PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. Hi All, I have noticed that when in FSX replay mode, the NGX has frozen control surfaces and engine fan etc from spot and tower views as well as from cabin views, has anybody else noticed this or is there something wrong with my installation? Many Thanks Ceri Hurlow

    If I am flying a manual approach, what are the conditions for the A/T to idle automatically for the flare? I tried to land in phoenix tonight but had to go around because on the flare my A/T decided to spool all the way up.

    My max flight altitude on the NGX is never much higher then fl370. Even not when I fly with low fuel and no passengers/cargo. I think that this could be at least fl400 (after watching some youtube NGX movies). Any ideas about this?

    I'm keeping an open mind about whether the 737NGX is yet fully stable. But whatever the answer to that issue, I suspect that some of the CTDs being reported are simple hardware problems. Some of the people posting about CTDs have overclocked their PCs. Remember that OCCT and other "stress testers" don't always reach the parts that FSX will reach. Those of us who have been around for a while know that FSX is an unusually demanding application even without add-ons. Every generation of new add-on aircraft stretches the limits a little further. Under this pressure, seemingly stable PCs sometimes turn out to harbour hidden instabilities. Sometimes it is a bug in the software…

    it is worth the money thank you pmdg! we all want to make it better so these are what i think we can do toward the product! i heard someone as PMDG members say trim wheels in NGX are rotating at a realistic speed but i checked some videos of real cockpit the real 737 actually rotates its trim wheel at a faster speed.i also i found in a real 737 if you turn off the pitot switches the lights will not go out as fast as the NGX does.we are also expecting a 1 RTA feature 2 manual gear extention 3 a stable A/P when treansfering from VNAV to heading selthe apu starting sound is expected to be bigger if you are testing the oygen you are expected to switch to Mask(ACP…

  6. I think I have found a repeatable problem for me. When on a flight from sunset to night, I always can't see any lights at landing and the circuit breaker panels will become see through. Also it seems that my sim isn't loading the buildings at the arrival airport. I'm thinking something is causing fsx to not load the night textures which is a shame because the lights are so pretty. I hope there's a fix for this or it's just something I don't know about. Thanks. Edit: I noticed this on a flight last night too so it's not the first time it's happened.

    Hello, new to this forum so correct me if I'm doing wrong in any way...So i followed the topic called "Livery manager issues" or something like that and followed all the steps inside but I still can't get my Norwegan livery to work...What happens when I spawn with this livery is that all the screens are black, even the attitude indicator in the middle of the ND and the display that shows engine and fuel status is black.. It doesn't, as it does on the default 737NGX, start the initializing sequence in the top left corner... It's like that for approximately 30 seconds until my FSX gets a fatal error and crashes to the desktop saying something like FSX.exe has stopped workin…

    i got in a wierd bug,when the APU is on with bleed on, pack's off and isolation open i dont get about 35 psi, but the engine do startit show about 5 psi and its incorrect, when turning on pack L i get about 40 psi. checked it with a real NG driver

    Doing the tutorial flight after reading manuals, still have over a thousand pages to go..Is there a way to quickly set the radio altitude.?? Set the landing Mins to it's radio setting then turning the inner knob down to 100 feet radio altitude.Watching the number on the PDF starting from the 5 thousands, my Passengers had disembarked before I had got to the 2 thousand numbers.... Cannot find any quick way of doing this any help appreciated.

    I have reinstalled my FSX twice (due to my own issues, NOT THE NGX) just to make it run, Never have I before gone through such hoops for 1 addon, instead it was deemed incompatible and retired. Thank you for an airplane worthy of it!

Thinking about 1 of these setups: 1)1x 30" 2560 x 1600 with VC pmdg only or 2) 3x 24 (1980x1080)TH2GO for outside viewand 2x 22" for 2D panel (without throttle quadrant!!!) PMDG 2D or Promsim737 networked Currently I have 3x 22" outside view and 3x 19" instruments running with Prosim737 networked. Most important instruments are available but a 2D panel of airplane is not. Because I am going to live temporary somewhere else and new release of PMDG I am rethinking this setup.   14. Sorry to ask this but where I am I can't test it. E.G. If you change an option via the menus in the CDU (such as autoland:FAIL PASS to FAIL OP) does the sim remember that change without you saving the panel state? Thanks.

    Hypothetically, if you were to learn the PMDG 737 NGX backwards and forwards and had solid radio skills, could you get into a real-life 737NG and fly it from gate to gate successfully? What would be the biggest challenges posed by flying the real aircraft to a highly experienced 737 NGX flight simulator pilot in such a scenario?

  18. Hello PMDG- Team, first of all I would like to thank you for this amazing 737. I have never had so much fun before in FSX ! Although I also bought your other planes for FSX this one is truly brilliant and for that price it is just awesome to have such a true simulation of the real plane on the computer at home. Anyway I have two questions. The first one is as follows: When I load up passengers via the FMC payload screen I always have the number I enter added plus 7. For example I would like to load 85 pax, I type it in and click the line select but it loads 92 pax instead of 85. No matter which livery or what number I type in, it also goes above 175.     The FMS reports 2-3 hundred more pounds of fuel than the fuel gauge shows. The fuel load page shows an accurate quantity, but the rest of the FMS shows 2-3 hundred more pounds. Any ideas?

  22. Hello All --- Well it has been a long, anxious wait and I am about to make the jump and put an NGX in the hangar. I wanted to clarify what actually comes with the basic product. I have read the general product page but wanted to get some specifics.I noticed mention of "Virtual Cockpit" as if it were something other than a normal VC. Question one.Also, the mentioned were "Boeing Manuals" -- what in particular do you get?And I assume the Tutorial and Livery Manager are software components of the product. Help me out here.     I've got a question on proper vnav use. I've read the tutorial and forum entries that state that vnav and lvl change are more utilized than vs. That works fine on climb out but on descent and approach with atc I find vs a more efficient flow. Also when on vnav somehow I descended right through the altitude entered in the cdu at a particular waypoint. Any best practices advice with vnav?ThanksDoug Wilson
