PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I am having the following problem with the throttle overriding A/T when the throttle axis is processed through FSUIPC to add reverse thrust to the lower part of the axis. I have set the "A/T Manual Override" option in the CDU menu to "Never", but despite that when I move the physical throttle it overrides the A/T and changes thrust. Now to clarify matters, when I disable axis processing from within FSUIPC the issue disappears and it works exactly as expected so this serves as a fix. Hi, I was happily following the tutorial, when, upon reaching final on EHAM, I had a CTD. I shrugged and reloaded FS but, since that incident occured, I get another CTD everytime I take-off. Right after reaching 1500ft and starting flaps retraction, the sim freezes and I have to wait for the failure message to come up. Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, faulting module name: PMDG_737NGX.DLL, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x000f097e. Very frustrating to say the least. This happened yesterday, so today I was very careful to exactly follow the instructions in the tutorial. One again, when I reached the point to engage the VNAV,the light on the button will not come on, although LNAV works fine. So I took off anyway and controlled the speeds and altitudes by hand. I flew the whole course and LNAV followed it perfectly, but I had to control speeds and altitudes by hand all the way. I kept trying to engage VNAV without success. I managed to land the aircraft at destination by hand, and although the ILS did not engage it was my fault because I forgot to dial the frequency. I landed 2/3 of the way along the runway, because I had to pitch down…

Just a quick question for the RW NG drivers that are among us. Is the use of the HGS at pilot discretion? Do most US operators use the HGS for most approaches regardless of weather? I apologize if this has either been discussed or is in some documentation somewhere, I am at the office and was just curious. Thanks!

Hello, I just saved some approaches in a 737-800 and tried to load them from the saved flight menu but while FSX is loading the saved flight you hear some switches of the NGX and at 4% or 5% loading FSX crashes to desktop. I tried loading the 737-800 at an airport first and then loading the flight from FSX but that has no effect and it crashes again on 4% or 5%. I searched through the introduction and the forum and couldn't find a similar problem. K. van Kaathoven

no, not with the airplane. but with my cheeks. they are starting to hurt now that i have been running around with a big fat smile in my face since release thursday night. i think i even sleep with it! anybody found a fix for that? i am sure i'm not alone with this symptom...

Hi Fellow Simmers, Just did my first flight from EGCC to EDDK and this plane is an amazing piece of work. Anyway to my point, one thing I noticed on landing is that on the sys page it displays brake temps but even after landing and slowing down to taxi speed all temperatures stayed at 0. I'm just wondering if I have missed something here I mean should temperatures read while braking during taxi because at the moment i'm not recieving any figures. Thanks Jason Paver

The Master Caution button looks askew. Is this according to spec, is it a visual effect, or do I have a graphics issue? The MC button is perfectly straight at FO side and also in 2D. I'm running Vista 64, FSX + Accel, GTX470 and installed NGX according to instructions.

Hello Is there someone who can tell me correct startup procedure? I tried to find them in the manual and also "google". I learn MD-11's startup procedures from Tutorial and also from youtube. So is there any guides or someone tell me, please?

First, this is really some piece of software, my hat is off to you all!!! ok, frustration. Start cold and dark. "shift a" a a few times to get to overhead. battery on. start apu, egt indicates it is running. move the apu gen switches to on, they seem to be momentary switches, but the meter says that the APU is generating power. "shift A" back to main 2d panel, mfd and pfd are off (is this correct?), I am running down the first few items in the normal procedures and expect that the mfd and pfd should be powered, see no instruction in Normal proc to turn the brightness up. shift 3 to get FMS. press FMC ... then press INIT REF to set PPOS, nothing happens. hit menu …

I sent a help ticket already, but can someone tell me what im doing wrong, when I go to download the NGX in the ZIP drive and it gets all the way to 99% done then, all of sudden windows start opening like crazy. Many thanks to PMDG for a wonderful product. However, I seem to be having an issue with the aircraft capturing the G/S. I've tried this at a couple of different airports so I don't think it is airport specific. I've read section 4.20 in the FCOM and the aircraft seems to be within the parameters for G/S capture. I've set the aircraft up to capture the G/S from below, on an intercept angle of 30 degrees and an airspeed of 180 kts. Heading mode, autothrottle, altitude hold are all engaged. Both F/D's are engaged. LNAV and VNAV are not engaged. The APP button is armed. VOR/LOC is displayed on the FMA but G/S is not for some reason. Upon localizer capture, the green …

I'm reading through the forums and starting to get discouraged with the NGX and FSX (more the latter: OOM's CTD's etc) the more I read. I am waiting on parts for my new i7 2600K Sandy Bridge, gtx570, 2X4gb DDR3 ram build however all the issues everyone is having is making me nervous I just wasted alot of money... Is there people NOT have issues? If you have any of the specs I just mentioned, please feel free to reply with how things are going for you so far. I'm not saying there isn't people that aren't happy, they just seem to be keeping to themselves if that is the case.

Hi, I bought and downloaded the NGX today and with my first two testflights it came up that on my systemi have a stutter of 10-11 seconds (the display freezes for 10-11 seconds) every one of two minutes. Anybody experiencing the same problem? I run the MD11 and jetstream flawlessly on this system......so that would rather not be the problem, FR on the NGX are very good actually. Regards,Ben

Hay guys when i watch a replay of my landings i have noticed that the reverse doors on the engine stay closed. But if I just hit F2 they work, this the first time i have seen this in fltsim,

I am contemplating buying this aircraft but saw the recommended spec showed using a widescreen monitor. I currently have an older 22 CRT which uses a 4:3 aspect ratio with a 1600 x 1200 resolution. Can anyone tell me if this aircraft with display properly on my monitor? I have other payware aircraft, iFly 737 included which display fine on it.
