PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Fresh user of that one. Cockpit during day time is so dark that i cannot see a thing without flood light set to bright. I use tomato shade with latest preset, but 737 is the only plane with such dark or even black cockpit. Any remedy ? i would not like to deactivate tomato shade, but maybe can turn off some option to have normal brightness in the cockpit ?

My PMDG 737 NGX bounces uncontrollably a few seconds after it has loaded. I am using ORBX global and vector but only started having this problem after I installed EZdok v3. I've read a couple different threads about PMDG planes bouncing, but there is never an agreement on what the problem is or how to fix it. Is it an FSX bug, Do I need to change the values of the plane in the cfg files? I even tried using 5m mesh resolution. Can anyone please help clear this issue up? I have seen all the post about dark or black nacelles and leading edges at night but on my SWA 737 the leading edges are all black even in bright daylight.

Hello, I recently reinstalled my simulator (P3D v4.5) and therefore reinstalled all my addons, but I have a problem with the PMDG 737, the "switches" of standby power, the battery and trans bus are invisible as well as the "arm" of the head-up display, I leave the images below, Can someone help me? Hi All, I was just wondering whether anyone has found a successful way of going from a cold and dark panel state to a fully ready to fly engines running panel state by simply loading a panel state from the FMC? In the original FSX PMDG 737 there was a panel state named default which when selected loaded the plane ready to fly. I had my FMC set up to load the plane into a cold and dark state on startup and whenever I just wanted to get flying quickly just loaded the default panel state and I was good to go. Hi I need some help, I set FL340 as my step climb on the CRZ page and then dialed in the MCP and pressure panel to that new altitude. Then I pressed flight level change before copying the FL340 on the step line in the CRZ page on the FMC, and setting it as my new cruise altitude after leveling off. After I pressed execute I seemed to have started an early descent while I am 2 hours from my TOD. What did I fumble here? -Angelo Busato

The 737NGXu has been updated. Do not know everything fixed but so far, the FPS have dramatically gone up. Before I was getting single digit/digits in the teens when I enabled the landing lights and turned on lighting for the PFD. Now the lowest I have seen is 30. Update through Operations Center.

Hello, Here’s a weird one for everyone. I have the Alex Farmer Alaska New Colors livery and after the PMDG 737-800 is loaded and initialized - with this texture and this texture only - the aircraft looks to be in a cold and dark state with engines off, however all of the panels are in the powered up/on state yet the displays are dark. Switching off the battery does nothing and the FMS is also dark and cannot be used to put the aircraft in any state. I’ve used this livery 100s of times with this sort of thing never happening. This is an all of a sudden issue and none of my other NGX liveries do this. Has anyone encountered this or have suggestions?

Hi all, On a system which always run very well with the NGX on FSX acceleration. I now have stuttering flights (only for the NGX all other planes are perfect) and when i log events in FSUIPC i find that the log is flooded with event 85637 ctrls. On a forum of Peter Dowson (FSUIPC latest version) i could read his answer on another problem and he stated that this event was used by PMDG. Has anyone a solution for this? my system specs: Intel core i7 8700 series with Geforce 870 TI with 11 GB of ram. Thanks

When auto landing I notice that FLARE turn from white to green. Do I have to do anything when that happens or is this only an indication that FLARE starts ? Thank you Paul12

After loading the Christmas update, I tried to complete a flight between KLAS and KSFO. Attempt #1 ended with a P3D hang about 25 miles out from KSFO. I tried the same flight again, and got the same hang on short final (rwy 28). Being the hard head that I am, I made a 3rd attempt. I decided to change to the NGXu Long startup state from the custom one I saved prior to the update, so I started a scenario, changed the startup state and exited P3D. Hi, As in the real aircraft if you recall in every circumstance, the master caution light up and the ngx doesn't behave like that I wanted to ask if it might be possible to modify by myself the "code" that is behind that and fix the issue. PMDG know this error from years but they didn't fixed it up to now. So in the end I only want to know where is located the code that is responsable of the aircraft systems working. Hi guys! I've been flying with the PMDG 737 NGXu for about a month now, and I recently had a problem with the CDU on the 737-900ER. I was performing a flight from KORD (FSDT) to KLAX (FSDT), with the latest AIRAC FMS data and charts. About 100NM before my last route waypoint I start setting up the arrival procedures in the CDU. The approach I used is ILS RWY06R, and the STAR is MDNYT2 (MDNYT2.06B) with HAKMN transition. When I go pressing EXEC on the CDU, it seems the aircraft cannot compute the SPD/ALT for the arrival waypoints and I get a "VNAV DISCONNECT" message. I've been playing around using the search capabilities in the EFB. It works great for searching the manuals. It will find the search term and show which manuals have a match as well as the number of hits in each document. After selecting and opening a document, I haven't found a way to do a "find next" within the document. It opens to the correct page for the first hit, but I don't know how to jump to the the next one. If I use page down, I can see that all of the hits have been highlighted within the document but the EFB doesn't load pages very fast, so it has been taking a long time to find the subsequent hits. Hi All, I have an issue on the last couple of flights on the descent. I'm running the 737 ngx through a CP MCP. I turn the speed knob down to the required speed and the bug reduces as you would expect and the auto throttle reacts accordingly. The problem is almost immediately the speed bug on the CP MCP reverts back to the max of 400 kts so i keep having to wind it all the way back to the required bug speed again and then the whole process starts again! Very awkward on short finals as the auto throttle suddenly tries to achieve 400kts!!! Any ideas as whats wrong here? Many thanks

What's the longest flight (in hours and nautical miles) you've been able to accomplish with the 900ER and aux tanks? It looks like at full fuel, you can get 53000lbs of juice. If you simulate a BBJ3, your load out should get you at least 60 pax with 4200lbs of cargo without exceeding MTOW. I've been struggling to find any range maps for the ER AND aux tanks, so it's impossible to really tell what max range should be. I'm pretty confident you can do longish haul transatlantic flights if you're departing from the east coast, but I'm curious about central US departures (say KDAL->EGKK which is roughly 4300nm). Thoughts?

My OC shows that I have 3 notifications. When I click on Notifications - It states "A new version is available for the PMDG .... Do you wish to download it" . I then go to the drop down menu - "Install Update" - I then click on OK. A black "DOS" window appears briefly and the download does not start. Any advice would be appreciated. John
