PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

    Good morning, I have a question. I read the intriduction and I made the settings that were suggested. I changed the "Wideaspect" or whatever it was to "True" as I have a wide screen monitor. The question I have is this, when I have it set to true, I have a much more glorious view of the cockpit, however, the runway seems narrow and far as if I am looking at it through a peephole. If I remove the Wide aspect, I lose alot in the VC and the wing views but the view out the windscreen looks normal. Is there another work around I might be missing? Thanks in advance.

    I know the Radio minimums is a confirmed bug, but is there any way to fix it while we wait for an update. Mine was originally at 100, then it went to 9100 and it's now sitting at 27100. I really don't fancy clicking through 27000 to get to 100. I have what is probably a basic question regarding the FMC (I'm still learning). What does UNABLE 250 KTS AT (WAL-18) actually mean. I have entered a flight plan from EGAA RWY 25 to EGGP RWY 09 at a cruising altitude of FL200 as it's only a very short flight.   4. The aircraft is a work of art! This is not a huge issue but it is perplexing. I use CH controllers and have the parking brake programmed to a button on my Pro Throttle. It engages properly but after a few seconds it releases. If I set the brake in the VC the same thing happens. I have re-calibrated my controllers and looked for conflicts in my FSX settings. The MD-11 doesn't have this issue.

    Hey Guys! I have a new problem with my NGX. Whenever i want to manage my descent by myself ( dont follow the Vnav path ) the speed goes up and up and up. I turn -1300 V/S into my A/P, but its very hard to reduce speed. I'm flying at IVAO, so i cannot follow the Path everytime and always approaching with 210 knt its annoying. I just bought the NGX and I'm stunned! :D After downloading some repaints, I started thinking "What configurations should I assign to the different liverys?" so I did a brief look around at the forum but didn't find anything.Hence I started this topic. Maybe those who want to share their configuration profiles here, can do so?     I don't know if anyone has encountered this, but the Wind Speed and Direction which is normally located in the top left corner of the PFD seems to appear and disappear. This happens on every flight and regardless of where I fly. I am using ActiveSky Evolution on a secondary PC connection through SimConnect.

    Hi.just did a go around in EGLL 27R and noticed that when i chosed Heading 318 the VOR page in the flight display showed me Heading 316and the map page was showing track 318.if i turn 318 on the mcp Heading should i get 318 heading right?there was wind from west.

  9. Hello all,after a complete afternoon of testing I've found out why I get a crash to desktop (CTD) when loading the NGX. It happens when loading the plane in Free Flight Menu and also if you first start a flight with f.e. a cesna and then load the NGX. I've reinstalled the plane and all VC++ 2008 redistributables with no luck. The last option was to start fsx and load the plane while my Saitek X52 Flight System is not connected to the computer. And surprise surprise everything works. I can't believe it but it's true. I can reproduce by plugging in the X52 System and the start fsx and load the NGX --> CTD!!!     I would appreciate help in contacting PMDG as: 1. I cannot send a Ticket asking for guidance as that facility no longer not allows me to send a Ticket 2.     I'm trying to practice my landings with the new bird, so all I do is fill out the performance data in the CDU, leaving out any route, takeoff, then turn around and try to fly the approach. Ideally I'd have a saved flight right for the approach but I get the CTD at 4% load error so that will have to wait. Anyway, I'm having trouble shooting the approach with the A/P. I don't want to perform a CATIII autoland, I just want the plane to set itself up on the approach (tracking the glideslope and localiser) then disengage when I want it to so I can hand-fly the final.     i just took a trip from tronheim(norway)to manchester with REX clouds and active sky evolution wheather oni was landing in runway 23R with 22 fps i was raining so lots of clouds an wind.no complains from me to fps in this bird. so yes you can have good fps with this 737 ngx just set up your fsx the right way.

    I have been using the 737 now for about 2days now. I flew this morning then came back to it this afternoon to find that it was to be reactivated. I did so, but it won't stop asking for the activation code. I enter it and it says activation successful but then it pops up asking for it again. I have tried reinstalling it any help would be great.     I must say i am very impressed with the details of the 737ngx, it is truly a excellent aircraft add on for the fsx. I do have the JS41 747 and now the 737NGX they are all good but the 737NGX is my favroite as of now. I did 6 flights and no problem from my part. The aircraft really reacts nicely to the controls. It is a state of the art airplane. Thanks PMDG

    Hi All, So as per the FCOM another way to disengage the autobrake system is to move the speedbrake lever to the down detent. Guess what? Our 737 simulates just that! Similar things like this continue to impress me! Thanks Carl Beeby

    The brake command does not work, even if it was mapped in FSX as the period "." key. Another problem I've noticed after landing, during rollout, the autobrakes kick in but I'm not able to disarm them by pressing the period key or rotating the selector back to OFF. The word "brakes" does not disappear in the lower left part of the screen.To remedy the problem I'm forced to set the parking brake then press the period key to disengage.Is there a way to fix this problem?

    I feel a little bad starting this thread with how busy staff is now with much higher priorities but anyway.. I am having real trouble opening door 1L, I can usually open all the doors no problem with the CDU except 1L, it has only worked once but when I closed it, it wouldn't open again. I just changed a few aircraft (checking out liveries) and now none of the doors open (I am sure a FSX restart will fix that but it doesn't work for 1L). Any ideas?     I've had several instances where my brakes stop working. I've looked at some of the other posts and the issue in those posts seems to relate to the autobrake system. I tried some of the suggestions mentioned but my issue doesn't seem to be related to autobrakes. Did a flight last night and landed with autobrakes off and slowed with just the thrust reversers. When I pulled off the runway I had no brakes. If I reset the flight the brakes come back. If I start from a saved flight that had no brakes the brakes don't work. I have CH rudder pedals and the brake message appears on the screen when i use the toe brakes even though they have no effect on the aircraft. Any …
