Hey, Does anyone know what option needs to be enabled or disabled for P3D to not pick up joystick when starting up. I am using FSUIPC for my joystick calibration. Everytime I manually turn it off, I lose the AI planes due to the P3D bug. I am using Windows 8 and for that very purpose FSUIPC fixes my joystick woes. Suggestions? Thank you

Hi, I have FSX Acceleration, I have installed Orbx NZNI, NZSI and also Real NZ supercity. I have the scenery ordered to load all the orbx scenery first, then the real NZ scenery then the default sceneries. Problem is, I don't see any road surfaces, i can see cars driving around on greenery not roads, when I disable both Orbx and Real NZ I can see the road surfaces (greyish tarmac) when i enable just real NZ, I only see green, when i enable just orbx I see only green. This was with world scenery set to ultra high as well. How can fix this? I was told I needed to have orbx load first, however I like Real NZ cupercity better so I changed the order to …

I bought wales orbx to day but after installment I got the message: Custom Files Validation Report FSX file does not exist. C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\Global\Texture\BridgeRoads.dds FSX file does not exist. C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\Global\Texture\BridgeRoads.dds I unstalled and installed again but each time the same message I also installed the patch but no luck any help would be appreciated.

After 2 days with LM prp3d, and also with the only two add-ons I have working with it, inherited from FSX (RIP) because they already had native prp3d installers - I decided that I would not invest on any add-ons not being prp3d-ready! - all I can say is that: 1) LM prp3d is worth the investment, definitely, with no complex setup or tweaking required (although I was already a master at tweaking FSX...), and smoothness everytime, even when experiencing lower FPS than those I saw in FSX. Stuttering is totaly absent for me, and even using the Aerosoft AXE that started my problems with FSX Gold DX10 and made me change my mind, I haven't yet found any OOM or CTD! 2) LM …

The default P-38 suffers from the same "opaque" canopy windows effect / bug when rain is present. Also, the Constellation fuselage becomes "invisible" when in outside view I zoom out above some levels... Any suggestions? Is there a "rainfix" for prepar3d canopy textures like there is for older (pre Acceleration) models in FSX? Thx

LM Prepar3d for it's stability and smoothness, and Aerosoft's Airbus X Extended for the very nice simulation it provides of the various A320/21 included. Overall systems simulation very well done, and that great checklists and co-pilot functionalities which are new to me because I never bought any add-ons for MSFS to enhance those aspects of the simulation environment.

So first question: is it possible to run on the same computer (and on same partition) FSX and P3D ? I read that one need to be careful (specially using the migration tool) Thx

Hey, I am trying to increase my memory space by removing sceneries to places that I do not travel in P3D. I have been able to remove quite few of them using Scenery Config Editor But there are some sceneries that I can not disable via Scenery Config Editor, unless I manually change their setting in scenery.cfg Can these sceneries be disabled 1) Edwards_AFB 2) Berlin 3) Longleat 4) Istanbul 5) Reno I am leaving all my Orbx, Props, and Global (I know these are required) and default base/scenery/terrain, Oceania, Western/Eastern North America & Europe, Australia intact Thoughts and feedback? After copying a few files from a patch that I used with FSX Gold into the Prepar3d folders without backing up the original!!!! The files overwritten were: - fx_strobe.fx and fx_strobeh.fx, both from <p3d install folder>/effects/ - fx_2.bmp from <p3d install folder>/effects/texture - halo.bmp from <p3d install folder>/texture Could someone provide me the original files please? Hi I have been a long FSX sufferer, but I am looking at Prepar3d simulator with great interest With regards to buying it, if I purchased the $9.95 subscription, does this give you the full version ? Of do you need the $199 license plus the $9.95 sub, or am I over complicating things.

With modern graphics cards capable of using DX 11, if P3D rewrites to use DX-11, what can be expected with Frames per second increase and over all look? All comments appreciated.

I know this is a loaded post, but here goes... I've been wanting to make the move to FSX for a few months now, but my investment in FS9, nice graphics (people still ask me if I'm using FS9 or FSX) have prevented me from making the jump. However, as more and more developers begin to abandon support for FS9, I think my switch has been inevitable. I need a computer upgrade anyway... Because the ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog is such a wonderful control platform, and certainly the last I will ever buy, I thought we should share our config files and ideas, and suggestions for interoperability between P3d and the great add-ons that work with the pair. What do you think? Chas

I was enjoying perusing the P3D site and began to appreciate how it is attracting a whole new focus from 3PD's who are developing for more serious students of flying--indeed I understand that is their stated purpose, but it's good to see what that is translating into. I wonder how that will bode for P3D's core engine development--promote depth and scalability in the core engine, or leave that relatively intact because the eye candy and so forth is less of a focus for training simulators?

Just read that Wales is close to being released. To my disappointment it's not cheaper then England (which I expected because it is smaller) but Orbx decided to add an airport for 'free' (right...) and so the price is the same as the much larger England area. Think I will pass anyway and wait for FTX World. I rather have the entire world in an equal quality then smaller regions being a lot better then the rest. ^_^ (Which is why I also don't use addon airports anymore, so forcing me to buy and use an addon airport in Wales isn't my idea of nice ^_^ ). I enjoyed staying in PNW for a looooooooooooong long time but since I fly the NGX a lot more, those FTX regions don't cut …

Hey, I don't know how I missed this earlier while flying in PNW, but are these KSEA lights normal? Is it normal that they are floating in air? I have reinstalled PNW (with .005 patch - which my installer has), and the latest Jan 2013 libraries. Thoughts? EDIT: IMAGES VIOLATE OUR IMAGE SIZE RESTRICTIONS. I have installed the Aerosoft sceneries for FSX, Gibraltar and Faro, in Prepar3D . Although installation went without any problems, both sceneries don't show up. Then I tried to solve the problem with disabling the respective BR2-bgl's in My Traffic for Prepar3D, but without success. Additionally I tried to solve the problem with different levels of autogen, again without success. Does anyone know about other solutions or an incompability between Gibraltar and Faro on the one hand and MyTraffic on the other hand? Any help is really appreciated! Kind regards Arndt

After installing the freeware Orbx CEN4 I crash when trying to taxi to the runway as if there is a crash box in the way. This has happened with more than one aircraft. There is nothing about this in the forum so surely it can't be general problem? Cheers Tony C

Hi, Does anyone know whether ORBX have plans to release a patch for the North Island of NZ scenery as there are quite a few errors that would benefit from being corrected.

Good morning all. I want to port over to P3D with a commercial licence. At this stage the only issue I have is I want to use RealityXP GNS530 which has not yet released a compatible version. Is it possible, if running a multi-computer network, to run P3D on the main computer, and FSX on a client computer running the RXP products with wide view or wide client? Any thoughts, or has it been done? Thanks in advance. Rob.

Hello everyone, a few days ago I installed the 737 by copy and paste the correct folders and editing dll.xml. everything worked fine until today: Whenever I select the 737, Prepar3d give me the fatal error. so I uninstalled and reinstalled everything but nothing. do you have any suggestions?
