PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

i bought this plane within the first hours of release, but have not completed a flight yet! when i fly i use active sky, squawkbox, acars along with with flightsim. I have an intelCore i5 760 2.8ghz,4gb Ram 1333mhz,GTX470 1GBwindows 7 64bit500gb hard drive. With my specs as i minimize and full screen, or press the windows button and go back i start getting glitches on the graphics where the plane is half black and some parts are showing. If i minimize again and go back my fsx will crash. I need to be able to minimize or leave the flightsim screen to view my other softwares as i fly i.e Squawkbox. I have had a problem where the NGX will not stay on course it will hunt as if it cannot find the course, I turned off FS PAX and viola! airplane behaves and tracks course.

PMDG et al, I was curious to know why you didnt model realistic refueling like you did in the MD11. Do you have plans to add this feature?

I use Windows XP 64..and cannot get the livery manager to come alive..when pressing the select a livery button, Now I know with Windows 7 ..you right click...and run as administrator...but this does not work in XP 64, If you use XP64 ...and have made this work....would you explain the steps you used, I put the question in a support ticket...But I know they are very busy..and may not get to this small itemand I would not blame them... as I know they have not been getting any sleep lately, Thanks and Best RegardsDon Nelson

I have seen a video and in the manual somewhere that when the A/T is disengaged PMDG has made it easy to sync your yoke throttle with indication on the display. This does not work for me as nothing happens. Sometimes my single throttlequadrant frome Saitek disengages somehow but still have the green light on but making it impossible to manage the quadrant and a restart of the PC is only option (different story from the above but maybe others having that issue?) /Michael

I have FSX running many of my addons on another computer, I tried to Copy my NGX Manuals over to my Laptop but it just shows them on the other computers as a shortcut and I click on it and it cannot find anything, why does this happen, is it for a reason or did I do something wrong?Cheers

Hi, Just dropping by to say that for the first time in my FS history (a long one), I can 100% rely on the VNAV and LNAV functioning as they should, and that they will obey all restrictions.It's amazing how accurately you've managed to model it. I must admit I thought we wouldn't see this happen in FSX. You guys have exceeded all expectations! I must also say that the sound set is so true to life that, when combined with the amazing graphics and modeling of the systems/flight model, it really makes you feel like you're "there". It's just pure joy from startup to shutdown. Like having your own real 737! Thank you!

I tried doing a search and could not find anything on the question I have. With the TCAS I am not seeing any of the aircraft on my flight display showing where they are or height +/-. Also, I did a test and went right towards a aircraft and I did not recieve and alarms or alerts. All I got was the word TRAFFIC in red on the flight display but not direction to climb or descend. Yes, I do have the TCAS switch turned on and it does say test pass when checking....am I missing something else to get the aircraft to be displayed on the flight display or could it be a error? engine started, when trying to taxi, the throttle just move one engine power, the rare thing is that the throttle at the VC move perfectly , the two engine power, any ideas? also how do i get the cocpick to start with engine ons and all cockpits system ok ? thx love 737ngx

Hi! As you can see I´m above 3000ft over the sea, heading for the LOC 25R in LEBL. I got steady pull up warnings and see the terrain ND which comes on automatically. What is going on here??? Thanks,Holger

Hi, Since I intalled 737NGX, ASE Evolution, during the download weather DATA, the side top of the sky flashing, in the same time FSX stutters .... the event ends after the proces of daownload is ended.I never had this problem with other aircrafts (PMDG 747, MD11, LEVEL-D, Feelthree Airbus etc.) During the use PMDG737, to obtain a decent FPS in FSX I have close many services in Windows ...(NOT those that use ASE ... :-))) My sistem is: Windows 7 64bitì7 950 to 3,8 GHZ6 Giga RAM DD3Nvidia Geforce 295 (Set with NVIDIA INSPECTOR as NickN's indications) Fsx.cfg as tips of PMDG can anyone helps me? thanks Lucio

hellojust a few questions about the 737ngx i dont know what i am doing wrong with that beautiful bird : i cannot on engage de vnav button after take off.. no green light.. Lnav is ok.in the fms , i ve all the things complete and ok: the route, the weight ..... etc... and all the fms is set , the speed v1 vr v2 calculate and okbut no speeds v1 v2 vr on the PFD... it stay in yellow and no speed .....so no annoucements i am sure i doing something wrong, but even i read the manuals ( start up and the tutorial too )any help appreciatethanks in advance and nice flights to you allPierre af

