Just wondering if anyone else is seeing issues when using EFB on a secondary PC and flying the NGX? I'm not seeing any other AI/VATSIM traffic displayed on EFB when using the NGX. Using any other aircraft, traffic is displayed fine. I get the following error in the EFB logfile: 2011-08-11 21:17:46,868 [1] ERROR AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Exception from FSX received: TOO_MANY_REQUESTS2011-08-11 21:17:46,868 [1] ERROR AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Exception from FSX received: TOO_MANY_REQUESTS (repeated ...) Flight Sim Commander 9 is also touch and go. Sometimes they show up and then they disappear. Just to confirm, I do see traffic outside of the coc…

Greetings all, On page NP.21.13 of the FCOM, I am following the procedure to test the Fire Control panel. When I hold the Test switch to FAULT/INOP, I don't get the illumination of the OVHT/DET light nor the FAULT light. In fact, I get no annuciations. When I move the switch to OVHT/FIRE I get the Fire Warning light, the bell, and the OVHT/DET annunciator...so all is good there. I can verify the annuciator light bulbs are good as I have tested all lights with the test switch. I have loaded the panel from Cold and Dark state, and I have also made sure that there are no FAILURES active in the FMC setup menu, and have cleared any service based failures (actually OFF). Any i…

What an amazing aircraft. PMDG you have done it again! Thank you, it was worth the wait. Any chance of a list of keystrokes that operate the craft? With that list I can start to program my Go Flight modules thru FSUIPC. TIA Steve

Hi: I am thinking about purchasing the NGX but am also planning to purchase a new computer within the next 6-8 weeks when time and money permit. My question therefore is if I have the program on my current computer, what will be required to transfer it to the new computer in terms of licensing and/or activation? I would really love to have the NGX now, but would it be advisable to wait for the new system? Thanks for any suggestions and insight: Jeremy in OKC

Not sure about this, and after a quick search, didn't find anything about it, but my 737-900 United (merger) livery is sporting KLM winglets in the dark once the lights illuminate them. Anyone else have this? Sincerely, Travis McKinneyKEWR

Hey all. Here is another demo video. First it starts off by demonstrating a NADP2 departure. The second part is to show you that you do not really need speedbrakes to get back in the game. The third part is demonstrating the autobrake and how well PMDG simulated it and its accuracy. If you take a look at the deceleration distance formula: 1/2 X (speed in feet per second) X (time to decelerate to 0). So in my case my Vref speed is 142 which is a 240 feet per minute rate of speed. The autobrake 3 setting decelerates the 737 at a rate of 7 feet per second. So the time to decelerate to 0 is approximately 34 seconds. So.... 1/2 X 240 X 34 = 4080 feet. So as soon as the wheels …

It can take a long time to set the barometric minimums when flying into high-altitude airports (especially if you want to be fastidious and set the minimums on both the captain and FO displays). Would it be possible to implement some kind of input acceleration when setting this - faster response to the mouse scroll wheel, for example, or a higher rate of change when the left/right mouse buttons are held down? / Tom Risager

After a touch and go test last night, on the climb after I had the airplane on a stabilized climb at around 1,500', I re-activated the AP, ALT was set at 5,000' from the prior ILS capture set ALT, HDG to RWY heading... Once AP was active, you can select HDG but FLT LVL CHG would not engage, no matter what you try, it won't, after a few minutes of fiddling with all the "what can it be" in my head, I decided to change the ALT to 5,100' and now FLT LVL CHG worked.... Is this by design? I can't imagine real pilots having to change the ALT values after a touch and go or even after a Go Around...

Somebody answered this for me a couple days ago but only mentioned a W key. I have deleted the keyboard assignments for the 737-ngx so can someone tell me where I can find the 2d panel option for the HGS and assign either a key or button to it? Of is there a clickspot? I know where it is in Virtual Cockpit mode but not in the 2d panel mode.

Hi fellas! I have flown for a while at Stockholm Arlanda (ESSA) and have never seen ILS Y and ILS Z before in the FMC. For example, runway 01L have both Y and Z as an option on approach. I can remember from somewhere that Z uses a lower DA then the Y approach. By studing some charts i cant see any difference. Anyway, i do not know if this is true and if anyone knows what difference is i would appreciate if you shared your information with me :) ILS Z chart: http://www.lfv.se/AI...ESSA_5_1_en.pdfILS Y chart: http://www.lfv.se/AI...ESSA_5_2_en.pdf

I have done about 15 autolands in this plane now and something is odd. I kept thinking that the plane was bouncing the landing then I looked outside and saw that it was landing it on the nose gear first? I know in this screenshot, I am not landing into the wind (its the way ATC cleared me) but I just did one at TNCM with a 12kt headwind and it did it? Am I missing something.

Hi all,I know there has been many topics relating to autolands but I still have one problem,In 747-400X I can do full autoland, flair/rollout but on the NGX I can only get the flair to be shown.I approach G/S from below ILS freq. tuned in both Nav-1 & 2 both FD on, both CRS set for runway heading. after I have captured the G/S with one autopilot armed I try to arm the second, when I do I don't get the G/S in the pdf.I have tried changing the type of MCP which I am using and selected "Fail OP" but still not working. Please help.Mark

Is it a possibility that PMDG will include optimizations for improved FPS with a future update/ service pack? I think that would be great because I am running a 4+ghz quad core and a 580gtx with barely playable fps with most normal scenery complexity, sparse autogen, and no water effects at default airports.

I've finally downloaded and installed , thankfully no problems. Hand flown a few hops from Trinidad to Tobago and back with the Latin VFR scenery and this thing is absolutely amazing. It taxis " heavy" and what I love about it the most is that humming sound you get when slowing down the engines after landing and you're taxiing into the gate, and you just rev up a little an then if you will spool down and that low hum plays. It's thrilling to hear it so realistically accurate. Those sounds of th engine especially the small additions of thrust when on the taxiways transport me to all my 738 trips. And I'm gonna compare the sounds of the NGX on taxiing again on Monday as I'…

I am so much in love with the NGX that when i am at work, i am always dreaming of going home and taking my place in the cockpit. I don't want to do any other activity in my free time. I have become a part-time, non-paid airline pilot. No time for any other social or sportive activities. So PMDG, If i turn out to be a fat, non-social piece of &@($* it is all your fault!Seriously, thank you very much for this great plane and also thank you for making a beatiful turkish airlines livery available with this bird.

I have hesitated to post because you have been flooded with adulatory comments from your loyal followers who are always ready to beat up anyone with an adverse comment. But I must say the VC and its views are astonishing. First for setting up your MCP and the like, you have what I think of as the jumpseat view. It does remind me of the high up-back jumpseats in some planes, though I know the 737 jumpseat in the RW is lower. It is also a great view in which to start engines as the lower part of the upper panel is within reach while monitoring the N1 and N2 gauges, and flipping the fuel cutoff at the correct percentage. Beautiful. Another view makes setting radios, tran…
