PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Why are all the PMDG products now only download and not boxed?I bought the MD-11 last year and it is boxed. The reason i'm asking this is becauseI dont trust the downloading. Like if you download it you can lose it, but when you haveit boxed you have it even though you don't have it on your computer. Could someone explain thisto me? Also could someone give me info on when you download a payware product how to get it backwhen you lose it? Thank you

after the MD11 (virtual cockpit without glass cockpit) and many posts about it by me and other users, finally i see the glass windows inside the 737 VC but since the beginning i had a strange feeling. after a small and short test finally understand. tell me if im wrong: the team has made the frontal glass windows thinner then left&right ones, right? its easy to understand it coz if u look the same point with the frontal and then the left/right windows the colour is different...lighter with the frontals ones...almost invisible..like MD11&747 feeling like im flying the MD11...i dont know what to say...why u dont give me/us the chance to select or not the glass witho…

Although Im impressed with the ngx, I have to agree about the fps hit.After using other pmdg products, and especially the md 11, it came as a surprise to find Im back in time about 3 years, stuttering wise. please dont patronise me with advise about tweaks and limiters etc, Im an old hand at this. Anyway i suspect there is a small flaw with the finished product, lowering its performance. Its affecting some more than others, and its unfortunate. Hi I want to know how to activate the head set regards Ahmad Faris

If the radar altimeters on the PFDs during approach display different heights and one seems to be obviously erroneous showing maybe "-8" (but the system itself does not regard this as a malfunction and therefore does not stop feeding the autothrottle with data from that altimeter), how is it possible to force the autothrottle using only the data from the system that seems to work normal? Hi there I saw on the forum at some time people having an issue with the Terrain map and getting false alerts when flying over the sea for approaches. To confirm I have just done an approach in LFMT which is on the coast and I to got the terrain warnings of terrain that wasnt there, the red/yellow blobs then continue to be in front of the aircraft all the time. Also if you then try and press the terr button to remove the terrain map it wont work (I tested this on the ground when normal and it does toggle on and off fine) just wont once this false terrain error as occurred(this may be a feature that doesnt allow you to swicth it off when EGWPS is going off) Normal landing …

Dear Staff and Friends;I was away from my house and PMDG released it while I was away, so I installed it to my laptop which I generally don't use, and my performence wasn't good enough so I tried on an another laptop, then I deleted PMDG NGX from both. Hello When I watch replay of landings with the NGX the thrust reverser cowling doesn't open.In realtime outside view the cowlings opens but not on the replay. Is it only me who have this issue?Is there a way to fix it? pål

Hi people. When I stay full ILS, we reduce speed, example, get LOC with 180knots flaps 15, gear down check then we start to reduce speed to minimal safe for landing like 138knots for example, we put in MCP the speed 138knots, autothrottle in ON, we see the throttle start to down, but why the throttle not come for idle position for incriase reduction speed for safe landing ? I repair when use fly level change the throttle work fine, como for idle position or when use VNAV they works good, the problem is only when I stay for landing usually after gear in down. N1 stay between 37% - 40%. How reduce speed easy with this problem ?

Ok, as I was playing around with my new toy yesterday it came to me that when I push the SYS press button on the lower DU it displays flight controls page schematics, now, I know that on the 747 you are able to cycle through the system pages for each respective systems but what about the NGX, is it possible or the real plane do not have this capability? I've been trying to keep up with this baby but working over 70 hours a week and a wife on my neck becomes a little challenging to master this craft! Thanks in advance for any feedback!!!

As I stated in another thread I was having trouble with the brakes in a rejected takeoff, my issue was from 130 knots I would only get down to rougly 80 knots before the brake temp went to max (10) and I lost the brakes, well with more testing I have found a strange discovery Here is my problem: 737-800WL, 57.3 tonnes GW, Steel brakes RTO (using autobrake RTO fuction) with use of full reverse thrust and spoiler deployment at just prior to V1 around 128knots Pic showing brake temp brake temp on acceleration (0.0 on all brakes) And picture just after brake temps just shot to 10 and my brakes failed As you can see I am still over 70 knot but with no working wheel brakes at…

May sound a silly question, but I never get freezes with the ngx, but I get very frequent fsx crashes [fatal error, and then restarts the sim automatically]. Are these two different things, or should I look into the hotfix?? Secondly would anyone suggest reinstalling the NGX again, may solve a issue or two? Alex

I downloaded and installed the fix, I made a test flight about 30 minutes and the freeze / crash did not occur. The night will do a complete flight.

There are SO many rumors and bad statements floating around about the SDK that we need this set straight. From what I have read from a few on the PMDG staff, the SDK will be available to ANYBODY but it is up to the hardware manufactures to make their own drivers for their products. They can not charge a fee for those drivers. I take that as a regular private consumer who purchased the AWESOME NGX, i will be able to get the SDK and write my own drivers for my own sim. Hi guys and gals, I have on a number of occations now (all of them) experienced a heavy pitch up response from the autopilotwhen loading a saved flight. That is after the 20 sec initialization the airplane pitches hard nose up, inbig jerks at a time, sending me into the sky and airspeed dropping rapidly. I have to assumemanual control, stabilize the plane, and re-engage the A/P using SPEED mode and ALT HLD / V/S.If I select VNAV the same occurs again. When plane is stable in correct speed and altI can re-engage VNAV. Anyone else with this problem, and any suggestion for solution? Geir, Norway

Hi, Just got done installing the Hotfix. I read that it would alter the aircraft.cfg file, in that I would lose all my addon livery aircraft. Well, I installed the hotfix and none of my livery aircraft were touched, in fact the aircraft.cfg file has yesterday's date. So this leads me to my question. Did the hotfix install correctly?. If so, why didn't it alter my aircraft.cfg file as stated and why is it showing yesterday's date when it was installed today? If I try to run the hotfix again, it states its installed.

For some reason I have made a few approaches now and cannot seem to be getting the proper prcedure correct for the HGS. I have the correct ILS freq and course selected. I put the HUD in IMC, input the correct RWY elevation and length. The FPV circle comes no were close to being near the runway though. If I try to keep the velocity vector over it, I am not coming anywhere close the runway. The FPV eventually catches up to it but I am very close the runway by the time it does.
