I live in Vegas so I see southwest all day long. Some of the 737s have a white rotating beacon on the wing as if its a navigation lights but the rotate on one side. Others have the red one of the udnerbelly and the nav lights. Any reason to this other then maybe model and age? Thanks

Hello,first of all i wan to say that 737NGX is the most realistic aircraft i ever exprience.At about FL300 the FMC assign to about 290-300 knots (cant remember).But the plane is just at 257 knots.and why the plane climbing slow above FL200?Thanks for the help :)

Hello all. Hello PMDG. Very nice product this NGX. Well worth the wait!Ok. I just realized that on the Continental 900WL Livery, the American flag is reversed - on the right hand side - above the rear door.I haven't checked the other liveries. I am having a major issue not sure if it's a pmdg issue or a lack of computer performance. My entire flightsim screen will go black and all I will be able to hear is sound. I have never had this issue before using this plane. It also only happens with this plane. Which leads me to believe i'm trying to do to much with my sim with the hardware I have. Here are my specs. Hey fellow simmers, I flew the infamous RNAV approach into KPSP. (http://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/1108/00545RRY13R.PDF) So everything went perfectly until I all of a sudden got an impossible descent warning on my FMC almost right before I turned final (around 3700 feet). The message wasn't there anytime before the flight. I've also set my flaps down in time and made sure that I was on speed. I double checked the FMC with the chart before the flight and everything matched. I also made sure that I set the RNP value to .30 before the T/D. It's frustrating because I absolutely loved the approach but was unsuccessful at the end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

encountered an issue on a flight today from MUCL-TTPP My route of flight had me going to a VOR (POS) which is roughly 8 miles south of the field. I changed my route in flight to proceed to the Approach fix for the ILS rwy10 in TTPP. my airway in was the UL337 and so i made the approach fix (SHARK) be put into the CDU after VUDAL. This came up with an error on the CDU saying "VNAV Disconnect" and put the aircraft into "ALT Hold" The fixes on the approach had altitude restraints (SHARK at 4100ft and the TRINB at 1400) and the FMC didnt want to recalculate my descent profile. I removed the altitude restrictions to see if that would clear the error but that didnt do it either…

Hello, Just a suggestion, wouldn’t it be cool if we could add Airline announcements sound packs to our 737?I would certainly buy a sound pack for let’s say Southwest, with all the crew/cabin announcements as well as the ones from the Captain. It would be nice if they were very easy to play too, like CRTL+ SHITF+ 1, 2, 3 etc.What do you guys think? Edgar

I put a ticket in yesterday, and Ill re-post what I said in it here as well. if anyone has had the same issue and have fixed it please let me know! As you can see in the attachments I have no info displayed, no air speed and Alt ect. I also did a fresh installof FSX and the problem still happened, I gave it a third try by re downloading the NGXand a install, still with no luck.

I have a reproducible (for me, at least) issue with the CDU and the map display. Basically, the map display freezes in a sense, and the CDU breaks. i had the ngx and then my computer crashed. when i first had the ngx i had this problem where the cockpit textures were blurry and i reset the had textures and it was fine and now that i have it again the textures are blurry and i reset the hd cockpit and nothing happened and i read the intro.

Need help from someone I installed the 737NGX basic pack as recommanded and also have modified the fsx.CFG as suggested. The 4 variants of the plane appears well in the airplanes menu. After my choice have loaded, FSX crashes immediately as the flight deck appears on the screen. I tried to reinstall whitout success. During the installation, at the end of the process, I had this message: " DirectX 9.0 Web Set up, Command line option syntax error, Type Command / ? for help" Can you help me with that, may be there is a relation with the crashing problem mentionned. ? Hi. I would like to ask why the 737NGX has an Align Mode on the IRS switch? According to the Oerations Manual V2 Chapter 11.20.5 the selector switches should be moved from OFF to NAV to Align the IRS. It then says ALIGN should be used for fast turn around at airports as it does a quick Alignment.But I would like to also ask,if the IRS as already been setup for its original flight (first flight of the day ) the IRS would stay Aligned through the FMC after completing its first trip,or do pilots in the real world Align the IRS after every trip? Hope that makes sense lol. Tony

Hey all, Not sure if it's been noticed yet or not, but the HGS only view in the 2D cockpit displays the Flight Path Vector and runway edge lines off center. The other day I was landing in KLAX with HGS active. In the VC, all was good and the flight path vector was planted right on the runway, along with correctly placed edge lines. In the 2D HGS, everything was pretty far off to the left side. All the static instrumentation was correctly placed, but the dynamic parts were not at all matching what was in the VC HGS.

I hope that I'm not posting this prematurely, but I am almost 100% certain that I have cured the chronic OOMs that I have been experiencing since I purchased my computer about a year ago.I uninstalled FSX from Program Files(86)and re-installed it directly into my C: folder, then I went to ******* Bojote's tweaking tool and installed the reworked FSX.cfg file back into FSX.I installed the FPS Limiter and set my nVidia GTX480 with Inhancer and set my options per the PMDG instructions.I installed the PMDG 737NGX and did a flight. yes, I did scan the manuals but this is difficult since I found no cockpit poster with a reference to all those knobs. so, first I thought I have a bug. brightness of outbound and upper DU was perfectly scalable. But not the one of the inbound and lower DU. until I zoomed really close and realized that the latter 2 have sort of 2 turning knobs in 1 and I need to grab the lower one to adjust the brightness. but what the heck does the upper part do? was turning left and right but could not see a result in the cockpit? in the picture below you see that the lower DU brightness knob seems to be turned completely left = dark but the DU is actually bright. if you look closer you…

A question to anybody at PMDG. I have been following with interest most of the comments good and bad on the 737NGX but also on the FS2Crew forum. I note that they are waiting for you to release the SDK before they can start coding thier addon. I think the FS2Crew will be an excellent compliment for such a faboulous, ground breaking bird so I was wondering if the SDk will be released any time soon or if you are waiting until all the little bugs are worked out of the 737NGX?
