Hi all, in P3D v5 with the latest hotfix I have the problem that since the last hotfix no autogen and no ground textrures are loading when I depart from an airport. When I load a flight everything looks fine. As soon as I fly to another airport I have no autogen anymore and very blury ground textures. I thought it has to do with a bunch of addons so I decided to make a clean install. But the problem stays the same. Default airport and default aircraft and no addons installed. As soon as I leave my departure airport no more loading of ground textures and autogen. I have the latest driver. I also tried with the FFTF settings. Frames locked to 30 also did not help. Hype…

Hello! Recently bought the Captain Sim 737, quite happy with it, but I don't seem to use the ACE properly. As suggested, this is how I use it: 1) Fire up Prepar3D. 2) Open the ACE, change the pax and cargo load, press the save button and close the ACE. 3) Select the 737. 4) Load a flight. But when I check the fuel and payload menu in Prepar3D the load is still the default one🤔 What am I doing wrong? Kind regards, Viggo.

After getting hooked on the OZx Goose Redux I decided another same era sea plane was needed in the hanger. And after reading Chock's advice of the Aerosoft Consolidated PBY Catalina having quite well coded engine realism, where there is a need to keep within parameters to avoid engine failure, I though "sounds good" and purchased. I seem to have a problem with Petersburg (PAPG). It has an invisible wall around it. Trying to approach it from any direction and when you get about 5 or 6 miles from it you stop and get a CTD. I can set up a start from runway 4 and fly out but I can't get back without hitting the wall. If I set up a start from runway 22 I'm stuck and can't move and eventually get a CTD after a minute or so. I have SAK and Tongass Fjords installed and am running in P3Dv5. Hi, I was planning to get a few airports for P3D v5, but I really can't decide. As @Rob_Ainscough have mentioned before, many airports seem to be lacking in terms of "new" P3D features like material scripting, PBR, dynamic lighting etc. What are the best airports with these features implemented? Which ones would you recommend most? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have read posts that say win10 is better than win7 for running prepar3d and I would probably agree with this but the issue I’m having with deciding is that I have quite a bit of Goflight hardware in my setup and I’m a bit wary incase some or all of this stopped working due to device drivers. Could someone possibly shed some light on any compatibility issues if known as I would really like to upgrade due to no support for win7 anymore. Thanks Craig

Hi, I've freshly installed P3d v5, and I've bought Carenado 127SP G1000, I'm trying to fix some settings in graphics, I've almost everything set after reading a lot of guides, but I've a problem in gauges, when I zoom out I see the labels of the buttons almost unreadable. I've changed the pixel_size in panel.cfg to 2048 and garmin now looks better (it was awful at first time) but I don't see how to change those labels, any help? P3D v4.5 reboots after about 10 minutes of flying with a Kernel Power 41 error. I have tried all the troubleshooting I have been able to find on the web without success – including AVSIMs excellent CTD Guide; and MS Windows Advanced troubleshooting for Event ID 41. The reboot events were not been captured by AppCrashView and Event ID 41 entry lists error code values of zero, indicating that the system hasn't had time to record the error. My CPU is not overclocked, BIOS is up to date, RAM has been checked and passed, all drivers are up to date, there are no overheating components, and the PSU wattage at 600 is ample for my system, according to OuterVision's power supp…

Hello. I purchased PnP landing gear lever for B737 and I am trying to figure out how to assign it. There is only one toggle option to extend and retract gears. I use G keyboard button and I am wondering how to make it work using PnP gear lever. It is not compatible with FSUIPC though. I read that I can use scripts but I was unable to find how to to do that. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks

Hallo! I restart with flightsim after 2 years. I have almost all my addons from 2 years ago and I am planning to make a comeback. But now I have some questions, wich products are the best to go. question 1: I have ORBX global base, vector, openlc and trees HD (Is the Orbx building a way to go?) So can I use 'FS Global Ultimate NG 2020 or is this the samen as openLC? Is this an extra add-on or is the Orbx product the same? Question 2 What's the most realistic weather set up. I will use Active Sky p3dv5 as engine but do I use Rex Sky force 3d, ASCA or Truesky...? And what about envtex and envshade? Are you using this together …

Since I've recently updated my video card, I'm wondering if anybody is using the hd content. Is it noticeable? Is it a huge performance hit? I'm thinking it only attacks the graphics card which my 3090 should be able to tackle. I've gone back to ea off as I just didn't like some of the things I was seeing. thanks all

P3D 5.1 loads fine, the a/c that is selected can be flown, but when you chose anything from options it CTD. I have not got any help from Lockheed Martin or their forum, even wrote them a letter, nothing. Any ideas would be appreciated

Hello all, I'm struggling to find a Germanwings reskin for the Aerosoft Pro P3D v4 version (CFM Engines), not a special one just the normal livery. Also trying to find a Laudamotion A321 ex Berlin livery, there is one on the Avsim downloads but doesn't work as it appears invisible, I think its a year or two old so probably not for the latest Aerosoft version. If there is a site I am missing that has these liveries available, please let me know that would be appreciated! James.

Hi, I mostly use default P3D airports, but I find them a bit lacking in terms of default textures. Similarly, environment textures like sun, moon etc. seem to be a bit lacking too. Envtex seem to replace most of them, but I have been unable to find any screenshots or detailed comparison in v5.1 HF1, especially for airport & runway textures. How do airports look with Envtex compared to default? Is there any other alternative to Envtex which I can use in v5.1 HF1? Thanks in advance.

As the title says, I'm trying to land on SABE using PMDG 737 NGXu, Prepar3D v5.1, ORBX Global Base and fsAreodata. When receiving instructions from the default ATC I don't have the option to change runway. Just to change approach. No option on the menu! What I've tried: - Change wind direction. Knots = 5 to 20. - Disable / Enable ORBX (libraries and / or Global Base) from Addons. - Disable / Enable Simmarket SABE from Scenery Library. - Enable / Disable fsAerodata from app. - Put fsAerodata on top of the scenery library. - Put Simmarket SABE on top of the scenery library. No matter what I try, I never get "Select Runway" on default ATC, just approach …

I was looking at the VertX DA62 to purchase. I wanted to ask about v5.1 support (I can see some people saying it may work in v5). Also wanted to ask if you can get rain effects for the aircraft. I recently upgraded from V4 to V5, In the VC and overall textures I have noticed blurry textures. So far I have: MIPMAP (ON/OFF) - no difference, FXAA - ON/OFF - no difference, resolution: 1024x1024 - 4096-4096 - no difference, "Delete Generated Files - no difference". Any Suggestions? I'm hoping to keep this thread confined to one specific question, which is, well, in the title: has there been any indication anywhere that LM intends to improve the VRAM management for P3Dv5.x? I jumped back on the P3D train with v5 and have been suffering mightily from bumping my head on VRAM issues.
