Good evening, I bought the NGX at 05 AUG, and I remember to read that the paintkit would be released together with the base package. Okay, everyone here knows about your DDOS attack, but that were 3 days ago. I can't understand WHY staff doesn't say when the paintkit will be available, and why ONE member (you have at least 8 others left) of the team can't pause the support tickets for a while (max 10 minutes!!!!) to make a simple upload. Is that difficult to just upload to the server and make a new link at the Pmdg site? I really can't understand why it's taking so long. LOTS OF PEOPLE are asking for the paintkit. Please say something!

I'm having trouble with the directx part of the ngx install. I'm getting an error message there that directs me to the error log - where it says: setupiteratecabinet()error 32 the process cannot access the file becuae it is being used by another program. I tried both the web updater and the redistributable version on the Windows site. No luck. I'm driving windows7 - directx 11 Any help understanding what might be causing the hang up would be deeply appreciated. Colin

Okay, I can't use the ticket system and haven't been able to all day. That means I couldn't report when my panel froze, and can't ticket this one either. I'll leave it here for now. I used the mouse wheel to deploy them but received a CTD about half way to flight detent. I'm using a Logitech MX mouse, which allows me the option to *extremely quickly* roll the mouse wheel, if that has any bearing. I'm having trouble with the Direct X portion of the install. I have DX11 installed on my machine. The error message I'm getting is not related to the cryptology issue. Hi all,I have noticed a slight sound issue with the NGX upon take off with the FMC fully programmed. I get the V1, VR, V2 sound’s when in the PMDG NGX Paint scheme, but with some of the add on repaints from the PMDG downloads like Ryanair, Turkish Airlines, Air Berlin, KLM I have noticed that I do not get the V1, VR, V2 on these repaints.Has anyone else bumped into this problem?Cheers.

As soon as I apply throttle on the tutorial the nose wheel goes right and the rudder goes right. Have a saitekAV8R joystick but still happens when it is disconected.Any help welcome.

Just got to say as I am making an evening approach into seattle and watching the AC meet my speed and altitude restrictions flawlessly. I am overwhemed by the sheer beauty of this AC virtual cabin and it performance on my system. I am a RW pilot and can really appreciate the sense of flight and other than the seat of the pants, PMDG did ii! Great job gents, a work of art . . . . now back to my STAR . . . Joe

Hi. Ever since I bought and installed the NGX I've been kind of disappointed with the performance. I had single digit FPS (9-10) for the first time since upgrading to an i7, in FSX. This was when going through FL100 in the Netherlands approaching Amsterdam Schiphol. I prematurely blamed the NGX for this. But one thing I hadn't thought of was that one more thing that changed with my FSX setup when installing the NGX was that I increased the Texture_Max_Load setting in the CFG to 4096, from a previous 1024. With REX 2.0 installed and it configured to use HD 4096 textures it, imho, contributed to killing my performance. Anyway, I decreased the texture resolution in REX to 10…

Hey Guys, I dont waste time when flying in Australia in the sim.I fly with REX 2 and I dont open the main program, I just open the Weather Engine and press load WX and fly with what I believe to be relieastic weather. The problem is I get nice weather effects but im flying around then when everything is good we fly into a clould the plane shakes and the IAS goes from 300 to 360 instantly and the sim freez becasue the plane is overstressed.I would like to know how people like to fly with their REX and if they have these issues. AndyBTW I know this is not a PMDG issue

Where can I find airline options for the NG? Like do they use HUGS, PFD/ND or EFIS, Eyebrows or no eyebrows (I know most are gone now). Stuff like that? I like to fly real routes as closely as I can to the real setup. Just another aviation nerd.

I am experiencing a consistent problem with NGX when I access an FSX menu. The screen shot below that was taken just after takeoff from KSFO illustrates what happened after I accessed the FSX Options/Controls menu (to adjust joystick sensitivity settings): This screen shot was taken after I regained control of the screen. Until then, the display was mix of flashing black, flashing clouds, etc. In Star Trek parlance, it appeared like I was in a wormhole. After cycling view options and the "W" key 2D panel options, the problem cleared up. However, the 3D VC was not viewable. Most of the 3D VC views were visible when "s" key was pressed (cycle views). Hi guys, I was flying earlier today and decided to vector my self for an ILS into Gatwick (departed Heathrow) and noticed that HDG SEL did not hold the selected HEADING, but instead it held the TRACK. I had at that time a 20kts crosswind. Just now I was flying into Istanbul and decided to try again and it's the same story. I'll get a screenshot of it next time, but it's easy to replicate. After installing the NGX, I started FSX and noticed that most of my add-on modules (e.g., FSUIPC, FS_Earth, FSCaptain, etc.) were not loaded. I have been recommending on a number of forums the free program FSC for making PMFG-compatible flight plans, calling it FS Captain. NO, sorry about that, the program I mean is Flight Sim Commander (FSC 9). FS captain is another program that I am not familiar with and although it may be very good, I don't think that it allows to make flight plans. Just google FS Commander to find it. I don't seem to have any click spots to open sub-panels on my 737 NGX 2d panel. I have looked at the picture in the flight manual and it seems to indicate that there should be something in the upper right hand corners of each of the frames of the glass areas. There are two click spots on the windshield support (4 & 5) but no where else.

The normal procedures in FCOM v.1 keep referring to checklists for the corresponding procedures. I know they can be found on the yoke and some in the supplementary procedures, but I can't find them in any PDF that came with the product. Where can I get these checklists? I want to print them out.

Hi all, Upon landing, with Autobrake 1 on, the plane landed and reversers + brakes applied. The plane slowed but hitting brake did not disengage AB1. The carbon brakes were stuck on and it halted on the tarmac! Also, adding passengers to the single cabin, BA B738WL, on the FMS adds 7 to the number (crew?) i.e. input = 120; result = 127; however, inputting 174 (max) gave me 181/174. Doesn't mention this in the intro pdf.?? Lastly, when zoomed into the FMS in VC, when the cursor is over the LSK buttons, it rapidly alternates between the hand and the arrow. A little hard to tell if over the button! Just thought I'd share...

The past two takeoff attempts I've made , when I set the TO/GA button in the hidden clickspot, the throttles will accelerate to takeoff N1 and when I'm halfway down the runway, they cutback automatically. I am making sure both FD's are on and in the FMS, I set the takeoff for TO-1 with an N1 of about 93%. I set throttles on my saitek throttle to about 40% manually before engaging TO/GA and then hit TO/GA after spool up without advancing my saitek throttles, could this be the issue? Please help.
