Hello I hope someone can help me, after getting the result when pasting and saving new file, is that all I need to do? I am not sure if it overwritten the previous FSX.CFG file. David

I started the plane from cold and dark - went through the usual motions, IRS align, routes, dep/arr, then performance init.. but during climb out, VNAV will not engage but LNAV will.. what are the possible reasons for this?

Anyone have any screenshots (external) of the Virgin Australia livery on the 737-800WL? This, and the Qantas (new) livery are two that would be installed first by me when I can get my hands on the NGX, so I'd love to see some screenshots of these.

I remember that someone from the PMDG team(Ryan?) mentioned they'd succesfully used the NGX with TOPCAT. What are the recommended weights, and is the TOPCAT c/g valid?

After having a quite smooth flight with almost no incidents, except the strange Radio Altimeter setting that wanted me to turn down from 34000 ft (it would have taken hours), I experienced a quite new experience on finals. I just had switched off the A/P in order to land manually when the screen became milky giving me the message that my computer ran out of memory. This is quite odd as I do have a Win 7/64bit system equipped with 16 Gig of memory. Just thought I would let PMDG know that when the NGX is on the ground and I switch the view to show the external the plane sort of does a little downward bounce once. I think this happens becuase the aircraft automatically loads very heavy by default, because when I lighten the fuel and payload this weird bounce stops. Just thought to report this ans see if it's a global bug. Its a very minor issue btw

I can confirm what someone else reported earlier. With landing lights on (day or night) and the HGS in use in the VC, the HGS indications "disappear" at any point at which the HGS and glareshield intersect. With the LL off, everything is fine. Adam

Is it just me, or is the TO/GA button (screw) on the MCP panel missing in both the 2D and VC panels? It says it should be there in the Intro-Doc on page 108. I've really grown accustomed to this specific PMDG cheat and hope it can be fixed.

I have a technical question regarding approaches. I've read through the sections of FCOMv2 (Section 4) that talk about underspeed limiting but I'm not sure if the MCP indication indication for this situation is normally encountered in approaches. I notice the underspeed MCP indication (flashing" "A) when I am in an ILS approach and I set the IAS selector to VREF+5. I then reduce speed and add flaps to get down to this speed. Should I hold off setting this speed until I get to a configuration that will allow this speed without violating any minimums or should I go ahead and set VREF+5 and have the indication until I get down to a non-underspeed condition? Im having a bit of trouble seeing a display on it, can somebody explain how to turn it on?

First let me say that I am still getting to grips with flying the 737 after only previously been used to flying GAs and no I have still yet to read all the manuals. However, I have not had this problem with the iFLY and would like to know whether it is something that I am doing wrong (more than likely) or of it's some issue. For some reason I do not seem to be able to reduce power on finals. Even with a shallow approach slope, full flaps and spoilers I still cannot slow the aircraft to less than 200knots and the engine power does not drop below 50%. I have to add, these were just initial test flights without any info programmed into the FMC. Is that the problem or can som…

Hello All, I fly mostly in VC with NGX. I just noticed a strange problem recently: When the NGX is first loaded up in 2D panel, I would get 20-35fps in busy airports like the FSDT JFK and on air I get way above 30s FPS, then I swithch to VC I get around 16-25fps on airports. But when I switch back to 2D panel from VC I get heavy FPS hit down to around 9-12fps. So my VC FPS is now high than in 2D panel! Does anyone know why this is happening? I never had this happen before with other add-on, but it seems to happen on all my PMDG aircraft now. Any suggestion is really appreciated! When I initialise the CDU, where do I get the 'SET IRS POS' info from to line select into the relevent box ? Glen

When using the FMC on a second screen input from the keyboard is not possible. I usually move it out of the cockpit sight onto a second screen. Now as long as the focus is on the (primary) cockpit screen the input is working holding the TAB key but hitting one of the LSKs of course changes the focus to the FMS and then the keyboard input doesn't work anymore. Its not a real big issue but nevertheless annoying to alyways change the focus back and forth. Could there possibly be a workaround for this ? Oskar

........it's brilliant........Ok, after a few hiccups and head scratching and a bit of reading and rerunning the fsx.cfg file through the ******* online tweaker thing, I can now say it's a joy to fly. Can't figure out why I can set every autopilot setting except the auto throttle IAS setting. The knob appears to only be turning in one direction and the setting is 'frozen' at 100.

I have just installed the NGX onto my system. I ran all the re distributables after the installation and read the NGX introduction notes. Basically, it doesn't work. Textures are missing, none of the clickspots work and there is always a 5 second pause (black screen) between the 'free flight' loading screen and the game its self. Hope you guys can help :) EDIT: Apparently FSX asks you to activate the NGX when you first start it up- I haven't been given this message.

switched directories for FSX to C:/FSX as suggested..now I can't install livery change, the directory switches back to microsoft games on the livery installer page

Hi there! I'm enjoying the release of 737NGX! However, I do have one question. During the installation the installation of Directx was canceled because a newer version was already installed. I'm running Windows7 and Directx11.Could this cause problems, because I saw the note that you should not use Directx10. It doesn't say anything about Directx11 which I assume is a newer version.Forgive me is the question might be silly, but I'm not an expert. Thanks for a great product! Regards, Wim Sijstermans

It's making my hand flown landings look completely rubbish. Frankly I think something ought to be done about this. This aircraft is going to destroy the self esteem of sim pilots everywhere. EDIT: Apparently I need to spell out that *I am using hyperbole to make a point about how good the autoland performance is*. Blimey.
