PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hi EveryoneI would appreciate if someone out there could help me a little.I love the look and feel of the NGX so far but am having difficulty finding a step by step set of expanded prodeedures that goes from cold and dark all the way through to ready to taxi and beyond.The checklists I can find in the documents seem abrieviated and dont seem to cover all the items.I have been having a look through all the documentation that comes with the NGX and while there is some expanded proceedures there it doesnt seem to start with a cold and dark office.Also can someone advise where in the checklist for the short turn and long turn starts?CheersBarra

First off, I would like to congratulate the PMDG team as well as the beta testers for all their hard work in completing the best thing that has ever happened to FSX. Hello. Will this NGX fly an RNP RNAV approach/departure with arc segments, say like Juneau Alaska and Queenstown New Zealand ? If so were can we find approaches to load into the SIDSTARS? Cheers

I am loving the NGX. I have never experienced so much realism in FSX. The only minor bug I have encountered is that when I set the thrust to idle, via my logitech extreme 3d pro, they go to idle, then slightly advance forwards (just a tad, I haven't noticed on ground, but while landing). I just read a forum where people with this joystick were having some minor problems, but I also tried with my keyboard (f1) and the same thing occurs, thrust levers go to idle, then slightly advance forwards (to abou 34% N1). It doesn't happen on the ground.

I'm a little puzzled why those folks waiting on emails with their download links don't just use the link that should be in their My Account area on PMDG's site - it was for me as soon as the purchase was finalised and some time before the email with the link came through. Bruceb

Would be interesting to know why they felt they had to put read-only protection on all the simobject files for the NGX. Made making it work with VoxATC and Exdok all that much harder. VoxATC did not even give an error that it didnt update the files. Had to look the hard way.

How much did you spend? i personally spend over 1000$ as i can see that money is worth for it! (for upcoming 777,dash8) too.

Hi: Does anyone know if VRoute will work with the new NGX? If not, how do you import a flight plan into the NGX? I have always liked useing VRoute. Thanks, Chris Catalano

HI: I have been using the Precision FLight COntrols FLight Yoke and Throttle Quadrant. It has always worked well for all my FSim needs. I used to use it with the NG for FS9, and I used it for the Level D 767 with FSX. I am trying to use it with the 737NGX but I can't seem to get the gear lever or the flap lever to work. I need to use keystrokes with these 2 items. Does anyone know why these are not working? Thanks, Chris Catalano

Im looking at installing it two different computers cause I live in two houses, is this possible or do I have to mess around with something.Any advice would be apprechiated, love the plane and really dont want to 'break' it. Also if I need to re-install it on one of my compuiters how many liecences do I get.Love The PlaneCheers

Many issues . . . .fixed some, but can't still get any where with this. When I first loaded the 737NGX the activation was activated successfully, but when the 737NGX was selected, I couldn't get FSX to load scenery past 4%. . . . I fixed that issue by uninstalling 737NGX, removing FSX.CFG, re-installing 737NGX, and tweaking as per the manual. When I re-installed 737NGX it didn't ask for activation key, so I am not sure what is going on with this whether the key file was saved some where and it re-activated the 737NGX on its own or something is wrong. The reason I mention this because when I load the 737NGX it will freeze once the scenery loads and I can't do anythin…

Why buy an e-mail I have received, and also has purchased a success, but still have not received download address?

I downloaded and installed the NGX in 24 hours (welcome to Indonesia/the jungle), but to my surprise there is no display of the exterior model when looking at the airplane from outside. I'll try to reinstall FSX these days, will let you know if the problem persists. In my first two flights, at cruise I tried to change some options in the PMDG Setup in the CDU. At that point FSX did not only crash, but my whole computer shut down (not even the correct shutdown procedure, but the power just went off). Anyone else having this problem? I'm not sure about the majority of 'bugs' people find, but I don't actually think that alot of them are bugs, some 'problems' are just brought about by the shear complexity of the aircraft, and most of the problems can be solved by referring to your Flight Manuals.I do however understand if your aircraft is falling a part, because that isn't normal lol.I hope you guys read this and before instantly calling Bug, just read the manual lol.Thanks guys and Good Night.

So i made some posts earlier with some issues i had experianced while flying. I had rex on during that flight i just did one not using rex and had no issues with anything at all. Did you (as in pmdg) do any testing with rex on your systems? If so what settings did you use? Any tips on setting these two up so they will work together?

I returned from work today (Fri Aug 5) and managed to download and install PMDG's new B737NGX quickly, smoothly and without any difficulties. Simultaneously (well, 30 minutes later), my wife arrived with a parcel from the post office, which contained the new Training Manual I ordered a few days ago. I want to think that PMDG delayed the release of the B737NGX to make sure that I had all the necessary documentation at hand, but it is possible that there were other factors. Guys, I'm using ASE. I have wind for approx 3 secs when startup and then it goes to zero (348 @ 0). Control Z shows wind 348 @ 0 kts. It's like the NGX is blocking the weather as I have no clouds either. Is this possible? Anyone else? Not using FSUIPC (registered). Rather weird. Thanks Simon Illy

Greetings all, As a former owner of the PMDG 737 (FS9 version), I figured it would be relatively easy to get this new bird in the sky. I must have forgotten a few things since I last flew the 737, approx 3 years ago. 2 quick questions:1) After starting the APU, how do you know when it is on? I know it takes a minute of so, but which display would indicate this?2) I had trouble starting the engines. I knew the APU was running by this time, as I had disconnected the external power and didnt get a battery warning. I thought I had the bleed air switch on, and all fuel pumps were on. You have got to be kidding me?! This is probably the best piece of computer simulation I have ever seen. You guys are pure and simply put AWESOME! I am running FSX on an HP DV7-4285dx laptop I bought at best buy and I run FSX with most settings maxed with 80% traffic and I get about 22 to 25 frames. Your aircraft (now mine : ) run easily in the 17 to 20 range. I truly feel sorry for people spending a couple grand to get FSX to run right. Great Job
