down autogen to 'Sparse', vegetation to Normal and made sure I had ample headroom for anything, and indeed did. So the entire flight was smooth and allowed me to focus only on setting up the flight using GSX II and FSCaptain and executing a perfect flight. Nice to not have to make …

I have uninstalled some scenery that was in the add ons in P3d. The uninstaller ran but they are still visible in that screen? How do I remove them? Regards

I am at a loss. I have a brand new computer, and I have been installing addons for about a week now. Out of nowhere, P3d starts, but never makes it past the splash screen. I have tried deleting the p3d.exe file, the dll.xml file, and I even uninstalled and reinstalled the P3d Client. Also, i noticed that it says in the task manager that it is running "very high." I have no idea how to solve this issue. Any ideas would be appreciated. Now i am getting the following error: “The operating system is not presently configured to run this application.” Cheers, Pete

I had PREPAR3D at one time,deleted everything. I downloaded with my id and password. When I opened it up I got a pop-up that read; PREPAR3D cannot open without a valid Scenery cfg. I push the ' Abort ' button then it closes.

So really not sure what I am doing wrong at this point. 99% of the time no matter what I can't get P3D to use the right runways according to winds for departure. I am loading ASP3D first, then loading P3D, winds are 014/18, runway options are 22 or 4. Obviously with winds @ 014/18 I should get assigned to the 4's but I still get the 22's for departure. This is after sitting for a considerable amount of time to let things "settle" as well. Every "once in a while" it will actually get it right but 95% of the time it's just wrong... Landing seems to be fine according to prevalent winds. So what am I doing wrong on departure? I'm sure it's on my end. Thank yo…

I just read with interest that Sky Simulations has revampled their MD-10 to include P3Dv4.5 and v5 support. Hi, I moved from v4.5 HF3 to the latest v 5.1 HF with a clean install (did not have previous versions installed). I see most posts are saying how much better v5 performance is and I agree generally fps is higher however I'm encountering more stutters (compared to v4) at some scenarios: 1. Sometimes when starting to taxi in a complex airport 2. At 4x rate while cruising 3. Dynamic lighting has big impact (in v4 I never had to go back to MSAA in order to get acceptable fps) - however in this specific case I used DL profile from ini builds with Taxi2gate LFPG which was designed originally for v4. I just downloaded the fantastic OzX Goose Redux and am really enjoying it. But I've noticed a few issues with the (now very dated) virtual cockpit and wondered if there was an upgrade I missed or a CFG tweak for any of it... or if I am just flying it wrong. One such example is the Prop RPM handles: they don't seem to have much -- if any -- effect on the plane during the flight, until I am landing. Also, is there a way to upgrade the horribly pixelated and overly bright gauges (that look like they came from FS9) to something that does the Goose's lovely exterior and flight dynamics little more justice? And is there a virtual cockpit light tweak that does a better job …
