Has anyone found a work around for when the panel freezes up and stops responding? Im anxious to fly this bird again, the two successful flights I had were awesome. I can't seem to get past programming the CDU before it gets me while stepping through the route in plan mode.Andrew

Congratulations dear development and testing team. Just did a few VFR touch and go's at the airport where I'm a 737 passenger a few times a month. I'm very impressed! The performance is also quite good, a lot better than the impression from reading this forum. 20-30 fps on my i7 first generation 27" iMac.

hello, how do you get to the engine start levers

Hi Guys I have a CH Yoke, and have the gear and flaps mapped to two seperate switches. The gear switch works fine on all other aircraft, but when I fly the 738, and push the switch, all that happens is the gear handle will flash. I have to resort to using the mouse, or pushing "G" to get the gear up or down. All other mapped buttons or switches seem fine in NGX, just not the gear. Why would this happen only with the NGX? Hi all, Comparing to the PMDG 747-400 or 747-8, I cannot see the runway in the 737 NGX while on manual and visual approach. I know, many will fuss now and say, buuh, use 3d panel or fly ils or whatever, but I just wondered. Anybody else having the same "problem"? Thx.

A question for developers, beta testers, other users, etc. So far, I haven't noticed any real big issues. But one thing has caught my eye: it seems to take longer to close FSX or end the flight when I'm in the NGX than the other birds. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I imagining this? Also, if anyone knows (and wants to share), what is the NGX doing (saving, writing, closing, etc.) that is so different than other machines that it takes longer? Best.

Hey. Im a probe owner of the 737NGX. But i have some problems with it.1. Then i turn on autopilot, i have an issue when hdg is on and banking vs drops a lot( from 2900 to -3500).2. Then im using the plane my system seems to freeze about 10-20 sec, both on the ground and in the air. I have done the things said in the manual as good as i can.My system information is:CPU: Intel i7 950 3.07GHzRAM: 6 GBGPU: ATI Radeon HD 4800OS: Windows 7 64 Bit W SP1.Joystick: Logitech G940Keep in mind that im not an pro pilot, just an armature that loves to fly around in PMDG's great planes.

Hey When i use the speedbrakes, the airspeed doesn't decrease, the speedbrake leveler is set to up. Help

I'm doing a short flight from KLAX-KBUR to test the autoland and for some reason it's not working, when I'm trying to selet both CMD A & B it selects only on of them either A or B but not both. Is there anything I need to do to make it work, I have no problem with my ifly 737 or pmdg 747 or LeveLD 767. Thanks. Evan Banalian.

Hey Guys, During development, I saw some pictures of baggage carts and handlers loading items onto the 737NGX. Was that a 3rd pardy addon? Or am I missing something totally here? Thanks in advance.

When I wanted to select my radar minimums I had to scroll down all the way from 18000 feet to 200.Whiles the baro minimums started at 200 ftAny one else had this problem?

Thank you. This is very much appreciated. No doubt you have your own testing methods, but you are always welcome to try out your fixed 737 on the FSMP MP FSX server ( FSMP on Gamespy ). The server will tell you within 2 minutes, with an Audio message, , if the fixed 737 is still flooding "spoiler events" after you have applied full Airbrakes. Note: The UDP flooding "Counter", that floods an incrementing count, about 44 times a second, is NOT being included in the FSMP flood detection warning, as this is only flooding the server, and since this incrementing count is not passed on to other players, it is not such an issue to other players in the session. I've set in the FMC the panel (PFD) to 30 and 60 fps but still it's not as smooth as other add-ons. my framerate ingame is about 30-40 and still it's like the panels are not 100% following the actual framerate to make the silk smooth. Any idea - or maybe a small improvement needed?

Today, i was starting a flight. After starting engines i saw a problem on hyd pump A ENG1 . after checking what could be the problem, i had a look at the FMC on the failures and i saw 1 active . Then i have reset it and the active failure has diseapered on the FMC but the pump has stay with the default.How do we have to proceed after a failure. In my case i had to restart all the flight.Is there an easiest way?

Hi,I noticed that the spoilers do not retract after landing when the thrust lever is advanced. I have to retract them manually. Am I doing something wrong (I arm then by pressing ctr and #)? Cheers Niclas

I've have had this problem since release. The displays look odd and i've never seen this with PMDG 747-400X. Both -800 and -900 got the same problem Several reinstalls didn't work. It's not a major issue, and not annoying at all, but still an issue. I just made a HD reformat (Windows reinstall) yesterday, because my HD died. Hi, LOWI RW26, RASTA4A.RTT arrival. I set up a hold in the route at RTT, and made the parameters the same as the go-around holding. It seemed to hold fine (though I didn't see the entry) but on the exit, it exited IMMEDIATELY (it was in the right hand turn after having just passed the waypoint), did not fly direct to the next waypoint but flew a near parallel track, 2.5 nm to the side whilst descending. Very bad news in mountainous terrain. I took over with HDG SEL and put it back on track. It then ended up high on the vertical profile as it kept pulling up to decelerate. Hi, I just installed the PMDG 737 NGX and I run into some problems,In the pinned posts there is spoken about known issues as 'Activation window not appearing' and 'Panel freezes'. what does the activation window mean, you need to activate the plane after installing? Cause I never saw anything that looked like an activation window.When I load the plane as said in the tutorial, I enter a cold & dark vc instead of one with everything running as it should be according to the tutorial. Experts,can somebody explain to me for what reason project magenta software is needed when you fly a bird like the pmdg 737 NGX or the iFly 737? This Products allready come with all this features such as a pfd and a cdu. So why do so many people still you the PM software modules?Thx Frank

I just saw that - FSX/Gamespy multiplayer server UDP event flooding (we think it's fixed) If it's ok, I just would like to say a BIG thx to PMDG DEV TEAM.

I had a flight last night from EKCH to LOWW, but i never succeded in LNAV engage. It always didnt light up when pushed on MCP. I've checked no failures and route should also be ok. I also tried a later waypoint to make sure it was not caused by not able to "catch" the navigation. Hope you can help Jesper Giørtz-Behrens

I honestly can't understand how this product made it out of beta testing, with the supposed wide ranging beta team, with poor performance like this. How is it possible that they didn't comment on the fact that flying this in any sort of scenery or bad weather grinds the show to a halt? It is INCREDIBLY frustrating to know that in the 5 (thanks Heffron for correcting me) years since FSX release, I have FINALLY gotten my computer to the point where it would run things at an acceptable level.