Although I've not really had many issues with this INCREDIBLE aircraft, I have had some low frame rates at heavy hubs. Whilst ONLY flying the NGX for a while, I simply knocked back a few simple settings that don't really impact on visuals too much when in and out of major hubs... I've completely disabled all road and boat traffic and, to be honest, haven't really noticed. That alone gave me an extra 4-8 FPS. Not to be sneezed at at all I think. I also set cloud draw distance to minimum, and went from 6/8ths to 4/8ths. Been amazed at the improvement.

Would it be a good idea to request shorter maintenance times, just for the fun of simulation? engine maintenance is about 250 hours and I doubt I will ever fly so man hours in the NGX.So what I'd like to see is an option where we can choose shorter times, like 1/3 of the realisitc cycles. What do others think about?

Hi guys The NGX is simply the best addon plane for FSX yet, but the failures list is very poor. Where are the independent pitot/static, radar altimeter, fuel leak rate, individual light and etc... failures ?If your coding of the plane is piece by piece, it should be possible Why not some kind of network ground station, like on the maddog ?Would just be awesome, imagine the usefulness in a student flight school, I hope your SDK will allow third people to make it. Hello all, First off I'm absolutely loving the NGX (despite having to wait for the -700 haha)! However, I do have a slight issue with the GPWS test audio and suspect that its simply a difference between operators that isn't covered. I used to be a ramper for Southwest and have spent a good deal of time in NG cockpits, and specifically remember part of the test audio for windshear being: "Windshear! Windshear!" (simulated)"Go around! Windshear ahead! Windshear ahead!" (not simulated) Nitpicking I know, but just wondered what the official word was on this :).

I haven't reinstalled it since my clean install of FSX a few days ago. I know the NGX doesn't need it. I'm not using any other aircraft add ons, and probably won't be in the near future now that NGX is out. I've had it for so long I can no longer recall if it is still useful for anything other than weather. I use ASE for weather, so I was wondering if I still might need it for smoothing wind changes. Hello. I've a little problem since the start with this aircraft, well it does not impact so much the plane in it self, but is a little burden. I'm using a Saitek X52 Pro HOTAS as my main contrler as I did for quite sometime now, and there is a problem with the fact that for the NGX it does not recognize command sets in the profile. For example I'm using the CTRL+SHIFT+M command for the Autothrottle disengage switch, as I did for the other PMDG products, so I've set it as well as two other shortcuts I always used in the FMC menu provided for that purpose, only it does not work. I mean when I do it manually on the keyboard it does the right action, but not when I press my…

Hello Maybe someone can help me. In some cases it is necessary to switch from APP to HDG + ALT HOLD to switch runways, make a 360 turn for separation or like in LOWI to turn left at AB for doenwind for opposite runway heading. I tried several times, but for me it was not possible to change from APP mode to HDG and I had to disconnect the AP. How can I do it?

They seem to vanish into thin air... Anyway, I'm wondering about the "wind" sound, or ambient sound while cruising. It's quite loud, I figured the master volume would turn it down but changing it from 100 to 20 had no effect. Any ideas?

Hi all,A little help needed.Aircraft seems to "flare" about 300-400 feet before touchdown. At that phase I have to give a lot of input to point aircraft's nose down otherwise I will overfly the whole runway.Upon touch down the "alt hold" on the PFD is displayed and the warning sound is heard. Hi, I followed the advice to have my fsx.cfg tweaked and tuned by ******* at Venetubo. And among other recommendations I got this: "You have 3 video card entries in your fsx.CFG file. That doesn't look right." And sure enough, in my cfg file there's one ATI Radeon (red below), one GTX470 (green below) and another ATI (red) listed. The one in my system is the GTX470. So - do I just delete the two red ATI text passages and keep the GTX in the cfg file, or what? And - my OS is Vista 64 bit's. Should the GTX Mode be =1920x1080x64 instead of the listed =1920x1080x32?
