Hello. I have this system:CPU: Intel E8400Video Card: nVidia GeForce 9600GT 512MB4GB RAM I am still hesitateting if buying the NGX, becasue I am not sure if my PC will carry it.I saw the minimum requirements, but can you tell me what should I expect to get with my PC?

Hi I want to do some flights in the orbx PNW area away from larger cities, and in canada. Most runways there are pretty short, so I'm not sure wether I'm able to take-off and land there wit a 738. So I know the needed runway depends on many many factors such as pressure, temp, wind, weight, etc. But in general, no wind, fuel for a 30 minute leg+reserve, and full passengers, what would you guess is needed for the 738? Is 5000ft enough? Let's hope we can learn something here I really don't want to overshoot the runway during take-off... Regards Kevin M.

Question for Robert or Ryan, When the Hotfix is released, will the NGX installer be updated to reflect the fixes? Why I ask this is as yet I have not purchased the NGX as yet and would prefer to download the full installer incorporating the hotfixes if this is the case. Thanks Andrew Dixon

Hi there, it is probably just me being to stupid, but I have just one tiny problem: When I want to set my radio decision height it always starts at something over 9000 feet (yes nine thousand not too many zeros). Is this normal? If not, how do I change that?

Hi, Sorry if this was asked before, but I can't find it. I'm curious as to the liveries for NGX on the PMDG site: Did PMDG make them? Or are they 3rd party liveries? How did PMDG choose which airline to make? Thanks

I'm kinda curious as i haven't had much time to be reading the manual in whole right now and I've not been able to find the answer by searching atm, and am just wondering if anyone can answer this question for me. When i'm taxiing, the airspeed indicator on the PFD is showing 45 knots constantly, I'm thinking I haven't activated something on the panel, but not sure. and also when I'm pushing back, i will try to do a shift + 2 to do a pushback/right turn, but the plane will only go straight, I can do a push back + left turn but not the right turn.. and on the FMC if i try to use the push back feature on the FMC, the plane goes forward instead of backwards.. Hi! It seems that I can´t load any saved flights or situations with the NGX. FSX will load and then at 100% it just stops and that was it. I can just press ESC and quit out of the simulation at this point. Never had this problem before.

Hey guys, I was just about to start an approach on a nice flight from Twin Falls, ID to Reno, NV. I was in VNAV and LNAV descending to FL240 when the winds started causing me to overspeed. I was using real world weather and I have the 'disable turbulence effects' checkbock checked. As soon as I went to correct the overspeed problem the simulation instantly ended crashing to the desktop. Does anyone know what caused this? When encountering FSX's choppy winds what is the best action to take? The flight was so smooth and all of a sudden all hell broke loose and then CTD. Enroute LAS-YYC noticed system A is down to 71%, and acording to FCOM Vol 2 13.10.2 im going to have a RF indication once I shutdown on the gate. Next service is in 248 hours, Is i possible to just fill up Hyd fluid on system A without doing a full servicing? Thanks

I see now why my Gear selection buttons no longer work on the NGX. Looking for the keyboard shortcut there is only a Gear up/down input. No seperate one like the 747.Can we please have this added in a next release so that it is more realistic. Using the same control to operate up and down is not that hot. Waste of an bit of good hardware. Thanks.

I'm one of those 2D user, that found out that there is no 4:3 2 panel.But I would like to think in positive way and as someone suggested try to switch to VC only. So I have some questions about it, ask you how you perform some tasks, as I'm used to using 2d and for now I find using vc quite inconvenient.So, my questions:- how do you switch view to see overhead or radios? I can press "A" several times, but often I want to do it fast, so I would like to have a key assigned to switch directly to them. I can use Shift + number to access 2d, but it's for wide screen only and it's hardly readable on 4:3.- How do you use MCP in VC? It's not visible when looking forward. For exam…

I really want to do touch and go's in my NGX but I don't know how to set it up. Is there a way to program a route to be in a traffic pattern so that I can work on my landings or do I have to manually fly it crosswind, downwind, base leg, final, etc.?

I am reopening this thread regarding the AC not climbing or descending correctly. Hi Ive just uninstalled fsx as per the instructions on the PMDG support section Ive just put disc 1 in (gold edition) and it gives me the option to uninstall or repair?? i cant uninstall it just comes up with a error message and it will only let me repair. any ideas would be appreciated Wayne Aisbitt

My FSX display resolution is : 1600 x 1200.........but the 2D cockpit is OK only with 1600 x 1024 ! I have already set the line in FSX.cfg " WideViewAspect=False" ( also ........=True is the same!!!). What can I do?.... at the moment I strech the panel ....but it is not the right solution !!! Hello. First of all I must say that this aircraft blew all my expectations right into the window. I expected it to be great, but i did not realize how awesome it would be. It is the best add-on airplane I ever seen! Now onto my question. I get weird brake overheat problem while I am actually in flight. I mean everything is fine during the taxi, takeoff and climb out, but after a while I get fire alarm bell going off and an indication that brakes have overheated and subsequently failed. How can they overheat in flight? If I clear the failure after a while it comes back. What am I doing wrong?

I guys. I have had to re-install the PMDG. I don't remember being asked for the activation the second time. I have re-installed the PMDG.So Im wondering if this why the panels are no working. The PFD and MAP modes Is this whay the panels are not working? Is there a complete removel tool for this add-on. I am really stuck at the moment. I can't get any tech support at the moment from PMDG.I can't get the login to work on their website? I've spent good money an this. And it starting to become a bit frustrating.

Going to try Autoland for the 4th straight flight, the last 3 I had an autopilot disconnect on short final.

Anyone had any luck with the RTA Progress page? It's greyed out for me, I can't insert any waypoints, I can't access the LIMITS page, and all other shortcuts from other pages don't work.

(1) In THE PMDG 737, Assuming normal engine start, up to point where fuel value is opened. If you fail to open the fuel valve, why does the EGT still JUMP UP to about 300 degrees, and when the engine fails to start, JUMP back to no display ? What is producing that heat, if there is no fuel --- or is that a min value that displays to confirm that EGT is being measured ?? I know i'm probly doing something wrong but im looking for any suggestions When I took off in the tutorial flight this did not happen everything was great But when doing my own flight.... Advance throttles to 40% N1 then I click TOGAAbout 3/4 down the runway the throttles all of a sudden reduce thrust almost completely?
