Have just been browsing the NGX forum, Checking on as much of the usual new product hickups and solutions while waiting for the PMDG servers to recover from what must have been a huge demand, before making my purchase.I came accross a thread that caught my eye. Not regarding the subject, but the remark made by Ryan in his answer to a customer: Your key is reset - try installation again. If it fails submit a support ticket please, do not keep trying it over and over as this will just run you out of activations again. With FlyTampa's Hong Kong scenery, I set scenery complexity to very dense, autogen to normal, water to mid 1.x, then took off from Kai Tak, flew up to 8,000', turned right and set a course for the Cheung Chau VOR, then entered the IGS 13A approach back to runway 13 at Kai Tak (VHHX). The FPS was showing between 18-24, but I tried not to pay to much attention to that number but instead to the overall smoothness of the simulation in motion. It displayed a much lower FPS than with other aircraft but was just as smooth if not even smoother than many other aircraft. Hi guys Firstly I would just like to say what an excellent aircraft this is, an absolute joy to fly. Well done.One question for you, I don't seem to have any engine noise in the VC, none of that classic buzzsaw noise on a full throttle take off. Even outside there seems to be no engine sounds. Does anyone else have this problem, or is the cockpit of the 737 really that quiet on take off? RegardsNiall

Help!, I've read through the docs and have tried the tutorial about 5 times. For some reason I can't engage the cmd a or the autopilot at all. Maybe a telltale sign is when I turn on the FD I get no bars on the pfd. I tried to reasign a keystroke and nothing happens. Anyone experience this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Errrmmm......... Tow truck?? This was strange. I was approaching Innsbruck (default scenery). Using the SFP I used auto-brake 3 (carbon brakes), spoilers, reverse. During the roll-out I pressed my brakes in order to disengage the auto-brake - nothing happened. The aircraft came to a stop. I set the auto-brake switch to OFF (it had illuminated that auto-brakes were disengaged at this point as a result of the aircraft stopping), and the light extinguished. I applied power to taxi off the runway. Nothing. It was acting like the brakes were on. I was stuck! The brake temps rose to 1.2 - what is this figure? I looked outside - no sign of fire. I ended up terminating the flight…

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a simple cold & dark start-up diagram? I know the manuals that came with the NGX are great but I could do with something I could visually follow .i.e. a PDF diagram of the of the overhead panel we which switch/buttons to use in the right order. it would be greT if this inculded powering the aricraft up, setting the IRS and then engine startup. Hi gents, Only with 800NGX the last installed livery is listed in the livery manager and only this last installed one is written in the aircraft.cfg.For 800NGX WL + 900NGX WL it is alright so far. For 900NGX can't tell, as only 1 livery available yet.

Hello again, A slightly annoying thing I have noticed is that the fuel temperature gauge on the overhead panel is currently at 10, and has been so for a couple of hours where the temperature outside the aircraft is -28C. I would of thought by now it would be at least -15C. I have checked with 2 other NGX users and their gauge reads the same as mine! Cheers, Tim

One thing I've noticed (a tiny niggle in an amazing product) is that many of the callouts you would expect aren't annunciated, such as 80/100kts, Rotate, Pos. Rate, Gear up, flaps up etc, reversers/spoilers deployed - is this just me or was it meant to be? Many thanks! Ben Kolbeck

Hi Installed 737NGX yesterday and flew ok. Just tried to fly other aircraft and none of my other add on aircraft will load. Saying panels missing, DLL missing, Add on manager missing? Any ideas? Many Thanks kevin

This has got to be my 5th or so post :( but another issue, im having...I cant hear pull up warnings, gpws warnings and he like, altitude call outs when landing, the trim wheel changing in flight and a few others.Suggestions?and now another, my DUs just froze...same for CDUs

well im a big fan of flying the first officer view. I was pretty disappointed that the plane did not have a first officer view in the 2d panel. So i spent all day working on the gauges and remodeling stuff. Its not perfect but here is what i have so far. once the panel is complete and i feel it is pretty decent enough to share, i will probably put it up on avsim, and Flightsim.com as freeware content.

Hey anyone know what section of the manuals the normal checklists are in? I've scanned through both FCOM's and the FCTM and haven't found them. Hey guys, I got a i5, 4gb and ATI 5850 1gb... MD-11 Runs fine on every scenery... BUT the VC on NGX is much lower on performance, on Latin Hub SBGR for instance, i get 15 frames... almost unplayable... SO i'm using 2D panel.. and for my surprise the Eyepoint is too low, and i can not change it... On the final approach i just can't see the runway.. Is there a workaround for that? Regards.

First of all, what an excellent addon! I have been doing quite a few touch & goes and I have noticed that I can't see the runway before my nosewheel touches down. Is it supposed to be like that? Many thanks.

First off great addon!! Ok was doing the tutorial, and had to save the flight a couple times. Loading it up today and i get a 737ngx.dll CTD. However the earlier save works fine. Is this due to me not saving the panel state the second save? Also many times after saving i get a black screen with the NGX, and the other thing i noticed is that when loading the plane doesn't seem to initialize every time when loaded. Is that normal? When starting a new flight everything works fine.

I've got problems with clearing active failures. Last i got a 'APU Severe' fault. I shut down the APU and go to the PMDG Setup - Aircraft - Failures and cleared the fault and pushed the exec button. However when i restarted the APU the failure comes again. Thank you, Marino Vande Walle

Hi,is there any way to have turbulences while flying NGX? The introduction tells me to deactivate them, but I would like to fly some bumpy approaches with the NGX too. Greets Niclas

As per the topic title... Added a SAA livery to the manager, it installed perfectly. Flew the aircraft, all went well and then i shut down the sim to install some other liveries. Selected 800NGX WL as with the SAA livery, clicked on "Select Livery to Install", added the Delta .ptp file, it decompressed the livery but messed up the aircraft.cfg file. I checked the aircraft.cfg file and the first entry was [fltsim.0] which is the PMDG livery, but the second one, the delta i just added (at the end of the file) became [fltsim.2], and the SAA livery was gone. Tried restoring the default aircraft.cfg file, repeated process: First livery installs, second and third and so on alwa…

I'm reading a lot of issues that can be solved if you follow instructions in the introduction manual. I did all recommendations (after the first sessions in which I didn't) and ik works perfectly. Before I had to lower my settings and it worked okay. Now I have my settings higher and it works briljant! And best tip: use the site mentioned in this introduction and dowload your new fsx.cfg http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html For example: I had planes that disappeared when loading radar contact, or switching tasks. I have an older set of Jepp charts from 2010 and use an late 2010 Airac. If I install the old airac over the one that came with the NGX will it cause any problems? (Does the new Airac have features not included in older ones?). Thanks
