PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I got a problem that plague many others as I see in the net. Is there an "official solution"? After a while the mouse clicks, switches and rotary knobs stop working in the PMDG 737 800 virtual cockpit. Sometimes some clicks still work, but most don't. It happens a varying time from 1 to 10 minutes after the start of the simulation. It does not happen in every flight. I have no details yet on what causes the issue. The PDMG is the only plane with that problem. I tried readjusting the seat to the front, going full screen and back, switching views, but nothing works. Reloading the PMDG does not help too. Restarting the FSX helps, but the problem may strike again. …

Hello all, I've been an FSX user for many, many years, and decided to upgrade to FSX-Steam. Using WIN7. Uninstalled EVERY mention of FSX and installed FSX-SE. Installed the PMDG 737-700/800 and B747. The issue is that the new liveries does NOT show up on the A/C selection page. The OC tells me that the liveries ARE installed. I am lost now. Any help will be appreciated. Hi, after to have installed the last update of PMDG 737NGX for FSX, FSX crashes all the time while closing. In the detail of the crash appears that the module causing that is the PMDG_737NGX_2.dll. How this can be solved? KR Joe

Hopefully someone has some advice for me, I recently upgraded my NGX to the latest version using Roberts' advice of a clean install. My issue is now when I close FSX I get an APPCRASH message with the fault module name PMDG_737NGX_2.dll. This did not happen prior to upgrade. Any ideas? Thanks Andrew Dixon

Hi all, Some years ago PMDG offered printed manuals (FCOM, FCTM and QRH) for their NGX. I’ve been looking all over the web for a real QRH, but haven’t been successful as of yet. I think it would make a nice addition to my home cockpit so I thought perhaps someone here has one lying around gathering dust. I do have a few real QRH’s in digital PDF form but it would probably be wildly expensive to print all 424 pages myself, and besides, I don’t know what paper size they’re printed on and in what binder size they are placed. So, any suggestions? Anyone have an old QRH lying around? many thanks, Stefan

Good evening, Just noticed a change in my B737 NGX. Went to start for a flight today. All seemed to work as per normal, when I started the right engine. The start switch wouldn’t return to the OFF position after the engine stabilized (the fuel cut off lever was moved up at 25% N2). The low oil pressure and start valve light extinguish, but that’s where things stop. I can move the switch manually to OFF or CONT. The same thing happened with the left engine. As the switches weren’t resetting themselves, I moved them to OFF and continued through the checklist normally. I have a problem, i have the solution, I don't know how to implement the solution. My problem is that on final approach, I lower the landing gear, my idle goes up from N1 29 to N1 35. At N1 35, when I apply reverse thrust, nothing happens. Here is the solution or reason why. The answer is from the PMDG.com NGX forum. The EEC will command in-flight approach (high) idle when we have engine anti-ice on, the landing gear is down and flaps are in landing configuration.That 35% probably is correct for the 737. That approach idle is maintained approximately for 5 seconds after touchdown and then will go to minimum idle and allow thrust reversers deployment.So the…

I've updated P3D to v5.3 and completed a flight with no issues. Now when I start up all my displays are blank, however when I click on the display, the pop up is fine. Any ideas what the issue could be? I've deregistered the PMDG 737ngxu and reinstalled it but this hasn't resolved it. I've also tried the repair option in Ops Center.

Hi, I want to read the current value of the two engine start levers, especially if they are in the "IDLE" position or in the "CUTOFF" position. The SDK itself has to variable for this state (I found "bool ENG_StartValve[2];" but this has nothing to do with the lever position). I also tried the following P3D variables without success: "GENERAL ENG MIXTURE LEVER POSITION:1", "GENERAL ENG FUEL VALVE:1" and "RECIP MIXTURE RATIO:1". By searching in the forum, I only found answers concerning the events to modify their positions, but not how to query their current position.

I have P3dV5 and PMDG 737NXGu. The F9 key gives virtual cockpit view, and the F12 gives a top down view. Both very useful. I am trying to figure out how to re-program the F10 key to give the Lower Overhead Panel View and the F11 to give the Radio Stack. Any ideas please? RoyH

I have Windows 10 and Prepare 3DV5.22. After the recent upgrade from 5.1 to 5.2 there is an anomaly in the transition level. In the PMDG set up menu I reset the TL to 6,000 ft. (normally fly in UK & Europe). In the performance page I also set TL to 6,000, or whatever is correct for the relevant airport. On the descent, once below 18,000 the STD warning appears in yellow where the QNH is normally displayed. Once cleared to below the TL, I select the airport QNH and all is normal. It is as if the FMC thinks the TL is 18,000, and once below that level on the standard altimeter setting of 1013 Hpa the altimeter should be reset to QNH. Any ideas? RoyH

I recently installed the NX on my newly installed FSX SE. When I load the AC, the Virtual cockpit looks great, the 2D panel looks okay. But when I display the popup panels there's nothing but a black box where the panel should be. I looked at the panel cfg nd all gauges are listed. I recently had to reinstall everythig on my computer (had to wie it due to a virus). Luckily, everything I had installed was backed up both online and on an external hard drive. I put everything back on with FSX in the same order I had done before, including my NGX and updated it to SP1c. I started a flight today and tested the warning systems: no sound at all. The fire warnings, overspeed and stall warnings, GPWS, TCAS, all of my warning sounds no longer play when needed. The sounds are installed and I've tried multiple times to make them work, nothing. They were fine before the reinstall, what can I do if anything, or do I have to attempt an uninstall then reinstall? …
