PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. As with 99% of the NGX users out here, I'm ecstatic over the performance and quality of the NGX. But, I found a little error on my system when I decided to change the runway/STAR shortly before the T/D and wanted to know if this is a common occurrence, or if it's isolated to just the Navigraph data for the airport. I normally never change the arrival runways once I'm in-flight, as 90% of the time the weather is constant and would not necessitate a change. But I noticed a windshift on the ground, and thought I'd give it a try. Route was KSLC to KSEA, and as with all my flights, I loaded the landing runway (ILS34C) and STAR (CHINS7) before engine start. ASA weather d…

  2. I run 2 computers - one for 'everyday' stuff like work, emails, e-commerce, etc. and the other almost exclusively for FSX. Here's my question - can I buy the NGX using my 'main' computer, get the registration code etc, and then physically install the plane on my FSX rig (the 2 computers are networked to eachother) or does the activation only work on the computer that purchased the product/received the activation code email etc? Many thanks. Toni.

  3. Started by Recency,

Hello: So far, I have seen PMDG 737NGX interior cockpit pictures, around the web and this site, in which I think are outstanding. However, I have yet to see any PMDG 737NGX interior passenger cabin pictures. For me, this seems kind of strange in that PMDG would exclude an interior passenger cabin to a plane that is suppose to be superior to any other commercial flight simulator plane that is currently on the market. So the question, does the New PMDG 737NGX have an interior passenger cabin?

  4. I'm really enjoying this little birdie. I've never quite been almost emotionally attached to an object like I am with the NGX. That being said, I found a tiny, itsy bitsy something. Really a non-issue for me, but PMDG=perfection right?: In reviewing the "issue", I opted for no ticket. I thought it not worth the time and/or effort. If it'd help, I'd like to know rather or not to ticket things like this in the future.

  5. Captains altimeter underreads on the ground and on climb out. The FO altimeter reads the correct aerodrome elevation with correct QNH set. However, the captains altimeter under reads and after takeoff can differ from the FO altimeter by several thousands of feet. Anyone knows how to fix this problem since the aircraft cannot be flown as the AP etc are working off the captains Altimeter. It has affected all FSX aircraft on file.

  6. Started by steve inwood,

I just wanted to say that as being a first time customer of PMDG i am very happy with my product. I personally don't have any issues with the NGX, well non that i have not been able to resolve myself. My fathers work colleague is a current 737NG pilot for thomsonfly and said this is remarkable accurate to the real plane. I noticed that when your about to touch down the actual plane automatically disables the A/T and throttles back in the flare. WOW!. I'm not anyone special I'm just a normal and genuine customer who is very happy and appreciative of this fine accurate addon.

  7. Started by Greg Goodavish,

Does the NGX have callouts on takeoff (80 kts, V1 and rotate)? I flew my first flight with her, and I didn't hear them. Great aircraft, by the way!

Hey guys :) So, after finally getting my FSX to work properly and not lagging to badly, I completed my flight from London Gatwick to Amsterdam in the PMDG liveries. Awesome, HUGS is still new to me but fun. Just landed and can't get the jetway to attach so just used the airstairs :D Anyone keen for a flight back to the UK?

  12. Yesterday, during my first cockpit preparation I launched the standby power test, where you basically test whether the standby power system, cut out from all other power sources than the battery(ies), has correct voltage parameters. I noticed that DC voltmeter showed 28V, instead of 24 +/- 2, as required by FCOM. I submitted a ticket, and as Ryan explained, it is exactly the behaviour of all real planes that NGX was based upon. All of them have this "bug" (or maybe it is the FCOM that has it wrong, because the batteries provide 28V DC when fully loaded). Seeing this, you really start to _trust_ this plane. Such gritty-nitty details are real joy to see! cheers to the dev…

  13. Never been one to do the autoland thing but I wanted to try it tonight and I cannot seem to get it to work when I press the B , the A + B are lit together for 2 seconds and then B stays lit and A goes off, and vice versa, does anyone have an idea where to find more information in the manual because I cannot find much about the autoland feature in there. Maybe someone has a 'quick and dirty' tutorial for it ?

