I have been very happy with my 306.97 drivers but thought I would give a go with the newest version thinking (in the back of my mind), there may be some improvement. Seems to be on FPS but the visuals just aren't there - getting the "shimmers" and I can seem to lock those down despite various combos inside Nvidia Inspector. Just curious if anyone else is messing with 314.07? Clutch

Hi there, Could any you fine people tell me if OpusFSX works with P3D, and also (as I understand P3D does not have native TrackIR support?), does OpusFSX allow TrackIR to work with P3D? Many thanks for the help.

So - I bought Prepar3D Academic, hoping that this would solve the blurry terrain texture issues (among other things, like a smoother experience, etc). So far, I absolutely love everything about this thing except the challenges with FSX-made products compatibility, although that can be circumvented with a good FSX/P3D "converter" tool. However, I am still suffering blurry terrain textures - using anything from a Cub to a 737, the terrain always gets blurry, especially when flying cross country. I cannot seem to get them to keep up. Which tweak is it that I need to get it to allocate more resources to getting the terrain loading to keep up with me? Or is it something entire…

P3D and scenery checker .. the results indicated a bad broblem: Area 126 is listed twice .. the first one is called Bathymetry .. whatever that is. Anyway it is not in FSX so something new I guess. Could someone check and see if two areas should have same numbers in P3D . My thought would be no. If so, can I manually renumber without getting myself in trouble? what does ORBX have to offer that the others dont? i cant figure out which one to buy? which one has better graphics and such? any suggestions? thx

I understand you cannot have ORBX England lighting activated at the same time as UTX lighting. Is this correct ? If so is there a solution to have both activated as i like to fly cross channel flights from Europe into England at night . Thanks

Has anyone configured P3D for separate or dedicated flight scenarios? Way back when, I had several FSX copies for different configurations: military, general aviation, bush, etc, along with corresponding scenery. Just thought I'd ask before starting the "trial and error" method. plug_nickel

I tried to update GEX from 1.09 to version 1.096, which requires a complete reinstall of the product. Has anyone succesfully done this? I get to the point where I try to open the interface. It asks for my fsx.exe path, which I have in my main P3D folder, and which I point it to, but it does not seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated....

I've recently managed to get FSX running on my desktop really nice with the DX10 fixes - it seems to be pretty good with regards to both framerate and blurries. I've got P3D on my laptop, which is away being repaired at the moment (damaged power jack), and I know that P3D was better than stock FSX DX9 with regards to blurries. The question is, has anyone with both P3D and FSX (with the DX10 fixes) installed on the same machine done a head to head comparison with regards to framerate and blurries?

I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the new EU airports coverage areas (~ 20 km2), but since I mostly fly North America this are good news to me, and hopefully for some of you. Cheers.

So here's my dilemma: PNW sounds appealing, sounds like it will run with the right settings on my Core2Duo system (Autogen:Normal. I have read the PDF). What I cannot find a quick Goigle answer to: 1. Does it overwrite default FSX files, or just install into add-on folder and can then be enabled/disabled via FTX Central? I want to go back to defaults if there are any oddities re: airport locations, VOR info, etc. 2. Can I reasonably combine it with OpusFX and FEX for weather/clouds without bringing my system to its knees? 3. Alright, my second posting in as many days, apologies if this is bad form, but I have another question: I migrated all of the missing stock FSX aircraft over the P3D when I installed it, and now only P3D exists on my system. I'm not doing any migration tool, or anything like that, it was a straight copy and paste. My question is if anyone has been able to get the Virtual Cockpits working for either of the Learjet models originally included in FSX, and if there is anything special needed to get them up and running. Hey, so when I do a flight (I fly jets so I don't use the joystick unless I'm on the ground, taking off or landing) my joystick and throttle (Saitek Pro-52) stops working! I notice that when I want to land and I can't use it! I did some tests and I noticed that my pc still recognizes the joystick no problem, but when I go to prepar3d controller setting the joystick just disappeared! It seems like prepar3d just randomly ignores it after a while! The strange thing is that at the beginning everything is always fine! Only after a certain amount of time the joystick does not get recognized! I also tried using a different plane once I noticed it doesn't work and its the sam…

Hello, So I added trafficX for Prepar3d to my repetoire of products and I can see it in my add on scenery however, there does not seem to be any additional planes or chatter even in the busiest of airports. Can anyone help me figure this out? I have adjusted sliders up and down and I believe my prepar3d.cfg is set for 0 (which I understood was necessary from another poster -either here or on another forum.

Hi i hope somebody can help me! Ive just purchased Orbx's australia sp4 via download, but im getting 'download timeout' messages at varying stages of it. this is proving very frustrating! Could anyone suggest a solution? Many thanks Matt

OK, just thought I give this info if someone else bumps into same problem (I couldn't find any suffering from same issue by googling and searching all possible forums, though). I have bunch of addons installed to P3D, both freeware and payware, including many sceneries, aircraft, MyTrafficX, FSUIPC and REX+OD. I don't know what caused this, but I noticed this around christmas. I've been using terrific SimLauncher almost from the beginnning, so it is difficult to say what exactly caused this. The thing was, that if I launched the flight through starting P3D (default flight) or SimLauncher and decided to change aircraft in the sim I pretty much always ended up in sim hangin…