  14. Started by Starlight,

Hi; I have not purchased "yet". I have heard that a maintenance schedule with failures is possible with NGX. Is it possible to turn this off? Unfortunately, it's not possible to read too much about the aircraft as the manuals are not available for free download such as was the case with the FS9 NG. Thanks, Iain

  15. Hi all, Hoping for some real-world expertise here. So I'm departing from an airport that has relatively low altitude restrictions in the SID for some time after departure. VNAV kicks in soon after takeoff and gets me up to 5000' or thereabouts at a fairly steep pitch angle which is to be expected on takeoff. Having leveled off at 5000 and sat there at 250 knots or so for a while, we're at some point going to get clearance for a further climb. I can do this with LVL CHG or I can stick in VNAV, and hit that little "continue climb" button (forget the name now). But seeing as we're still below 10000 and the aircraft knows it needs to stay under 250, this results in a massivel…

Hi All, Hopefully I've not missed anything here (searched etc.) When I try the typing into the cdu, the commands are going straight back to FSX - e.g. B key, just sends the FSX reset baro command. I have the green rectangle around the CDU scratchpad however, it's like it's slowing flashing? Still no key strokes are hitting the CDU. Thanks Carl BeebyNothing like partly-solving after you post is there, eh? :) Just redocked the CDU with the green box over the scratchpad and undocked it and now it works. However, if i move out of FSX and then back in I have to dock and undock again.... Carl

  17. Hi; Does anyone know if CP Flight MCP and EFIS works without any additional driver support? Or do you still have to buy the FSX driver from Flight Sim Labs? Cheers, Iain

  18. Dear PMDG, Congratulations again on the release of an amazing aircraft. When on approach and flying by hand, I like to deselect the speed mode (MCP SPD) and manually control the throttles whilst still keeping A/T ARM on. This apparently provides some degree of stall protection. However, in the NGX I am unable to use my joystick's (CH yoke; configured via FSX) throttle lever until I also turn the A/T ARM switch off. Note that after I turn MCP SPD off I can manually adjust the throttles using the F keys on the keyboard, just not using the throttle lever on my joystick. Is there a way I can configure my joystick so that this works? If not, perhaps could you fix this in a fu…

  19. Started by Swen,

Hello Guys, do i something wrong? I dont understand this issue, or its my mistake? I want to set decision hight. I switch to Radio and want to set the altimeter. But it starts with 9090 and it cost many time to screw down this value. If im in descent i get all callouts and they are missing on approaching any airport. What do i wrong? Regards Swen

  20. Hi, I have this problem with the altimeter; an ALT DISAGREE problem. Capt's altitude indicator is somewhat 300ft less than backup and F/O's . When I went to repair (maintenance) using CDU, both Flight Instrument and All Systems, the problem still exist. Anyone experienced this or knows how to solve it? Thanks

I use liveries manager to install liveries, 800WL Liveries cannot be installed, but the files already there after check the FSX folder. 800,900,900WL can be installed.

Wow you guys! After 11 flights so far I decided to get up close and personal with this new bird. The little details are everywhere! One thing that suprised me was the reversers! Not only do the doors slide back but when you look straight in to the tailpipe, you can see the bypass diverters close as well. You can also see them when looking through the N1 fan. Way cool guys! The strobe reflections on the ground were a suprise as well. And the faint whine of the hydraulic pumps, the low growl of the engines as the reduce rpm at T/D. The sound package alone is with the 70 bucks!! Well done to all involved.

  24. Started by KristianN,

Hello everybody,I just reinstalled FSX and installed my brand new NGX. All the sound sliders are at 50 (FSX menu)Any suggestions for a good setting with the NGX?

  25. Started by spesimen,

hi nice job on the ngx, anyway i noticed an issue with the audio that i was curious about.(first of all let me say, it's very well done!!! spectacular work on the engines) when i first load the plane cold and dark in the cockpit, it is very quiet. however, if i switch to an external view, i hear a whine (maybe the apu?) even though the plane is completely powered down. even stranger, when i switch back to the cockpit, i hear a new sound which sounds kind of like rushing wind and an engine whine of some sort. it doesn't seem to be positional, more like a 2d sweetener layer. this sound seems to stay on even with reloading panel state. however, pausing the sim will cancel i…
